- Not bad, in fact. If there's more platforms(trap platforms, springboards...), a jump button and a little bit of beauty, it would be ok. The history is fine(if it is a history, or just a excuse to say you are bad). 3/5.

- Well, it's playable. That's about all I can say though. I don't mind simple graphics but it needs more than... lines. The basic premise isn't a bad one, either, it just needs way more.
A jump, like others have said. Maybe some additional enemies. Powerups. Music. Sounds.

- It's not bad very simple, but it keeps from overdoing as well.
i agree a jump would be nice.
I really don't understand why my score goes down while i'm on a platform, if i'm in the bottom 1/3 of the screen that probably shouldn't happen because I can't go anywhere even if i wanted to. 3/5

- Johnathan, he said specifically that this was his first attempt, ever, and wanted constructive criticism. And, to paraphrase your comment, just because you can make an ignorant comment doesn't mean you should.
Deke, here are a few suggestions:
Get some decent art, to improve initial reaction to the game.
Give a 3 second countdown before the game actually starts, to give a new player the chance to get ready.
Add the ability to jump.
Make the collision detection a bit tighter (occasionally I would barely miss a platform, only to be saved and 'twitched back onto the platform I was aiming at)
Consider adding stages instead of making it one long excursion (i.e., different sections of the cave.
Add powerups. Gamers love powerups. Whether it's to slow down the descent rate or to make the platforms wider, it adds an intriguing element to the game and can make it stand apart from other similar games.
I hope that helps. Good luck. 2/5 for now because it's very basic.
