+ - !

Developer response from delosford

You're presently denying the existence of an organization that's tried to ruin my life and very likely poisoned my grandfather to death. That's why you got banned. I'm not a scammer, and you never spent much on this game. You've gotten more than your money's worth, and it certainly doesn't entitle you to try and slander me, the game and work with people to try and damage it.

Can you come up with another explanation as to why a good number of people who don't actually play the game suddenly came back just to vote in a win bill committee? Like usual, your conspiracy theories have no merit or basis in reality, and the complaints boil down to "waaaah he's not letting cheating benefit me! Waaaahhhhh"

Under rating threshold (show) Had the game set up as 5/5 on my Favorites list for the longest time. Not anymore. 1/5 seems a better fit. The game? It's pretty sweet for a text based game. You get to play as a corrupt congressman in charge of leading the Not-So-United States. There's a lot of satire and jokes, and a lot of the players are pretty awesome. unfortunately... The developer of this game is off his rocker, to put it nicely. You see, he thinks that there's these "stalkers" from a Scientology cult are out to get him and his game, and it's fueled his paraonoia-driven acts to verbally abusing and yelling at the playerbase, insulting them and threatening bans to them if they disagree with the whole "Stalker" thing. As you may have guessed, I was one of those players who didn't believe him. Last thing I know, I was banned with the dev claiming I'm one of these Scientology stalkers. Game's fine. The dev's gross delusions ruin it. 1/5 unfavorited.

+ - !

(73)

Developer response from delosford

No, actually I've been working with The FBI, DHS and various other governmental organizations for the better part of this year in order to track down the criminal organizations responsible for what's been going on in my life. Not only do none of them think I'm crazy, but there's also the server shutdowns, strange problems obviously caused by tampering with the server, and people making references to my personal life in-game. However, the stalkers will deny all of that and call me crazy no matter how obviously true it is. Looks like I banned correctly. :)

Under rating threshold (show) 1/5. It's an okay game, but the developer just verbally harasses his playerbase, bans them, and doesn't give good reasoning for his actions. It's just an overall unhappy arua and time could be spent better. Dev banned someone for having a common name (not in game name, but his legitimate real name that he used for the game) and dev put a conspiracy behind it that said person was slandering dev- banned. Do not recommend imo

+ - !

(44)

Developer response from delosford

No, I banned someone for making references to my personal life in-game which proved they were working with the organizations stalking me. On top of that: they broke the rule of denying the existence of the people stalking me. The end.

Under rating threshold (show) And considering how long some features have taken to be implemented (which itself is completely understandable due to your busy schedule) introducing an item that can't be removed until another update is added is a bad idea. I'm against these gimmicks, but if we are to have them they should be fully implemented rather than be incomplete and lead to items you can't remove without warning.

Under rating threshold (show) I rate the game 1/5. Gameplay quality is good, satire is high, but the developer is a nutjob who bans any players who don't agree with his Nazi ideals. He will steal your money and then ban you. Do not play unless you want some nutjob who thinks some stalkers are trying to fill up planes with plants so that he can't have a seat.

Right, because Clout is clearly devoid of such things. Like Relics. Also, how did you manage to read the forums and still not understand the mechanic at all? It's not a "gimmick" it's "excellent game design", and frankly I don't actually care whether or not you agree.

Under rating threshold (show) Perhaps instead of muting someone who did one thing, which was change the color of chats using HTML, which was harmless, you could ban the asshole (12q12q9) who constantly messes with your games. He's made you lose money by exploiting the dropboxes for only 1 kred, he's exploited the money, encouraged other to do it, and he's repeatedly messed with the game (putting the socialist "I AM GOD" on the libercon team). So rather than mute the guy who did something that was essentially harmless, you could just ban the asshole who f**ks with your game to get off.

Under rating threshold (show) I assumed the game wouldn't do something as dumb as to have something that can't be removed, and suggesting that not having combed over every forum post justifies an item that can't be removed is an asinine defense.

+ - !

(50)

Developer response from delosford

So you really need to read the forums, because it's part of a larger game mechanic playing between Clout and The Lobby, including followers of the Dark Gods and The Illuminati/Knights Templar. You can't just take it off, but that doesn't mean you're stuck with it permanently (though, temporarily you actually are because I haven't added a way for people to become Illuminati/Templar yet in the world, but the code supports it).

Under rating threshold (show) No. I'm basing it on the low amount of kongregate players. At most, you have around 20 people in the chatrooms at a time. You alienated Kongregate. Congrats. In addition to that, you managed to start a freaking civil war over this game. I'd recommend cutting your losses now by ceasing irrelevant discussion regarding the stalkers. Even if you're telling the truth, it's brought no good by discussing it here.

+ - !

(7)

Developer response from delosford

Well, it's certainly encouraging that the only way you can try to pretend the game is dying is by the count of players in Kongregate chat. Which means next to nothing, especially on a multi-platform game. Which I explained before and you conveniently ignored. Just like I said: common stalker tactic. Just keep repeating the same questions and acting like I didn't already answer them 10 times. The game still has more players than it ever had before the last advertising push, and the game ran just fine on less than 200 weekly actives for years. It also usually has more people in Kong chat than it ever did before. Oh, you mean it has less than when we were getting a flood of new players? Well uh, yeah, obviously?

+ - !

(28)

Developer response from delosford

Well, explain who took two poisoned walnuts out of an aspirin container on my desk at work. If you can do that, then you get to express the opinion that the people stalking me may not be real. Otherwise, you get banned for doing so because it's slanderous and frankly pretty fucking rude to do so.

Harass players? You come and leave slanderous comments on the game and I refute them. That's about as laughable as your claim that I've stolen from you. Under rating threshold (show) I will say this. The reason why people don't believe you, despite your paragraphs and walls of texts saying that you're in the right here, is because you have delivered no form of documentation or solid references to back you up. Whether you see it as such or not, without that kind of evidence on your end, what you're saying does indeed look like crazed rambling from someone who has been off their medication for a long time. Other players have mentioned that you have released videos and photos, but the majority of us have never seen them. When we ask those who *have,* they state that they can't remember where this media was hosted. No matter what I search, I don't get anything beyond a Kong thread in '12 with you yelling at other users and your Facebook profile taunting the people you claim to be after your life. All of that is, from an outside perspective, baseless claims. If you can give thorough documentation, I'm sure very many of us will change our tune regarding this matter. (P2)
