Hey guys! Sorry for not updating you all sooner. I had assumed most of you already knew, but I see now that I was wrong. I’m still alive!
About 5 years ago I changed my studio name to the temporary “The Village Blacksmith”, or “ThatBlacksmith” on Kongregate until I finally settled on my current name “2D Heroes” in early 2013. I released a few games under each of those names on Kongregate, but eventually moved on to bigger and better things.
I’m currently streaming every weekday over on Twitch, building games for Steam, Web and potentially even Mobile. You can find my stream and more information at http://twitch.tv/2dheroes
P.S. – Pixel Purge 2 will still be a thing. I just have to find time to work on it <3

Badge tips: the impossible badge is essentially a skill wall plus a small amount of luck, especailly when you encounter a spring enemy which flat out sucks. The best thing to do is to just try to memorize the best path for each floor to get the most gems in the safest way, save the attract gem item for areas were there are difficult to get diamonds and don't take any unnecessary risks like trying to get a gem when there is not much tower left to move up. You can get the easy and medium badges easily just trying the impossible badge as well as most of the trophies needed for the hard badge, though you will probably need to grind a bit to finish it off and they don't register at all unless you actually exit the tower.

That awful moment when you try to fit the character in the door but it just moves too much and you die because of your low precision :P

If anyone else is having an issue with the game showing up as just a white screen, just right-click and select 'Play' from the box to get the game started. + if this helped you, so others can see!

Enemies definitely should NOT destroy the crumbling platforms, they can literally make it impossible to do even before you can see them. That's not extra challenge, that's just unfair

Pro tip: go for as many blues as you can, as they're worth 10 greens. It's totally fine to leave plenty of greens lying around, but get as many blues as possible. And whites too, when it won't kill you to do so, since they're worth 100 greens.

Nearly forgot about this game, surprised I hadn't favorited it before. Pure skill, no upgrades, grab as many gems as you can while listening to a fantastic chip tune loop. This is the pure gameplay experience that most flash games today lack. 5/5

Decent concept, but buggy. In survival mode, upon dying it says it saved your trophies; however, trophies are only saved if you exit through a door. Likewise, "banking" your gems does not actually bank anything (gems or trophies), despite saying it does. It just skips a couple floors and costs you 1.5k or so.

The enemies seem so excessive. I can be doing really well, but then an enemy pops out of no where and kills me. Really?
