The player population was actually significantly more balanced before this past week or two. A large number of players came in from an unknown source and heavily skewed the playerbase to the left. I've noticed that most places players come in from offsite seem to have a left lean, while kongregate itself seems much more neutral. A lot of the people who play actually don't give a crap about politics.

Ok? That has nothing to do with the numbers on the clock. I can, however, tell you that players have absolutely no idea how overdoses work and a lot of mythology about them is circulated by people who try to game the system. There are purposefully a number of random elements in the system to stop people from working it out.

You know what would be awesome. If for an election for a VIP position (Like speaker of the house) there would be a section sort of like the chat menu, except only the 2 people with the most votes could talk on it. The amount of chat they could put out would be limited but everyone can see it. This way people could figure out what the election hopefuls would do in that position (At least, what they SAY they would do)

Do you mean the imaginary reality of Clout: The Game? Because I think you can see from the world page that it does, in fact, have other countries in it. Wait, How do we have a better relation with a cardboard cutout of kim Il-Sung then we do with Russia, Mexico and Venezuela, VENEZUELA! What did we do to anger Venezuela more then North Korea! Did we starve half our population for fun!?! However being best buds with central africa is perfectly logical.
We conquered North Korea months ago and installed a puppet dictator (quite literally in this case). Tends to improve relations. Well, with the government anyway.

Raluyen, calling Delos a retard is not helping; he is just concerned because some buttheads hacked the game and a few players have tried to exploit him. I might do the same thing; our (the players) concern is that legitimate problems might be overlooked. That said, his concerns are legitimate as there are legitimate exploiters and hackers, so he is not a "retard", just a little paranoid.

Also, just wondering, have you ever thought of implementing, well... legal ways to deal with energy and stress? I mean, did any of these politicians ever think of maybe buying a simple coffee, taking a vacation, reading a book, etc. etc. etc.? I know that it might not fit with the satire theme, but still... Perhaps legal methods would be less effective, or have less of an effect over a longer period of time, or... Well, you get the point, I hope. Just a thought! Who knows, mebbe I'm just thinking about it too much, hehe. :B
The problem is that such things would either need to be exceptionally weak bordering on useless, or nobody would ever use the scandalous things. Cigars and booze are realistically pretty close to scandal free. The hits are quite minor, and many people use them to block for other scandals.

Q, would it be possible to add a character limit to the the party chats so that you can't input more than will show up once your message is posted? I can be very verbose sometimes and it's annoying getting cut off.
Well, money disappears from my bank account, the accounting for all my accounts is completely screwed up from years back, and I apparently have a bank account with US Bank that I never knew existed. So even if you somehow manage to convince yourself that everything else I've ever said is a delusion: I think you're going to have a hard time explaining those things away.

Alternatively, another idea could be Abortion. Starts enabled and legal, and gives a slight health boost in turn for a pop growth penalty. Making it illegal would do the opposite.
Conservatives and Socialists would want abortion illegalized (Because seeing the Cons and Socialists work together is always ironically hilarious, plus I could see a justification in how Socialists would want as much poor workers as possible so they support them. A pragmatic reason, basically). Liberals, Libertarians, and Greens would want to keep it legal (Self-explanatory for the first two, and the Greens just like killing people in Clout anyways so what's a few fetuses going to matter for them?)
The problem with a bill to ban this is that for one, it's codified in a supreme court decision. You can't really legislate those away (the ability to do so would basically defeat the purpose of the judiciary). For another, it's a very hot-button topic for many, and has inexorable ties to religion. As I've purposefully divorced the Conservative party in-game from religion, they would be unlikely to support it. That would potentially leave the socialists, but there are just as many instances of extreme population control in the other direction in highly socialized nations. So it's something I couldn't really ascribe to any party very well.

no other solutions really made sense. It also allows me to do some more interesting things with some aspects of The Lobby that I was a bit worried about. The Lobby and Clout use the same items/stats across both games, in case you didn't know already.
