Honestly, this is a great game 5/5. I really felt like i was driving down that road. especially if you put on youtube or music on it sounds like you are listening to the radio and it enhances the realism :D

If you run head-on at a speeding car that is involved in a shootout with a helicopter, than you probably don't deserve to survive the Zombie Apocalypse. Just sayin'.

Good game but I only have one problem.In Great Escape the game should have a list of "roads" yet to come.I mean how many checkpoints are there and such.Players should know if they are close to the end etc.

Wow! I never usually go as far as saying something like this...but this is pretty much the best programmed Flash game I've ever played! Everything about it has been pieced together so lovingly, from the voiceovers, to the varied different ways you can interact with the objects and how they affect you depending on how you collide with them. 5 stars very well earned and a tip of the hat from myself.

Having now reached maximum upgrades, I find myself struggling to beat the game.
Problems I've found. My car is wider than it feels. Getting a zombie on the hood and having to shoot it or smash into something, means I get to choose between not having a window anymore if I shoot it. or losing all my speed and causing damage by rear ending something. It's not ideal. IMO beating the easiest difficulty shouldn't be a huge pain in the ass.

too much luck involved and too hard to kill copters. fully maxed out and still get shot to death. way too much grind.

Instead of having to die before being able to upgrade, you should be able to pull into a garage at each checkpoint where you can spend the upgrade points at. Also possibly add the ability to spend upgrade points to repair windows and replenish ammo at the "garages" + if you agree please.

Let me get this straight. You need to avoid all the cars, which is like a bullet hell game in and of itself. Then, you need to avoid the trucks and buses, which take up half of the road, causing you to either slow down, steer across the entire screen or take a hit. Then, there are soldiers shooting at you who run across the road, making it hard to avoid them. It's okay, though, your windshield protects you from bullets, until you either get a mutant zombie (who is a bitch to avoid) or run into a few cars. THEN, you need to avoid the f*cking spike strips, which cripple the controls if you run over them, and they jump around the screen as well! That's hard enough, but none of those things are as much of a bitch as those motherf*cking choppers. Damn those things.

Actually you´re the villain in this game, as you ignore the potential risk of bringing the infection out of the city.This is why they shoot you, not the zombies.

The random generation of obstacles seems to frequently result in points where the only clear way through is through a series of spike traps. Which is pretty sh*tty.

Dear civillians,
I realize that you're trying to get away from these zombies that are attempting to kill you in order to save your own lives. However, running in front of a car blaring its horn will not help you. It will not make the driver stop, you will not phase through it, and it won't help you against the zombies. It will kill you. Just clarifying.

Well, I escaped through the tunnel, but I had a mutated zombie clinging to my hood at the time. ... So, I guess the infection does spread to the rest of the world anyway.

Im driving fast as hell, i break tru a checkpoint: guns blazing, explosions, someone screams "the world is ending". A chopper comes by and starts firing at my car. The driver screams like a madman "i wont stop!!", while dodging a missile i ram over a blond women that couldnt hear the horn. I turn on the wiper to wipe all the blood and BAM! a mutated zombi tries to climb the hood. The main character, in my opinion the most badass in the story of flash games, screams "get off my car jackass!" as he pulls the gun and fires. Glass shattered, everything is filled with blood. And all that happens in 5 seconds. EPIC game.

That was one of the most satisfying hard badges I ever earned. It was just hard enough to keep me coming back for more to try to get a little farther each time. While the game's random nature had me pulling my hair out at times, it was just balanced enough to keep me coming back! Thank you!

Many of you seem to forget the city is under quarantine. That's why the military focus so much attention on a driver trying to escape city limits, and knocking down all their fences in the process. They're trying to contain the virus before you manage spread it to the rest of the country, and beyond. That's what I love about this game, the main character is a total bone-head.

Thoughts of a civilian: I am not safe locked inside the house with locked doors, knives and stuff. I better run in the middle of the road, where zombies are everywhere therefore they can be hit by cars.
Thoughts of a soldier: The road will be full by zombies and i have to kill all drivers passing. Should i look for covers say in top of buildings or behind cards or in the pavement so i do not get hit by passing cards? Nevermind. I will just stay in the middle of the road.

This could definitely use a sequel. Kinda leaves us at a cliffhanger. 4/5 - ONLY because cars are way too easy to ricochet off of, leading to a very easy death very early on. Great game.

Tip: Holding space lets you move from side to side very fast. This is useful when you're trying to dodge something quickly. Although it does make your car slow down, so don't hold it all the time.
