Until at least half way through the third world one of the best ways to damage the enemy's citadel is to spawn unlimited amounts of mice, they can't take a hit but their damage to food ratio is fantastic, they run really fast and their spawn time is nearly nothing.
You do need a decent amount of stronger units shielding them up front, but once they reach the enemy citadel they crush it surprisingly quickly.

A damn good game. 5/5. The units area all cool and make sense. The spells and the rods that go for them are easy to identify and understand. I only managed to beat 3 worlds before my flash crashed and I lost all my data. One of the best thing that can be done to improve the game would be to hold units back. I want to build up a good number of mages but they kept running ahead of other units and dying so I kinda had to stop using them. The ability to order specific units to retreat, stand their ground and advance would be a HUGE improvement and would allow me to strategize a bit. And why are the buy/equip menus slowing down my computer?

120 levels. Just why? 50 or 100 seems much more reasonable. No fast forward button either for those of us who know what we're doing. Too many levels for too much grinding.

I gotta agree. The green levels, especially 4-3, and probably 4-15 if I ever get there, are insanely hard because they are purely RANDOM WITH NO SKILL. As far as I can tell even leveling the monsters and spells that are chosen (even if you don't have them) This leads to just endless attempts until you get the proper order of random tiles to defeat it. Until that it was a good, albeit overly long, game. Just a small tweak, 4/5.

My upgraded rabbit is slower than the tortoise. I think I need to reread a certain children's book because something isn't adding up here.

@Wegetas get only food upgrades for level (if you can) and upgrade archers. if you send them in they virtually never die, and stock up on mana to start attacking them if they come too close.

Completed in 7 hours. Some tips:
1) Focus on getting XP. Forget about money and everything else. If you can get 2 experience rings, always wear them.
2) Upgrade bunnies to max. They are the most useful unit in the game, because they attack at distance and can knock back enemies when in aura.
3) When leveling up, I always picked up abilities to attack: attack rate, more damage in aura, special attack more often in aura, restore health of units in aura, production time, mana cost and the most important, food and mana production.
Forget about Paladog abilities, cover behind the bunnies and you will not have any problem.
4) Stages based on luck will freak you out... specially 4-03 and 4-15. You will hate the game for that.
5) You can level up 15 levels in the stage 5-19. Just make bunnies and wait for giant mummys. Keep killing small mummys to get infinite XP. I leveled up from 102 to 120 in my first play.

I like how the tutorial shows you having over a billion coins and then it shows you the actual amount from the first battle... Way to depress us.

Wait; Paladog is riding on a horse, but it did say that critters were given intelligence and adapt into hybrids, but it excluded Horses given the intelligence? well... i guess that's one way to keep everything in 'peace and harmony'

lol love the worm in the apple It says"I want to grow up fast so I can help you guys fight the evil." I'm like, problem is, the war would probably be over when you grew up and worms can't do all that much.(At least in our world.) LOL

Once you have enough regen, Hood the Rabbit + Wind Mace is an unstoppable combo.
Spam rabbits and use the mace whenever enemies get too close, the rabbits will pile up and form a line, destroying everything in their way once enough are stacked together.

My one big complaint is that in the random battles, it always tries to summon the monkey bombers. why doesn't it summon the more powerful units that are unlocked? Instead to summons one of the weakest troops even when fully leveled up, that can't stand up to more than 2 hits. Otherwise i liked the game.

Just so you know, there is a way to get tons of exp, gold, and items super fast. I'm not sure if the developer wants to change this or not. I gained about 40+ levels (now I am 198), 2 million gold, and around 60 items all in the space of about 15 minutes. This is because of the zombie king enemies that spawn on level 5-19. all you need to do is have dragons kill their minions that they summon but let them die once they get close enough to hit the zombie kings. Eventually there will be a lot of zombie kings (I found it best if there was 5+ or so) and a TON of zombies that just keep spawning from the zombie kings. The zombie minions die in 1 or maybe 2 hits from my dragon (depending on whether or not they were in the aura or not) but with the mass of enemies killed, your exp and gold and items will sky rocket! As I said, I don't think this method was intended by the developer and is an easy fix (just don't have the zombie spawns give gold/items/exp or at least a lot less). Just an idea.

I've never understood why villans make it so easy. If they hid the key in the cave or the castle, there would be no way to reach them. They really need to learn a thing or two about strategy.

An amazing if grindy game from aeons ago in browser years, which while high in replayability is beginning to degrade in compatibility. It's a shame really. * Tips hat anyways *.
BTW: Hell mode has endgame foes coming sooner, so it is vastly more difficult than any other mode.

Wait, so the mouse was once a notorious gangster? I thought there was no violence or conflict in this world until the devils came?

Could be nice if when you maxed your unit, it had a rare chance to summon a stronger version of itself, just like the enemies do.

The only real complaint I have is the levels where the spells/units come out of Nomnom's mouth. It's too random--one level you can have nothing but spells and get killed almost instantly, and another you can have nothing but units and win. It really slows down the gameplay, which apart from that is really easy.
Other than that, I can't tell if I should be offended by the shopkeeper being a bejeweled pig in a fez.

I think a skill that give you a certain percentage to summon a bigger/stronger unit (just like the enemies) would be cool.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would be interesting if upgrades of units were not linear. So max level mice could be an option instead of dragon for example. Maybe adding new specials at max lvl to make the firstunits reliable at higher lvls

Awesome! Loved this game.
Breaking the game: go to lvl 5-19 and build archers. The queen mummies will spawn mummies and you can lvl/earn infinite gold
