WOULD be good, if it wasn't so annoyingly reliant on rng and didn't punish you for trying to capitalize on low prices.

Good difficulty and pretty educational. I could feel the panic of the traders. They didn't care about opium addiction or the morality of what they were doing, they simply had to buy as much tea as they could! And fast!
Very nice game. I had fun. :)

Finally! after approximately 3 years after losing over-and-over again. I have conquered the opium trade. That and I got 30 points. 4/5 (I added another 1 from my last rate)

I lost the game right after clicking the last buy on the tea and the bar stopped at 80 percent. What kind of torture is that? 5 Stars! Loved it!

Great game.
It has the potential to become awesome tough.
Maybe add more resources like spices, cotton and the likes.
Play with different colonialist nations like spain, portugal or netherlands.
Expand with different ships bringing different advantages,(light ships to protect your merchant ships), posibility to get attacked by pirates and lose your stuff. add silver and gold also as currency.
Maybe add more events and few military/political options to help your trade, like if you have enough money to hire an army, you can take over a trade post and not worry about being caught by officials?
Just my 0.02$ :P

A smart, beautiful and educational game! It will take an adjustment of thinking for most of us who love "business" games: you don't need to keep customers happy and stockpile your silver -- you need to sell them tons of opium. TONS. :/ The Crown will take good care of you if you do.
Your score is mostly about volume of opium sold. Choose larger orders over higher prices for the most part. Keeping Britain happy just keeps your new ships coming, though if you don't stay ahead of the ever-increasing tea orders you'll be in trouble. LOVE IT, THANKS E.W.!

Encountered an interesting bug where no deals for opium would pop. I watched sadly as the timer ran out with 85 crates of opium and no druggies.

Cool game but would be a lot better if you could buy upgrades, negotiate about the prics, and if allowed to buy more at once. Also getting the hard badge-yes delaying the prices but also making lot of deals, making all your ships busy when you get more ship to sell opium because it adds value.

Very Easy way to win: Delay the deliveries as far as possible. If you have to send 300 chests, buy 295 and wait until a few seconds before you loose to buy the last 5. This way, you've got more money (and maybe time, i'm not sure) to trade opium.
This way, I've won on the first try with little effort and 9000 silver to spare.

This is possibly the best online game for me. I got all the badges a long time ago, but whenever I see it somewhere, I have to play it again. High tea gets into your blood.

I actually beat the game without getting the badge (scored like 77M), then the next game I failed to complete the last order and scored 99M to get the badge. Doesn't make much sense.

SHIT.I'm Chinese. This whole story is true, and it's all about taking silver from China and making Chinese sick ,and addicted to opium.
I'm not being mad, I just sad

I dont understand the premise of the game. If selling opium is illegal and we aren't getting paid for the tea how does britain think we are to afford to send them all this tea?

i really want to like this game, but the rng for prices is not kind to players. even stocking up to over 600 crates of tea in the early stages still isn't enough of a buffer.
bottom line this is a really fun idea that very rapidly turns into "that one game". it's a shame the difficulty spikes the way it does because otherwise this is fun :/

For the hard badge, you have to make it to 1839 in order for it to register. The badge says win or lose, but that really isn't accurate if you lose before 1839!

Not a bad idea, but the designers expectations are way too high. You simply cannot mash buttons fast enough to supply the demand, and prices fluctuate so much that profit is nearly impossible. Not a good game.
