This is one of the best flash games i have ever played. To think that it was created by only two people! You guys are to be commended. The result is just spectacular; the graphics are crisp, cute, clean, and vivid, the gameplay is classic platformer. Really enjoyed the variety of enemies and weapons. I had so much fun completing the game i feel like I owe you some money. BTW it looks fantastic fullscreen using swiffout or better kongregate.

Here's a hint: At Area 5, if you fall at the Bottomless Area, don't worry. Go to the next "room", than come back, and you will win the challenge.

For being the final boss, he is as easy to beat as any regular enemy. You just have to keep jumping over him when he shoots, then hit him until he jumps back (while advancing upon him, or you won't make the jump over him before he shoots again) to shoot again. Keep that routine on him immediately every time and he won't even be able to call allies or really do anything else. That method is an easy way to get the stars for beating him without dying, with only bare fists and within 2:40; I didn't keep count of my combo, but maybe the 60 combo star too, as he's easy enough to avoid being hit by. Also, fists (with punching maxed) seem to be the best anyway, since it stuns him for 5 or 6 hits and doesn't run out like weapons.

Quality graphics? Yes. Lovely audio? Affirmative. Smooth, responsive game play? Check. Loads and freaking loads of lag? Amazingly, no! Oh my goodness, I do approve of this. ♥

Awesome game! This is one of the few games that I keep playing beyond the Kongregate achievements - and probably the most fun "hard" badge I've been awarded. Keep making games like this one!

Brilliant. The variety of weapons and the attention to detail really sets this game apart from your traditional side-scrollers. The achievements also help to put a unique spin on the levels, making you explore and move objects around like a puzzle. Juggling the enemies for gems kept me entertained for hours. It would have been nice to have additional upgrades, maybe even costumes. After you maxed out, there was nothing else to spend money on.

A great platformer but something about the frame rate is causing me to get dizziness and nausea after 5-10 mins of playing. Don't quite understand why because I usually only get that on 1st-person views. I got through 3 levels before having to give up and lie down. Other than that, 5/5. And I loved RoS too!

this game and its sequel will always have a special place in my heart. And yes, got the hard badge before the medium.

My only complaint about an otherwise fantastic game is that I have to wait a full ten seconds after beating a level for the summary numbers to finish before I can continue

This is the type of game that made the SNES great. A very cool "Super Mario World 2 : Yoshi's Island" feel to it :) ace!!

This is legitimately fun, and gives plenty to do. I love the attention to detail and the rather large assortment of arms available - I was going to give it a 4, but then I discovered the bucket of scorpions and rattlesnake. Really makes me want to fire up River City Ransom. 5/5

Finally found the 4th treasure in lv10!!! It lies between two crushers, that bump up and down alternately (not those with bottomless pits beside). Check on the floor carefully. Please click + to let people know.

Great game, five of five, but since I am playing on an older computer, i would very much appreciate a quality toggle.

The mindless use of -/+ buttons here is really annoying. Anyone has a problem or a question? 10 minutes and he has -15 (nstead of an answer). Somebody's typing in YEAHWTFLOLVOMITOMGLOLOL - after ten minutes the comment is top rated and has dozens of replies. *sigh* (comment is not aimed at this particular game)

I think there needs to be a skip button for the score tally at the end of each level. I don't like seeing that every time I beat a level while grinding for medals.

another hard badge for me c:
realy good plattformer with challening options, speed runs nice music, many weapons and treasure searching. One thing would be nice, if we can find different Treasures and have a "Museum" to see what we got. But hey, theres a part 2 of this Game, maybe i get surprised^^ 5/5

Everyone knows that before the advent of the plane, chickens were the preferred method of aerial transport used in the Old West.

@siiti: We've heard some keyboards (especially on laptops) can't do two arrow keys plus the "S" key at the same time. If you can't aim diagonally up (or down when running/jumping), try switching your controls to use Z and X instead of A and S, that sometimes gets around this problem.

Had 39/40 challenges, so i decided to go for the first one in the last level, which was actually pretty long. So, if someone's interested, here's a full layout for it, which i made for myself in process of searching: http://i.imgur.com/YS2TpQp.png ; hope it helps! To get there, you should not break any vases in the beginning, and take them with you, and leave them in places where you need to jump a bit higher.

Excellent game! Extremely polished and professional. I enjoyed it immensely, and still look forward to completing the rest of the challenges.
There are just a few things that I was missing a little bit as I played. (I admit that these are total nitpicks) Firstly, the background music was excellent, among the highest quality I've heard on a free internet game, but I was somewhat disappointed as I went through the levels and it was the same two themes over and over. Second, I loved whipping weapons, but would have liked to be able to whip them upwards and at angles. Thirdly...maybe a couple of more boss fights?
Excellent game, once again.

The game is extremely in details, including graphics and game-play. Wide range of weapons make the game ultimate. Achievement/star/treasures are not too difficult and not too easy. I think it is the best adventure-action game in 2011! (5/5 + favourite)
