I remember playing this around when it first trended on Kongregate in 2010. I'll be honest, back then they used to give you a limited number of 'moves' per day, and made you pay through the nose for more. Everyone hated it, everyone hated the game; now that I'm taking another look, I'm genuinely impressed that Edgebee actually removed that function - though some of the game structure still echoes the now-removed game feature (long, winding corridors, making you retrace your own steps for hidden loot, etc.). It's like seeing a scar from a tumour surgery: It's a little unsightly, but ultimately a testament to a better resolution. I only wish it were like that when the game had first made its debut...

I think it is a little odd how some treasure requires tokens to pick up. To equip I can understand maybe, but picking it up I dunno...

Sorcery Quest 2 would be a fantastic concept and I'd definitely play it. I would play it for a long time if it weren't half as grindy as this one. I understand the whole deal of making the game last a while, but there's better ways of doing it than making it take forever to get gold just to buy the gear you need to kill the monsters in the area that you need for experience so you can level. The whole thing was very grindy, and didn't get better as the prevalence of gold thief monsters came up around Paladia.
Next game: faster gold accumulation, exp accumulation is fine in this one, and less emphasis on tokens. Having a premium shop is fine, but looting monsters is a staple of RPG games - if you can't loot, you can't have maximum enjoyment and your player base isn't going to be as large as it could be. Use premium keys for optional upgraded loot and you've got a winner of an idea.

Edgebee should add Shared Money between chars.If you have 5 chars on your team and each of them has 5000 gold and something costs 25000 and you can not buy it cause your char has 5000 not including the rest of your gold!

I agree with most. Its annoying to wiat for stuff like this. And really, make it like most other games. Free to play. but if u pay, u get somewhere faster. Its very annoying to have to be all like.. "Epic staff!" wait.. cant get it cause... its blocked by a force field as we dont have tokens to pay for it. Ruins all your Great games. and just makes us turn away from it. We know you would like to be paid for your work, but we wont feel inclined to pay for something like this, if we are forced just to get somewhere. STOP it. MMORPG's dont succed because they are Pay to play [World of Warcraft is loseing that title fast.] They offer their game free, but allow ppl to pay to get a few Boosts and tid bit BETTER items. but still allow ppl to fairly have a chance at stuff. Fix Your games. And Then watch your rateings rise and ur money come in. + to let ppl see :D

i agree with u david. but maybe for the bank to have it kinda like bo2 zombies where u put it in but then have to take a % away from whatever u withdraw? maybe u can do something like that edgebee.

This game was really great, and fun, its too bad that Edgebee abandoned it without even trying! :( Should have ATLEAST given the game etc to someone that would have continued with it, rather than just let it waste to nothing

The theifs steal skill should increase how much money is stolen per level because shadows does almost the exact same thing as steal it just doesn't have daze

I would be more than happy to invest in this game if the conversion rate from Kreds to Tokens was WAY better...$20 for 240 tokens is INSANE...I'd rather buy a full game....put it down to $5 for that many and I would definitely indulge! :D

The game is great but one thing isn't i believe it's just a bit too dependant on tokens but other than that it's a good game.

my character gets 1.5m experience, he does not get level up even though he needs only 983.4k experience. it's really a problem but never be fixed.

Wish the daily reward had a stardard reset timer. Making it 24 hours after it was last taken insures it will be pushed back each time it's obtained, which is annoying as hell. Just reset at midnight or something.

Idea: Maybe instead of paying 500 tokens for the ninja, war wizard,and crap, maybe you should lower the price to 350 tokens. I understand the idea that if it's 500 tokens, people can't just buy it over and over and over again. Another one is by far one of the most hated ones. JUST BECAUSE IT IS A GOOD ITEM DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO BE A JERK AND MAKE THME PAY 125, 800, 50, etc. TOKENS. THEY DEFEATED A HARD MONSTER, SO THEY DESERVED IT, i got an item for defeating an enemy with 3.5K Health. it was really good but since i was broke on tokens, I guess the hard work went to waste. Glad I got that cleared up.

It would be cool if this game (and others like it) had a manual of some sort, something that explains the rules in detail, to save people the time of going to wikis. I love games with complexity, which is why I want to learn about it.

I love this game but wouldn't it be cool to have a system that you could give gold to your party members? Like if you had a wizard that had like 1k gold and a thief that has 3.3k gold and you could give that 1k gold to the thief to buy some higher level items?

It's kind of sad to see all of edgebee's games being pulled from kongregate, they aren't even opening on the main game page aside from their newest game. I use to love Sorcery Quest because it was one of the best dungeon games I could find for free, I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I'll be able to find it somewhere else or if this is it for their games.

@Dreden You do get your gold back, it just gets divided among your team and mixed in with the regular gold drop, so it doesn't seem like it.
