Too steep of a learning curve, I spend so much time on a level only to lose on one of the last waves, also skill points are too tough to get

This game is honestly so easy... I played it back when it came out and I'm playing it again now to get the Kongregate badges.. Just make pure towers, few towers and upgrade them... I start off more levels with 2 towers and get them up to lv4 before building anymore. It works. I get gold most times on the first play through the level..

i agree with kittyismaster, this is my #1 game too. the things people are complaining about are some of the things that make it that. i like the longer levels an all that stuff 5/5

Gold medal: must have the max lives upgrade on later maps. Lives left is part of your score. This makes the life steal very valuable.

20 bombs planted – These tasks must be individually completed in the SAME GAME, but you do not need to complete all of them in the SAME GAME. Wait What???

huh... the answer is using angel dolls on instant death gomphuses =) as example: i had two instand death towers on level 6.. gave them angel dolls... and got 7 million + score.. (you need 6 million for gold). There is a easy way to get dolls: make upgrade to get accessories at the beginning and keep restarting until you get dolls. :)

This game sucks, the elemental choices make no sense, the name of the towers, "gomphus" makes no sense, and it's ridiculously overpriced to uppgrade towers. plus I accidentally scroll because the unorganized, and terrible hud is in the scroll-activation area. plus the sound made when you skip to a wave is downright stupid and the sound when a tower is placed is stupid. that's just a short list.

This was the first TD game I ever played, so it has a special place in my heart! I like the gem aspect and the fact that you have to discover their combined effects. Power-ups are good and allow for strategic play. Levels really aren't that long in the short or normal versions since you can fast forward. I do think that levels 9 and 10 are a little too amped up in difficulty over the previous 8. I also wish there was an option to see and interact with the whole field instead of having to scroll around. 4/5.

Good game and fun to play, but there desperately needs to be a 5x-8x speed up button (I think 10X would be too fast), that and Skill points are a bit hard to come by. Either you need to gain more or skills should cost less. The variety of upgrades is also pretty pitiful. Tower variety is very small as well. The element system is a nice idea, but ends up being more frustrating in the end. The accessories was a nice touch, but more equip slots would have beeen nice, perhaps unlock a second slot at tower lvl 5 or something? Other than those things it's a pretty decent game and I rate it 3/5

i like the game.. i dont like how i always die on the last wave.. takes nearly 1 hour per map.. than failing on the last wave SUX

Is anyone else having trouble with the 'Tricks of the Truffle' badge? I got the teleport and instant deaths ages ago but I've been stuck on 18 bombs planted and 31 confuses forever. They don't ever increase even though I know I've been confusing and planting bombs. Refreshing doesn't seem to help either

Most guides are a little outdated due to the game having had some updates along the way. As usual, stick to upgrading lvl 6 towers (rotate through all the colors). For level 9 and 10, don't worry so much about score as it'll most likely be gold medal as long as you complete the level. Also for level 9 and 10, from round 60 onwards, build about 10-12 teleport (keep it at level 3 and put clovers in them). For those immune to teleport, build a new lvl 6 tower to counter that element. Otherwise, most of them will get teleported back and it'll be easy getting that hard badge.

Y does the speed switch always reset to 1x after finishing a level ? Whould be nice if it remebered its previous state!

There should be a way to turn off the music permanently from the outside of the game...so that it stays off when you come back to play....

if u sudenly start with 20000000 gold for no reason try to finish then when returns 2 normal ,do nothing u finish it!!!!!!

For levels 9 and 10. the only combinations I can see working would be big splash + slow, massive teleport, or machine gun. The all pure gems strategy does not seem to deal enough damage to win. :/.
