When I first saw this game's title and description, I thought it would have been a space-themed game where you control a solar sail and attempt to use interstellar radiation to accelerate while attempting to avoid being pulled into destruction by a star's gravity. What I actually find is completely different, but it is certainly entertaining to play. Even before getting any power ups, the deceptively-simple style is amazing, and I love how the shadows are affected by the sun's position. I almost want to know what the diameter and rotation speed of this planet is, to figure out what speed would be needed to always remain in the sunlight. It would be funny if going too fast leaves the sun setting on the other side and putting you in the dark.

It shouldn't give us the death screen if we just run out of power because we did not crash, it should have something else up.

This game is Cubefield 2 on steroids! I've been playing only for about a half hour but this game is probably my favorite on kongregate, I love it when you barely miss an object, then turn hard in the opposite direction and barely miss another object, one improvement idea that would help the gameplay experience is to add a speedometer and a throttle, my idea is to have the up arrow key increase speed (and the multiplier) and the down arrow key to lower it, but only to the average speed you would be at without increasing it, lastly I think downhill and uphill slopes would be another great addition

I would like some sort pf progression meter. I've never been past region two (I find this game to be challenging) so having a progress meter help my set goals and track my improvement which is especially useful in a repetitive game like this.

Starts so harmless and bald, but only some perseverence takes you into exciting landscapes. Maybe after 10 rounds one's perception simply changes. Great job! Luv ur stuff! 5/5

just put hard badges on this ... i know the first and second region map, and where is the boosters + tris in region 1 (well there are a few different layouts) ... but still can't get 80k for the level 2 quest ...

Awesome game. Love the light and shadow, and the sounds too. The first time crossing the 'sea' into the next world as the sun fully set was actually really eerie (not knowing quite what was going on). Any chance of a Tris counter though? It would be great to know how far off the objective you are - whether you have time to play it safe or not.
Glad you're liking it! f.y.i, if you pause the game (escape) the objectives will show you how far along you are towards the goal.
Also, from the main menu or the death screen, you can hit the "more stats" button to see your total tri count.

It's unfortunate that objectives aren't credited retroactively. I did great one round, and achieved things that I'd have to do all over again for the objectives of the next level.

Very good game. I'm not sure that the "insane speed" comments are indicative of the game, as it feels "fast enough" for me. I never felt like I didn't have enough time to dodge something and literally all of my deaths are either deliberate or due to greed. Still, great game. Lots of fun.

Congratulations! You've made the sun more ominous than that particular desert level in Super Mario Bros. 3. How about adding a ghost racer? I think that would make a fine addition to your game since there are no competing solar racers and the game is essentially a time trial mode with achievements. Think about it...

There is a serious problem with the game. Sometimes, when starting a new round, the flyer will move very slowly, making it impossible to play the game properly. If this happens once, it will continue to happen until the page is refreshed.

Hi could you make different perspectives? In racing games like forza, you can switch between first person and third person driving, and i think it'd be freaking awesome to play this in first person

First of all, I would like to say that this is a work of sheer genius. The controls are perfect, the Magnet and JumpMaster don't make the game too easy. Really fun game, I spent an hour and a half straight p[laying it when it came out!
Just one thing: The game was FAR too easy. I got all the badges in by the same guy.

I'm an adrenaline junky, and this is my drug. The immense speed, everything around you blurring up as you watch 60 meters ahead, dodging with insane reaction time, it's also a great workout for reflexes. AMAZING JOB!!!

Anybody else having trouble loading the game? I tried all the different types of browsers, even IE11 and I still can't get the game to work properly.

by the way, this game has been produced as a full game including different regions more mobile opposition, higher levels of upgrades, different obstacles etc. the developers are just keeping the alpha on here for free. the full game costs money.

I know it was there for a reason, but the "easy" badge is pretty dang "medium" for me. :/ Still haven't gotten it. It's just too hard for me to collect tris without being completely smashed into bits. And don't you dare rate this down. It's an opinion, for pete's sake!

The score requirement (80k in a single run) at level 2 is completely unreasonable and not at all in line with the other two. Not to mention that once in a while the game will start (and remain) totally sluggish, making the flight leisurely but, with the sun still setting at full speed, totally impossible. Playtest, fix the bugs, right now this very simple avoider is not worth much.

For the 80k badge: be sure to focus on getting your multiplier up (don't collide with the squids or anything else or it resets!)
