Quick walkthrough for the challenge: First, create the character (doesn't matter which one), then, at the main screen, accept the 'gift pack' (this will help you later on). Then, click 'hunt' and then 'auto attack' every single time. Click 'heal' when your health gets low, buy a sword and leather jacket at the merchant at level 2, and when your bloodlust runs out use the bloodlust potion at your inventory (which you got by accepting the gift box). 1/5 for the game, let's just get our loot challenge ticket and leave ^^

The size limit for games on Kongregate is 800x600. My monitor is 1280x1024 and this game does not fit on it. Also this game is utter utter crap. Did the developer PAY Kong to put their game here, or something? It's shameful.

It is meant to be slow going at the start. As you progress, your hunting becomes more efficient, and your gear accumulates giving you setup selection headaches (just because an item is lvl 50 doesnt mean its definitely inferior to a lvl 100 equip). Back to energy, a non donor can achieve 6 BL per hunt (or pvb/pvp combat) and 3 bloodlust regen every 2 mins (or 1 min 45 if he takes the pve talent for regen), giving him 1 action every 4 mins (or 3 min 30s with talent). Don't think thats very slow...

I just started playing this game and really starting to love it. This is not one of those simple text browser games but there is a lot of resources like the wiki and the Diviad forum to get you going in the right direction. This game will provide you with heaps of fun as long as you don't mind putting a bit of work on the research side.

No the artwork was drawn for Nightbanes and CoB at the same time - same developers, Nightbanes didn't last, CoB is still alive and kicking :)

About the shoes...have you even participated in Coven Boss Fights? That's usually were you will find things like werewolf boots.

so Let me get this straight this game is about clicking a button so i can click another button several times so that i can click the First button again....

I notice the same pattern. Kong gives these games a challenge or badges, the masses being to play it, and the rating drops like a rock. For good reason mind you... I just wonder why Kong bothers.

you cannot reset your account. but there is no reason to have to reset because nothing you do at the beginning is really permanent and things will change as you progress. so any "mistakes" you feel you have made won't matter as you move in the direction you would prefer to go.

Only playing this for the ticket, and i must say,. that's really the only reason I would play this game ever,. it's horrible.

@shadowslayer52 there are items that reduce bloodlust cooldowns (e.g. blood surgeon pet), and items that add more bloodlust such as various coffins and armours. Also it only would take 5 hours for 300 bloodlust and 3 bloodlust every 3 minutes(though it is under 3 minutes per 3 i lengthened it for a more accurate number). As you get further in the game, which takes along time, you will not have to wait as long and you will become a more efficient vampire :) . have fun!

Dreadmane is semi rare. Easy to kill if you use your special power, which you can find it at the end of the row of buttons your attack button is in. Special power can only be used every 30 minutes, so do the challenge in steps.

Even though I know this will go unheeded: for the love of all that is holy (or unholy), please, do not give this real badges. This game involves zero skill, the interface is atrocious (it's more than double the height of my 1080p screen), and once again, energy systems are a pox upon gaming.

I honestly don't see why people are having such a hard time with this game?... I've won about 80% of my battles, by looking at what damage is done respectively and by only using blood shield/servant when needed....

On my 4th hunt, I encountered a Hell knight (Lvl 5) Rarity: Scarce. Maybe it was the curse that Skeleton bestowed on me just before?

This game... Why? Why put the challenge here? Why not on a better game?
I love Dead Space, but I wouldn't play THIS for even a good game like that.

Maybe the phrasing "Apparently this creature was too strong for you..." is NOT really the best to use after the creature gains Escape in the first round and just bounces out of there. >.>

I happen to like this sort of game, the kind that has some depth and several different mechanics in place, and makes you try and resarch. I guess to each it's own.

you could at least put a "buy credits" button at naming your character so i don't have to get to the third step before I know this is pay to win trash

@gnostic85: actually, the newly introduced avatars improve the PvP situation a little bit. One can get these avatars via donation only. When you start a new game, you have the same choice as before. The new avatars, wich you have to donate for, are special, though. You can buy the donation avatars you want and change your avatar to one of them (or to your normal one) every 48 hours. So, if you are annoyed by the new avatar-war enemys on monday, you can simply change to an donation avatar youve bought where the enemys are more common.

Last week I had several hundred Blood Rubies. Their drop rate is now practically non-existent. Even after disenchanting items, I have none now. I had to buy Blood Pearls for the first time in forever...
And its not like the drop rates for major items is there either. You might want to look into the drop rate numbers.

This has to be the worst game I've ever played on Kongregate. The combat is atrocious, the game barely tells you how to play. It's been about a half an hour and I still have not the vaguest idea of what my skills do. Even when you do get the hang of it, every aspect of it is infuriating. All of the items in shops are absurdly priced, or require some kind of "Special" currency. The scarce voice acting and quotes are lazy and unoriginal, stolen from movies, books, and even Chuck Norris. In a vampire game. And the cooldowns for skills, health and bloodlust? Absurd. a 30 minute cooldown for a healing spell? that you can use once in one fight? I'm sorry, but I can't find anything positive about this game besides I get a chance to win a PS3 and Deadspace 3 for my suffering.

I'd like the "Help" question mark button NOT to hover above my close "x" button. Can't count how many times I've pressed that "Help when I don't need one.

@Herosoyyo: Yep. Ah, VV... Velvet Velour. But anyway, almost anything with vampires these days rips off something from VtM. VtM is the grandfather of everything (good) about vampires, IMO. You've got Underworld, Trueblood and Twilight all with vampires and werewolves and the same hierarchical setup present in Vampire: the Masquerade. They can never really come up with anything original.

I think a large part of the problem is that unlike a lot of games made for Facebook, this one doesn't make the first couple of levels easy, fun, and interesting. Essentially everything can kill you, and you have no way to influence that significantly, unless you fight, use your vampire power, go do something else for 30 minutes, repeat.

I gave it a chance and I like it. Art is good, combat math is acceptable, PvP, PvB, PvE provides enough variability in strategy to hold my interest. Well done for what it is.

wow the audio on this game. "Are you my precious?" by that ghoul sounds like a preschool child doing his scary voice Golum impression. this is horrible.
