Once upon a time there was a princess and 2 poor brothers. One brother knew the other brother wanted the princess as his bride, so the jealous brother became evil. Luckily the princess knew some chivalry and stabbed the evil brother. The good brother and the princess lived happily ever after. Oh yeah, and the evil brother died and the happy couple made-out on top of the evil brother's grave.

Whenever I create the "two heroes vs. one villain" scenario, apparently I can't can't have one hero die to help the other defeat the villain, just as I would in a "one hero vs. two villains" scenario (one villain dies while the other lives long enough to defeat the hero).
The reason I say this is because in war, sometimes one hero has to die buying enough time to help the other defeat the bad-guys. It's tragic, sure, but at the very least it's also bittersweet and at-times inspirational.
Is there any way this problem can still be rectified?

Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl. She lived in a huge castle, but she banished her brother to a small shack with another guy in it because she wanted to be an only child. When they grew up, the boys were locked in a cage by an unknown evil sorcerer. However, the girl became a knight and freed them. For some reason, the girl & brother were sad but the other guy loved the girl. THE END.

There once were 2 kids from a royal family. Every day they went to the village to harass a poor kid living in a cave. When they became adults, the poor kid, who was a sorcerer, kidnapped one of the royalties, who was one of the rich kids. But the other sibling was a knight. So they knight stabbed the sorcerer, but the sorcerer kept falling off the blade. So the knight held on the sorcerer, but the sorcerer had his last words, which made the knight fly into the cage with his sibling. And to this day, every month, you can hear the sharpening of a knife, the soft whispers of agony from the sorcerer, then a scream of his victim. The kingdom fell into darkness, and an evil magical king came, but then the sorcerers ghost killed him! The end.

It's said that the poor girl haunts that very castle & if you listen very closely, you can hear her cry...

A brown haired boy stood on some sort of giant ruler sticking out of the grass, with "Kenny" from south park sticking out of the ruler, his hood on fire. A psychotic arrow, facing upwards but tilted slightly to the left picked up the brown haired kid and put him on the grass. Somewhere in the underworld, a castle was built on top of what was previously a black tower.
