Under rating threshold (show) God, what happened to this game? It use to be so simple: filibuster a bill here, assassinate an opponent there. But now everything has gone to hell. Now it is "stalkers" and "hacking." i am starting to wonder if any of these stalkers are actually real.

Developer response from delosford

Well, explain who took two poisoned walnuts out of an aspirin container on my desk at work. If you can do that, then you get to express the opinion that the people stalking me may not be real. Otherwise, you get banned for doing so because it's slanderous and frankly pretty fucking rude to do so.

Under rating threshold (show) Had the game set up as 5/5 on my Favorites list for the longest time. Not anymore. 1/5 seems a better fit. The game? It's pretty sweet for a text based game. You get to play as a corrupt congressman in charge of leading the Not-So-United States. There's a lot of satire and jokes, and a lot of the players are pretty awesome. unfortunately... The developer of this game is off his rocker, to put it nicely. You see, he thinks that there's these "stalkers" from a Scientology cult are out to get him and his game, and it's fueled his paraonoia-driven acts to verbally abusing and yelling at the playerbase, insulting them and threatening bans to them if they disagree with the whole "Stalker" thing. As you may have guessed, I was one of those players who didn't believe him. Last thing I know, I was banned with the dev claiming I'm one of these Scientology stalkers. Game's fine. The dev's gross delusions ruin it. 1/5 unfavorited.

+ - !

(34)

Developer response from delosford

No, actually I've been working with The FBI, DHS and various other governmental organizations for the better part of this year in order to track down the criminal organizations responsible for what's been going on in my life. Not only do none of them think I'm crazy, but there's also the server shutdowns, strange problems obviously caused by tampering with the server, and people making references to my personal life in-game. However, the stalkers will deny all of that and call me crazy no matter how obviously true it is. Looks like I banned correctly. :)

Can you come up with another explanation as to why a good number of people who don't actually play the game suddenly came back just to vote in a win bill committee? Under rating threshold (show) Perhaps instead of muting someone who did one thing, which was change the color of chats using HTML, which was harmless, you could ban the asshole (12q12q9) who constantly messes with your games. He's made you lose money by exploiting the dropboxes for only 1 kred, he's exploited the money, encouraged other to do it, and he's repeatedly messed with the game (putting the socialist "I AM GOD" on the libercon team). So rather than mute the guy who did something that was essentially harmless, you could just ban the asshole who f**ks with your game to get off.

Under rating threshold (show) I rate the game 1/5. Gameplay quality is good, satire is high, but the developer is a nutjob who bans any players who don't agree with his Nazi ideals. He will steal your money and then ban you. Do not play unless you want some nutjob who thinks some stalkers are trying to fill up planes with plants so that he can't have a seat.

Under rating threshold (show) Ah, so that's why you keep accusing people of lying. It's because you were the biggest one of them all, and keep projecting your m.o. onto everyone who even remotely disagrees with you. Understandable when you don't want to face the truth. You'd even go so far as to prevent people from speaking out in posts, like you edited the code to prevent people from posting '...' In global before. (And 'nope' is not a proper rebuttal to your flawed logic earlier, by the way. You cannot both claim that screenshot is damming then turn around and say it's the wrong one.)

+ - !

(9)

Developer response from delosford

I muted someone for breaking the rules in chat. They were later unmuted. Everything else you posted is a comical lie and an attempt to accuse me of what you're guilty of. Common stalker tactic. You can find it in a lot of posts from suspicious people arguing with me across the internet over the last couple years. It became super obvious at first on Reddit.

Under rating threshold (show) and if you were referring to the comment that i made that you were pointing fingers at the playerbase and thinking they're stalkers... well, of course i'm going to quibble about that because there's no solid evidence for or against; you implied i was working with them by the timing of your post, i was offended by the implication, and had to defend myself. (and if you count denial as evidence i'm working with them...neither a true stalker nor a suspected stalker would admit to it, innocent or otherwise.)

Under rating threshold (show) 1/5. It's an okay game, but the developer just verbally harasses his playerbase, bans them, and doesn't give good reasoning for his actions. It's just an overall unhappy arua and time could be spent better. Dev banned someone for having a common name (not in game name, but his legitimate real name that he used for the game) and dev put a conspiracy behind it that said person was slandering dev- banned. Do not recommend imo

+ - !

(25)

Developer response from delosford

No, I banned someone for making references to my personal life in-game which proved they were working with the organizations stalking me. On top of that: they broke the rule of denying the existence of the people stalking me. The end.

Under rating threshold (show) And considering how long some features have taken to be implemented (which itself is completely understandable due to your busy schedule) introducing an item that can't be removed until another update is added is a bad idea. I'm against these gimmicks, but if we are to have them they should be fully implemented rather than be incomplete and lead to items you can't remove without warning.

It involves scandals, drama, petty arguing, slander, money, stalkers, hackers, FBI, Scientology, razors, ninjas, fords, death rays, and squirrels. But it isnt Clout. Clout is merely a game within that game. The real game is unfolding right in front of you, the game of internet players, the game of comments section that has an eccentric developer that replies to almost everything, and you are there to see it all. This is the game of the internet. Welcome to the Cloutiverse!

(7)

Developer response from delosford

No, they pointedly called me crazy/delusional and tried to deny all the facts that I posted which obviously pointed to dancraiground3 being a stalker (some of which was posted by other players prior to all that in The Devil's Inn). Again: there is no widespread disagreement about the bannings. It's just a couple people working with the stalkers trying to make it look like there's a controversy when there isn't.

Under rating threshold (show) d) I'm done trying to be polite and civil with you when you're just going to reject all evidence that doesn't agree with your worldview. You've twisted words to suit your own meanings, seen connections where there were none, and contradicted yourself on multiple occasions. (and please. point me to this nebulous 'everyone' that sees the screenshot as 'damning evidence', because i haven't heard a peep from them at all. There was literally two lines of information on it that explained the reasoning behind my infodrop. circumstantial, contextless, and would not fly in court.) I'm done. Inb4 more accusations of walls of text and lying.

+ - !

(7)

Developer response from delosford

You know, it's really ironic that you're claiming I'm rejecting evidence. Which is what you're doing. Stalkers always try to project their own failings onto others when trying their stupid attempts to convince people of lies. Is it because you realize my strategy of using facts is better than your strategy of lying repeatedly? We have a screenshot of you doing exactly what I said would get you banned. The end.

+ - !

(13)

Developer response from delosford

I already did point you to the relevant evidence. You said it didn't prove anything. Which you will continue to do every time I point you to any evidence, no matter how obviously damning. Which means you're a stalker. Which is why you're banned. Going pretty much full circle here.

So you really need to read the forums, because it's part of a larger game mechanic playing between Clout and The Lobby, including followers of the Dark Gods and The Illuminati/Knights Templar. You can't just take it off, but that doesn't mean you're stuck with it permanently (though, temporarily you actually are because I haven't added a way for people to become Illuminati/Templar yet in the world, but the code supports it).

Under rating threshold (show) Hi Q. This is Somnus, aka Seras Victoria. I just wanted to say that while I'm feeling a little betrayed by your decision to ban me, I accept your decision and hope it gives you some peace of mind. To clear a few things up: I've never denied or affirmed the existence of stalkers when asking for elaboration on your collection of evidence, merely provided alternative explanations. Apparently that counts as denying your claims now? It was past time I left, I guess. Not sticking around after you've slandered your playerbase, banned people left and right unjustly, and been a general arse to those who would be your fans. I just wanted to say that I hope the real stalkers lay off, and any of their lingering traces of influence in the code get patched, and that your server security gets to the point where no one can mess with the code, whether through stalkers or the chrome console. Stay sane, stay safe.
