my experience: got steamrolled when i first started (thought you had to actually reach max exp before you can upgrade hero/units). noticed that you can max a hero right off the bat-> a single army: maxed mage hero, 3 warriors, 2 firemages. nevermind the ridiculous income from cities, your main income will be looting enemy armies. never bother with city defenders either, IF a city gets taken it means you can take it back for serious cash. design new armies once all techs are maxed. not like you'd need more than 3, but just for the heck of it. btw, a decent start (maxed tech at mission 2) pretty much means you've won the game :P

defensive cleric/magician is surprising useful.. the skill slowed the strongest unit and, and use high armored knight captain to take melee damage, combining with cleric to heal. i dont even need to heal my guys with money with the combo

Solid base, needs expansion. While I never found it necessary, it would be really easy to just sit and accumulate resources and research. Not that there's a terribly large number of units to research. When units upgrade during battle there needs to be a choice, not an automatic thing. There needs to be a "heal party" button, instead of having to drag units individually. More hero varieties would be nice. The defensive clerics are basically useless. Good start, needs tweaking.

Okay, now the load button has appeared where the tutorial on/off button was before. It's obvious now, but the fact that it did not exist before now is even worse than being hard to find. I had no possibility of loading saved games until the button decided to appear. I wish I could rate lower than 1/5 stars.

There is no load button. The main menu has five choices: Play Game, Play D Space, Instructions, View Highscores, and Add This Game to Your Site. That's it. And where could the load button be hiding in the game screen? It's not anywhere!

The gold limit's either too low, or there needs to be a way to trade gold for iron. Otherwise I spend my time farming.

I agree -- it's too easy to just sit on your controlled villages, gathering resources and researching upgrades, and fighting off the cpu's to get experience. Suggested fix might be to put a resource cap on all locations, including the enemy, so there is a finite amount to be gained on each map?

The load button is an Easter egg if it exists. It's too bad the save button isn't as hard to find because it's not nice to let people save expecting to be able to load. -4 stars on an otherwise great game. 1/5 stars.

Wow, awesome you got the rights for the Castlevania music, man. And it needs to be louder and far more distorted. I can still hear myself think.

the revive cost is insane sometimes.. much more than re building the same unit.. y not sell the dead unit and re build it, u got a 70% refund and cost less to make another

i very much like the armies, levels and upgrades carrying over from one level to the next, but completing a levels mission quickly prevent more xp and gold overall, I would suggest some sort of early finish bonus to compensate.

At first, I thought this would be another half-made joke of a game, much as many others made these days come out to be. However, I was kindly treated to a working system, a unique concept, well-made graphics, and a great game in general. My only two problems at all with this game are the fact that there is no auto-heal / Heal All feature, and there should truly be more upgrades. I found myself to have them all by the fourth level, which was actually a bit disappointing. Aside from that, this is an outstanding game, and I only wish I had the time to finish it -- I had to stop at Level 7, as I had things to do. Until the main features are fixed, I will make my initial rating a 3/5. I'll push it up to a four once they're fixed.

yeah, this is definiitely glitchy. one Man At Arms costs ~600 gp to bring back to life, whereas another one costs ~1100

Maybe even just a button to heal all units to click on instead of the tedious click-drag of every unit every minute. My only other problem is that in battle you can't cancel a command so your stuck selecting a target if you accidentally click attack.

Very easy game if you just stop doing your mission and collect money to upgrade. Gets a little annoying having to heal after every fight manually (option to heal after a fight would be nice)

Serious balance issues. First enemy army I fought was 1 unit larger than my army, had better units, and took all three of my armies *combined* to kill it (fully healed, as much as I could afford, I gained some small villiage as a result). Its turn happens, its army comes along, beats the shit out of my 1 remaining, badly damaged army, gets fully healed, beats the shit out of the town defenses, heads next door, is fully healed *again* and beats the crap out of those defenses too!
WTF? This is _the fist level,_ it should not be this hard.

You can load a saved game, but there is no autosave and no keeping track of where you are in a campaign. very frustrating to fight through the first three missions and come back to no save, but to have a save at a random point where I thought it would be a good idea in the first mission.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The real problem with this game is that it's easy to make your saved game become impossible. Since there's only one save slot, you can't go back to an older game, and since you can't replay old missions to build up your resources, it's easy to be boned.

nice concept, but.... ok, there already is a save 'button'. now, what would really be nice is an actual save 'feature' :P seriously though, how do you continue a "saved" game? not mentioned in the instructions, no load button, play game just leads to a new game. don't tell me you can't save on kong.

What game were most of you talking about? Save function: present. Cure all: present (hint: buy the cleric upgrade -__-'). I suggest playing more than 1 minute before commenting. That said, I agree that the upgrade system needs a little tweaking, and after you maxed your army the game is too much easy. 3.5/5.

Why is it getting so expensive to revive my demon? He hasn't leveled up or anything. It costs so much to revive him I could buy about 3 new ones for the same cost and they'd be just as good.

Has balance issues, needs auto save and it bugged on me after being in the army buy/heal/upgrade/sell screen, clicking research after clicking back then clicking back and ending up at... THE ARMY SCREEN! Now I can't do anything <.<
Has loads of potential that's currently being wasted on a rather bad game that, at first, looks really awesome.

I really liked the format, but like everyone said, needs alot of tweaking, could totally be a great game. After the first battle I was halfway done upgrading too. Would love to see more units, more upgrade paths, an auto-attack button, a marketplace to buy/sel iron, and in general, anything that would make the game less click when its your turn and more strategic
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Had potential but is not there yet - hate games where units on 1hp still do max damage - they shouldn't be able to beat an egg. Balance is an issue too - loadsa gold then can't do stuff cuz no iron. Needs more stepped upgrade path and a save
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
No save fail. Additionally upgrade systems need tweaking. Otherwise you can just sit on first level untill you are fully upgraded/have all max armies.
