Great game! Needs Badges, A Save system(everytime you lvl up it autosaves) And also maybe make a sequel With more upgrades and what not :) 5/5 ...also maybe make the later lvls i little more balanced gameplay.

The scoring system needs some tweaks. Since score is based on kills and difficulty is based on levels, it can be easily abused by not leveling up. It also makes the pixel/magnet upgrades a detriment early on.

Very solid execution; however, in the later levels survival tends more towards luck than skill. Item drops are the only way to survive, and adding a "luck" upgrade would greatly serve the survival strategy. A few minor tweaks could make the 'good' replay value really 'great'!

Now this is what an action game really is. I like it, but the problem is: i suck at it. Wish I didn't have to start back everytime I get the game over screen.

I really liked the game, but...
A few things felt frustrating to me.
The chain kill trophies were almost ridiculously more difficult than any of the other trophies. Even specifically trying to get them, and basing all my upgrades around them, i got the first two quite easily, and then ended up getting every single other trophy, (Except the unlock all gold, unlock all platinum, unlock all trophies ones) before i even got gold in the chain trophies. That doesn't seem balanced to me.
Also, it would have been nice if there were some more upgrade options, or some base traits that upgraded automatically when you leveled, like damage, health and speed. Then i would've wanted to be able to upgrade how much each creature's attack hurt me too.

Dont like dying? Go back to quick savable games; cake walk games like Halo or quit complaining. Death is meant to be unforgiving, not something that happens and you seemlessly spawn back in were you left off. - You people always seem to forget someone spent time to do these type of games and maybe out of pocket for it. Additionally its free you, can't gripe over free be's

I suggest that maybe every 10 levels you obtain counts as a checkpoint so u don't start back at the beginning every time you die.

This is quite addictive - in a good way. But the Gold and Platinum Chain Awards seem to hard to me, because you lose the chain, when you get hit without shield. You get Evasion Expert (not getting hit for 120 sec) long before you can dream about a chain of 500 - let alone more. And it could be possible were it not for the fumes, but when you have no shield, they're bound to hit you with their spikes.
And also the hitbox of your ship doesn't seem absolutely accurate (is it a square perhaps?), so you get hit a lot, without actually being hit.
But this is nitpicking, of course, which I wouldn't do, if I did not like the game. 5/5

Reminded me a lot of the game that was similar but you had a sword that went *WHOOSH* and *CLANG* and all the enemies were blobs and stuff... =D It did find this slightly more difficult to control but maybe I'm just crap! =P

I think this is one of the best flash games I've ever played *5/5*. It would be cool to see actual open word levels as well as this survival mode, but that's asking a lot. Perhaps for Pixel Purge 2...

You WILL learn to fear and loathe the tiny tiny purple enemies! Those guys are the sole reason for all my Game Overs. I don't mind the restart after a death, I find it makes you think about your upgrading order and schtuff.

At the moment, trophies give you a skill point in the game you are in, but do not give you starting skill points in future games. This makes the future games more difficult as you can't rely on the extra skill points gained from trophy collection.

Your progress is saved, your trophies. This is an arcade game, it's a single play for high score, then it's over. Unlocking trophies gives you BONUS STARTING SKILL POINTS. Unlock trophies and you'll be rewarded with "saved data" in the sense that you'll have skill points at the very beginning, allowing you to get further.

mmm, games where players progress isnt saved should really be obsolete in ourdays... 3/5 . if there ever comes an update where progress is saved, ill come back and play it, and rate higher.

Bug: I entered pause menu with the mouse held down and when I let go it would buy upgrades for me. I did this three times, twice it bought me upgrades and once it made me quit :(

fun game. scored in the top 25 percent. i really wish i could have a checkpoint. lost intrest when i found out i had to start allll the way over... 3/5

i thought it was alright, but the rewards for getting achievements didnt seem very good really, and also, remove the dodging achievement, its just a easier form of chain kill achievement

i do think that the arena like playfield is somewhat small, i do find the the sudden change from from player centered view stopped by the invisible wall very disturbing. both of these aspect do make evasive movements very difficult...

Using a minimap instead of relating in-screen position to overall position would help both issues, but there should also be clear map borders or the play area should wrap around.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There needs to be better feedback relating your position in the full virtual space. It's way too easy to accidentally run to the edge. It also doesn't help having your direction of shooting altered by your own movement due to drifting around the visible screen area.
Using a minimap instead of
