The key to win this game easily is to be picky with your trade in order to control both chinese addiction to opium and british addiction to tea.
Never sell opium under 70, the more opium you trade the higher the alarm rate in chinese ports and the more opium you need to buy, rising the price in Bengal.
Likewise, don't be desperate to reach the quote of tea as fast as possible, if the clipper has to wait for a few weeks it will help keep british addiction under control, demanding less tea per shipment.
In the last year of the game, you need to purchase tea constantly, so you will need solid reserves of silver in order to ensure your victory.

Mmm. Hard badge on a trash RNG based trading game that has so many flaws.
Reminds me that trash games have always been here, we just pay for them now.

@SoftHard: Um, how does Brexit have to do with the 1800s opium/tea trade or with slavery? Also, I don't know of anyone who is laughing about Brexit. For one thing, it is old news that isn't really talked about anymore. Second, people are saying its a good thing because their is no point having a country part of a union if the people in the country don't want to be in it. This way Britain can can go down their path and see if having less regulations and more freedom will be better for them, while the countries in the EU have more centralized control which may give a better economy due to more stability. As for which is better only time will tell, but I can't think of anyone who is LAUGHING about it.

It seems to me that the Brits were tyrannical seeing how they enslaved Indians to grow opium back in the days. And now with their Brexit stuff happening, everyone's laughing at the Brits! Funny how the tables have turned.

For people who want to pley something easy and by that I mean something which you dont have to pull your hair out to figure out how things work, this is not a game for you. You need to sit down and look at the tutorial several times and then you start slowly and start over several times.

It is not logical build, unless you are a big fan of these kind of games.

You don't need to win the game for the hard badge, just survive long enough to lose to the final order of 720 crates of tea. That way you have enough time to gain points by buying and selling opium. Try not to miss out on selling to any non-risky ports. You don't need to make profits from opium because you can still gain points by breaking even or even making a loss. Make just enough profit to satisfy the tea requirement. For risky ports, however, only sell once you have enough ships or a bribe card and can gain a huge profit (many crates and 90+ silver per crate). I got 115m points by doing as mentioned. :)

Probably the easiest "hard badge" I have ever earned. Came here for the badge of the day but got all 3 in no time at all. I think luck probably had a lot to do with the hard badge though, as the last couple tea shipments you are basically just spam clicking and hoping to not get busted.

I think if there was a way to buy more tea crates at a time (maybe a reward for satisfying tea orders), then this would massively improve the game. As it is, it feels like waiting for tea prices to drop is too risky of a move considering each 30-crate deal takes 1 week.

the price on tea constantly rises, and there is nothing you can do about it as you are forced to constantly purchase it otherwise you wont have enough time to buy enough for all the orders. I had over 50,000 gold left, and could afford more than 2x the amount of tea if i didnt have to wait.

Ι think that when the deadlines are almost due tea prices tend to drop along with the drugs. This made me quite anxious trying to click everything like mad while shipping drugs all over the sea.
