I justed aced level 4 after countless. The suicide ] method didn't work for me since I can't release the ball out of the gaming area. So I decided to try aiming at the left torch after reading a comment of someone that acing the level is possible without the 'suicide method'. It just would take "a thousand tries". After maybe 2 hours of trying in all kinds of setups I almost gave up took a break and then nailed it. With pure luck the fireball lit the left torch shot over to the right underneath toad, bounced up just high enough to light up the right torch.

To anyone with problem on firefox (I had it too): you need to open a private window and then the game works (sorry for bad English but I hope it helps, it worked for me)

On level 6 my fireball goes through the torch, but it doesn't light. Tried and retried about 50-60 times. WHY WON'T YOU LIGHT!??

I played 9 levels. Lighting the torch is extremely inconsistent. One time I barely touched the pole, gave me credit. Three times the fireball was 1/2 inside the flame area, didn't give me credit. Seems much more predicated on luck than skill. 2/5

Level 4 and 10 follows the same "logic." There's a spot where your fireball will reflect much higher than usual when hitting it. Usually at the edge of a pillar. Now that's just cheap.

Any reason why you didn't allow R to restart a level after the level is failed? It works during a level, so I can't imagine why it wouldn't work afterwards.

The impossible badge really is IMPOSSIBLE if your computer runs fast and oddly INCREASES your times... Got all 44 aces though.

Wow, last time I played this game was May 30, 2012 when I got the Easy and Hard badges. The Impossible badge is still rightly given the rank of impossible...

I can't figure out which part of the torch is the part that catches fire. So many times the fireball just goes straight through and no fire, other times the fireball is like 10 pixels away and the torch catches. Bugged?

I can't even bring myself to get the easy batch. The randomness, the repetitive ambient sound, the fidgeting... I'll take my losses.

F-. This game is too inconsistent. I can aim the fireball at exactly the same spot and with exactly the same amount of force as a previous shot and end up with a different result. I hate games like this.

Just got the impossible badge!
Here are a few pointers:
1) Although you need to ace the bonus levels, they are not included when the total time is calculated.
2) You can get really fast times on levels with a lot of wood burning if you get your game to REALLY lag. To get the game to lag open up youtube videos in a few browser tabs. Preferably long videos, so you don't need to go back and restart them. This will make the fireball move really choppy and time is only recorded when the ball moves. ...the wood however will continue to burn through even when the ball is still. ex: lvl25 - 4:990, lvl40 - 3:424

Can somebody... I do not care who... PLEASE make a fire-themed game that's NOT this one so that I don't have so play these annoying pixel-hunts with physics so bizarre that you would be lucky to beat half the levels in the series (let alone Ace them as you are ALWAYS commanded to do) WITH A WALKTHROUGH OPEN IN THE NEXT WINDOW, every time Kongregate wants to do some sort of elemental-themed challenge?
I'm not the only one that would appreciate this. Make it happen.

One of the most boring "pick the exact one right pixel and then even get lucky" games ever created. Thankfully, the quest badge is easy enough that the utter waste of time playing this is limited.

If you're just here for the easy badge, the best ones to get Aces on are 2, 3, 5, 7, 9. I'm not saying the others aren't possible, but those ones are the easiest to Ace first time.

how many aces make a new level? I have 20 aces on normal levels and one ace each on levels A, B, C. But Level D is not yet showing. What do I need to achieve to unlock Level D?

Hitbox detection is God awful. Going through every torch with one fireball and one of them won't light... On the first level.

The tag puzzle just doesn't fit on this game. This isn't about problem solving. This is literally just trying pixels on the screen until you find the series of random bounces that leads to the right result. There's no puzzle.
