Two stars for making me replay the entire last level twice in order to be level 6 -- the level you need to be to face the last boss.

Part two: More than one sword isn't needed especially if it does the same amount of damage as punching something. If you want to add something else, instead of slightly different swords maybe add a hammer, axe... etc. Enemies should also get more difficult as the player progresses, but didn't feel like it did. Likewise, weapons should do slightly more damage as you progress through them. The levels are made more tedious by having to revisit areas, and having no map doesn't help this any. It's easy to forget where things are and NOONE wants to revisit with these level designs. 2/5

All the way through the game to end up at the portal to last boss and only level 5 (it requires 6). For that alone, 1/5.

wow, lvl 4's boss... i can't avoid that metor bombardment, and he used that 7x in a row, so i died without even scratching him...

For those stuck on that door you need to be level 6 for. Jut pause, hit menu, start over. The game remembers your level and gear, so you get the xp on each level and can finish for your badge.

Needing certain levels to go through necessary portals without the possibility to level up enough or even kill yourself? worst game principle ever. Don't know what the kongregate people took when deciding this badge.

Stupid flash completely ignores the keyboard layout switch, and the stupid game doesn’t allow configuration of keys.

level restriction is terrible, first lvl5 gate encountered at lvl3, 2nd lvl5 at lvl4, had to trick jump over barrier to progress and lucky to get lvl5, then..... lvl6 gate with 364/1500 exp :/ fml... also range weapons completely useless

Gotta say, the rolling explosion ability you get is very useful against bosses. You can just roll your way to victory while taking little damage.

I find the second boss to be unfair because as soon as I respawn after dying I am in his line of fire when he breathes his flame/electricity at me. So not cool D: I dont even have time to get out of the way!

Sorry, to be honest i'm not a big fan of the game. Music isn't very appealing to me, maps get very repetitive after running back and forth, and for me (i have a bad sense of direction)- i can never remember where i discovered a gate or what not. Needs quite abit of refining if this was the final edition.

i hate ingame instructions and like instructions in place designed for them .Is it realy so dificult to write what keys are doing what ?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Controls are just awful. You need to be able to change direction on the fly WHILE attacking. Needs a run and slide button (like pressing and holding down to slide). Doing damage while attacking in the air would be nice. All in all a good game. Just definitely needs some tweaks.

Fun mechanics. Boring later levels. Stuck at last level because of worst stupidest boringest level cap system ever seen. What went wrong in the dev's head ? O_o Didn't finish the game because of that...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Very buggy game. More than once did I glitch through a gate by accident and have to go back to the menu from being stuck. Also the going back and forth in the game makes it more boring than entertaining. Also a level requirement to finish a level? Not a good trait to the game.

Lag blips are brutally punishing. This system has 4 GB RAM and a 1 GB video card and I still get them. If the game lag blips while you're holding down a key, the game continues thinking you're holding the key until you tap that key again... so your guy will keep attacking, or trying to run left, or hopping. This is a sophomore error in programming... while they can only do so much about lag with this medium, they forgot to make opposing keystrokes cancel the keystroke it opposes. 1/5 for poor play due to this oversight.

It's amazing how i'm going backwards in levels? How can I be level 5 and have the game finished? Obviously some major bugs.

I gave this one star, because I couldn't give it 0. Backtracking is not fun! Random level gates are not fun! Having backtracked around a level after I killed all the enemies, THEN finding there's a random level gate?! Who thought that was a good idea?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Horrible.
Pros:
Fun to beat people up
Cons:
-It's only fun to beat people up for the first 2 minutes
-Horrible music
-No map or anything basically leaving you to wander around blindly hoping to find the last key
-Extremely laggy
-Doors with level requirements forcing you to replay for XP, even though this doesn't take long.
-Doors with level requirements AT THE END OF A LEVEL, SERIOUSLY?

That's a good start to the second boss, getting blasted off the stage by an attack before I even get control of my character.

Apparently many years ago I gave this game 4 stars. Having it as a badge of the day was an excellent opportunity to drop that rating down to a more reasonable 2. Why would you gate you levels by experience when there's a finite amount of experience? Why would you make the laser gates able to be jumped over? How did you publish a game and make two sequels and not figure out how to make sure the player can't get trapped and need to start all over to play the game? And yes, this comment is overly harsh because I was hoping to sneak in to get the badge of the day before it rolled over and I failed, but I'm mostly blaming that on the awful level design.
