Upgrades is a must in a game like this instead of powerups that last a limited time. Right now it is fun, but more of a good way to waste time not something I would play for "fun".

Thanks for feedback guys! One hint: try the game on "hard" or "impossible". The score you earn will be multiplied by 1.5 (hard) or by 2 (impossible).

Gets very repetive fast, lacks upgrades ... it's more like some kind of shoot em up ... story mode means only "new enemy every wave" .. so ..

As everyone said, upgrades would be nice. Also, the mission with the slow-ass transport in it is rather annoying. A simple mis-click and it dies (since it asplodes in like two hits...). Also, the score on how many clicks doesn't really go well. If you just hold down the button it says a whole one click.

Really enjoyed the game but shouldnt the friendly ships at least help you a little? All they do is hurt you at this point

Great first game man. I agree with other posters that upgrades would help keep the game from becoming repetitive. Also, since you basically want to hold the mouse button down 100%, adding a button to toggle "shooting" and "not shooting" would make the game easier to play. Looking forward to your next game.

It's nicely polished, but a bit boring. The sound is a little wacky. I like the auto-charged-shots ability, but it would be very nice to have a 'microfire' options as well - maybe make these Z/X options? (z = autofire small shots, X = autofire large shots)

good graphics, easy controls, needs some work on the variety - also, an idea would be to be able to upgrade your ship more permanently. 3/5, for now.

what has been said is true. but i also apreciate the work gone in the look of the game (good curves, nice shapes, but really needs more variety). with some more work, this can turn into something above average. but until then 3/5

And because the last comment would've been too long with this included, I graciously give you a 2/5 because I can tell it took some time to make this and it isn't some peace of crap people throw on here to get the Developer logo next to their name. It did need some more time, however.

Here's hoping this is seen as constructive criticism and not some kind of "I'm gonna trash your game because I'm angry" message: 1.) As everyone else has already mentioned, you need upgrades. 2.) Why are all the enemies red? That's not too original. 3.) The aforementioned lack of upgrades make this game boring. I failed to make it past level 11 before losing interest. 4.) Why would the robots just miraculously retreat? "Oh, this guy lasted 3 minutes against us. Better turn back and not keep attacking because there's apparently a s***load of us." 5.) Why, if one small bullet cannot defeat the weakest enemy in one hit, why would it be able to destroy the massive transport thingy? 6.) For some reason, during the dialogue between levels, you apparently made everyone unable to hard to miss grammatical errors. They forget to say "a" or "the" quite a bit. With all that said, here's hoping you'll take that to heart and consider it next time to make a game. 2/5.

No upgrades, having to click for every shot or hold it for a mediocre chargeshot, mediocre upgrades, an irrelevant story (if that's what it is) = just another shooter. 2/5

Of course upgrades or auto turrets would help a lot. Also the warning about friendly fire should come BEFORE the units appear.

How does this game have no upgrades? I mean, aside from the short-lived upgrades you get during the levels, your craft is the same strength throughout the game, while the enemies continue to get stronger and more numerous with each passing stage. The controls are very smooth, but the lack of upgrades is extremely disappointing. A little more variety in enemies and some meaningful objectives would be nice, too. 3/5.

at the beginning i saw uranium mines so i thought
might be some sort of civilization creation sorta thing but when i saw only a shooter i was a bit disturbed
maybe making it like that and adding upgrades between rounds would be good

If there were buy able upgrades, This game would have gotten a 5/5 and probably won a reward on either the weekly or monthly. but 4/5 because there isn't.

Mastercool2: Thanks and I agree with your comment. I probably over-compressed original music from the Newgrounds author who was kind enough to allow me to use it. Let me update it tomorrow.

Good game, surprisingly it didn't feel as repetitive as I expected. Needs an upgrade system to become an excellent game. It deserves a 4/5.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
yeaah it has potential, but it gets repetetive without something to work towards, exp and permanent upgrades would make it ALOT better 3/5

Thanks for feedback guys! Not doing upgrades/shop was not an easy decision, but wanted to have 1 finished game, rather than 1 unfinished project. ;) Your comment is well taken though - if I do the sequel, that would be N1 thing to add.
