Very Good Game, it reminds me how obsessed i was with "Astral Masters" also it reminds me a LOT of that game, i hope it won't be the same lol

Is there a way to use a custom deck in Archmage duel? Aside from that, phoenix is way overpowered, and Archmage seems completely overpowered, too

A thing I would like to see in the campaign is winning custom effects that you could add onto a card with the price of the card being higher or something like that.

So far I am really enjoying this game, Im not sure if I missed it or overlooked it, but when I started my campaign I had no idea what each "class" of character could do, would be helpful to know before hand. Other than that overall great game so far, 4/5.

Outstanding game, and without the intrusive elements of forced monetary gain.
Is the PC version worth the download?
Thank you for this, great work.

I'd like to report a glitch. In the daily card thing, if I choose the mind master one, I have the card on the field but I don't get the +1 growth bonus. Just thought I'd let you know :o

Very nice game, I love card style monster games but this one takes the cake :) 5/5 question though: Which mode allows me to try and get in the high score table?

I was a little sad, when the campaign was already over. It is a little short and I was so happy to collect all the improvements and new cards and than it was over. But good game

Really like the game.
I do have a couple points of criticism (hopefully constructive), though.
-Some of the campaign matches that have objects on them can be "cheesed" with sacrifice mechanics. One example is the Marching Stones and the Demonologist spell that does 25 damage to the lane opponent by sacrificing your creature.
-AI doesn't seem to want to "chump" dangerous creatures like the fire avatar. It just loses really fast to things like that.
-Some match objects that are supposed to be immune to spells are still vulnerable to "comes into play" effects like the fire wall doing 5 damage to enemy creatures.
-Purely opinion, but I think the hasted drakes have a little too much hp for how good they are. Would probably reduce by 3-4.
Still, fun game. Easy to pick up and has enough depth to be entertaining. Just needs some balance tweaks and mechanical adjustments in a few places is all. Easily a 4/5, but not quite a 5/5.
Good job.

This might be the finest game on Kongregate. I am a designer and creator of CCGs, and have been playing games like MTG since the alpha days; as such I have played a LOT of CCGs over the years. What you have here is a fine example of how the genre should be approached. The mechanics are simplistic in nature, but grant enough freedom to make each of the cards clever and unique without the constant need to introduce new sets of rules every ten minutes. As such the game flows beautifully and is instantly engaging. The artwork is top notch, the music is atmospheric and overall the feel of the world you have created here is one that I imagine many players will be drawn into. I anticipate further chapters of the campaign with baited breath, and I wish you every success with your incredible creation. Vote this up if you agree with me! :)

Insanian king is ridiculous. Get to enough chaos mana to summon him. Use armageddon to wipe the board or you can use stone rain to do that. summon the king and he will summon soldiers to your EVERYTHING. A ridiculous combination that will wipe enemies quickly.

A link to a page explaining the different classes and specialties, as well as strategy and game mechanics to beginners would be useful. Maybe you have one, but I couldn't find it, so in that case, I'd suggest making it more visible and easy to find.

Hey guys I got a great deck setup to beat any archmage duel! My deck is an illusionist-based deck. The key cards and spells to have are the following:
Meditation. Astral Guard, Phoenix, Tornado, Nature Ritual, Master Healer, Madness, Phantom Warrior, Hypnosys, Wall of Reflection.
STRATEGY: When you go into Archduel, (1) click the Master Healer card to start out with. (2) Summon Phantom Warrior until all slots are full. (3) Use Nature Ritual to heal your Master Healer and Tornado to get rid of big threats attacking your healer.
For more in-depth strategy please pm me. There is A LOT more to this strategy than you think, but it helped me defeat the Archmage 10 times in a row!

Wall of Reflection + Stone Rain is an evil combo. Stone Rain may inflict 25 damage on both your opponent's and your cards, basically destroying what you have on the field, the Wall of Reflection would hurt your opponent for that same amount

@TheMadAlchemist: There is one in "Other Options -> Help", although it just goes over what each card does for the most part. I personally have considered making a guide for it since I know the cards by heart now, but dunno how Fighter would feel about an unofficial one :P.

So, and mind you I just started playing, this Celeste wants me to kill all the shard keepers and then bring the shards to her for "safe keeping?" Apparently she chose me because I'm a little slow, eh?

they really should explain the classes before you pick them
(i played this before but i still want to know the cards in each class before i start champain)

I think this game is like a fusion of tyrant and elements, with a few additional things thrown in. BE PROUD FIGHTER! those 2 are considered some of the best card games on Kong
This game is much older than these games.
Almost all card games are inspired by this game and its ancestor: Astral Tournaments, Astral Master, Spectromancer.

my only problem with this game is that the campaign is so short and i'm expected to spend most of my time doing the random archmage fights which is somehow the center of the game but is placed in such a way that it seems like it's not a big part of the game at all. the achievements are in other options and it's somewhat tricky to find the first time. awesome game, some unbalances but overall fun to play and addicting. i suggest a new menu to include archmage duel on it so it's easier and more convenient plus make the campaign longer, it was just way too short and i didn't feel completely satisfied. i still have to give this a 5/5, alot of work and thought obviously went into this game.
