I just noticed that three of the pictures are actually visible in the title screen. So if you're having trouble with a snowman, a ladybug, or a skier, there's an easy source of hints!

At first the extra colors confused me. Then I realized they actually make the game easier. Still a very satisfying brain teaser. 5/5

Yeah - people have been asking these guys for a "next puzzle" button since they've been posting games here. Ain't going to happen. :(

@lemmingsgopop, when the line/col is filled (including dots for blank spaces ) an arrow appears on the border, red for error, green for OK.

Perhaps, instead of dots you can put crosses. At times, the dots make it hard to see where a square is blank especially if you have a lot of dots in that area.

He's not copyrighting the puzzle type itself, (a nonogram, which has been played since the early 90's) he's copyrighting his specific player. Its like if someone copyrighted their specific digital sudoku player

i wish you would make the dots color sensitive. that way you can focus on one colour at a time and not have to remember which dots are "solid" dots and which are temporary because it refers only to red for instance

I absolutely agree with aearn (i cannot understand why his comment has been that badly donwrated): controls are way too penible for this game to be enjoyable. For instance, squares are so tiny that it becomes ridiculous and placing dots is a real pain. It is worth to note that the first installment also suffered from the same problems. Shame really since this game has otherwise a great potential. 2/5 as is.

wish there was a function that marked a spot that says i can't put a certain color there. like, "well it can't be green but it could be black"

This game is a great game, but for those saying that it isnt an original game, this is a very old game that can be brought in most super markets, the puzzle book is really cool and fairly cheep, some around 100 puzzles for around $10

@superjarvo: No. "Octopus" came to English from Ancient Greek and Latin and in both of those languages, the plural is "octopodes", not "octopi". Since we're speaking English, the plural is just "octopuses".

Pretty nice job, I'm giving a 5/5 as I did to all the other pic-a-pixes. Yet it needs some buttons and functions that aren't really needed for the gameplay, but they could make players to enjoy the game even more :) This game is the proof that creativity and logic are sisters :D

I would have thought the "light" version would include lighter puzzles. It takes me longer to start most of these than it did to fully solve the older ones!

Those magenta bars that insist on violently announcing their pinkness throughout the entire board are terribly distracting.

Please, hire pixel artist and make HIM choose palette and make pictures for the next instalments. (Also, use something neutral for blank spaces, like bright gray or checkerboard pattern). Still, really good and well designed game.

I like the number displays but I don't like the mechanic marking spots as blank -- requiring us to double click each blank spot (to produce the dot marking it as a blank space) before it will show the row/column as done is annoying. It is also tiring trying to mark large sections as empty.

This game is addicting! You a can't imagine how happy i was after finishing the first level... (I'm not good with games like these) 5/5.
And BTW, for the ones complaining about the lack of a "next" button: If you finish a level so fast, like in action game, you shouldn't be playing this. It takes about 10 minutes to finish a challenge to me, so 5 seconds to change levels is not much..
