In my opinion quests become WAY TOO HARD way too fast. If the tech tree upgrades was permanent (like the one the opponent uses) it would be fairer. Plus if you agree!

Played this thinking it was pretty nice. Got to level 4. I have been working on the secondary quests. On level 4, set up everything nicely to get the secondary quest. After killing the archer towers, I sent about 10 troops to their castle to end the game and 10 to defend mine at the only point in which the enemies can attack my castle. Now right before my units did the last hit on the enemy castle, 1 enemy troop walked right pass all mine, who didn't even bother attacking said enemy, and went over and hit my castle 1 time, preventing me from getting the secondary quest. So ya, screw this game.

It really needs a "select all my troops" shortcut so you can easily add new recruits to your main force instead of having to cruise back through the map grabbing them as they path to the rally point. It would also be really nice to be able to select a unit type so, for example, you can fall back and then hit one button to select all of your soldiers and send them back to the front of the pack so they can spearhead the next attack.

As for the second problem (selecting only some units) this might help: you can double-click on a unit and it will select all units of the same type (for example, all soldiers) currently on screen.

Winning the quests aren't the hard part, the difficult part is winning the secondary quests in order to get the permanent bonuses. The time limits are especially difficult when combined with the destroy all enemy buildings. For example, I've already bypassed Quest #11, but yet I still can't get the secondary quest under Quest #5.
So a couple of modifications could make it a little easier overall, Poseidon's comment for example. Add tech tree bonuses automatically for harder Quests. Increases in starting money or money over time, and decreases in unit cost are also helpful. Basically, the main issue is lack of money is keeping me from getting the secondary quests. Boost those and I would give this a 5/5. However, at this time, I'll give it a 4.

There's something really buggy about this game. It's frozen up on me twice, and one time it started a level with a blank map and unit costs of -7.5 and NaN. Other than that, it seems pretty good so far.

the tech tree needs hotkeys, seriously.
the towers need to be sellable so you can't screw yourself over by building a bunch of them and running up your capacity

Very fun game. It might not be the most original, the game and controls are very smooth. The only thing I'm really missing is some little arrows or bars on the sides so you can move your map without having to use the arrow keys. You can use the minimap if you want to play mouse-only, but some small sidebars would be much appreciated.
Game's on the waitinglist for badges I hope! 5/5

When I said I couldn't use the quick num-groups, I lied. It's more along the line that they're annoying to create: When I do Ctrl + Num to create the group, I have to wait untilo the number appears. But here's the thing, a lot of the times, the numbers don't show up, so the group isn't created. :c
Mmm.. this IS very weird. Flash did gave us some problems detecting CTRL and other keys at the same time. Try this sequence to see if this helps: PRESS CTRL, PRESS NUMBER, RELEASE NUMBER, RELEASE CTRL.

Great but short-lived. The towers are unfortunately OP, that's how I did the last few levels, the other units weren't really needed. Still 5/5 though.

Nice game,Got annoyed at a time for secondary objective when your base is not supposed to be hit and one ennemy ran through my whole line of defense just to land one hit on my castle.

Like the game alot, would help alot if you change the point where troops go after they exit the castle that they exit from that side rather than at the front every time.

You have to play each map multiple times to stand a chance. For example the enemy could come from left or right, you have a 50% chance to guess right. Yet, if you guess wrong, your castle will take so much damage that it is almost guaranteed loss. Meanwhile it is next to impossible to rush since the enemy has defensive bunkers.

This game causes Flash to leak memory like anything under Firefox 5. Plugincontainer.exe starts off using 62MB, then 245MB after one game and eventually nearly a gig with accompanying slowdown!

It seems like a fairly decent browser RTS, however there's two things that are bother the HELL out of me. 1) I'm a Starcraft player, so my APM is up there. But I can't micromanage my units very easily when I try to click on a single one, and it doesn't deselect the entire group and select that one. I end up moving my entire selected army around and they just get potshotted. 2) You have to increase acquisition range. I find it a complete bitch to have the orcs attack my units and not my base even though my unit is pretty damn close to it. I find myself making it a chore to have them not attack my base to get the perma upgrades, as opposed to just playing the game.

I couldn't beat quest 13... hard and my laptop lagged to the point of being unplayabe. Took a different strategy. Built towers only. three in a row maxed out. beat wave... built a tower a square further out, destroyed old three, built two more by new one. Rinse lather and repeat until i got to enemy castle. Painstaking, but effective.
