WOW, the last wave was going on way too long! mess my PC so much and made it go so slow XD
How i made it:
First 3 line archers
then 1 line knights (this one have more health then barricade)
and the last 4 you fill with barricades.
(keep buy barricades if to many get destoyed)
Then is the rest up to you

Maybe I'm stupid and missed it, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to see your knights' health unless they just got hit. I want to heal my meatshields :(

I had no problem to beat the last level following BennyGreen's combo, but I changed the ground a little bit, as it follows:
S - S - I - S - B - A - A - A
S - I - S - S - B - A - A - A
S - I - S - S - B - A - A - A
S - S - I - S - B - A - A - A
Spike, Ice trap, Barrier, Archer
I liked the ice trap, as it is really handy against big enemies, and there are a LOT of them in that level, so the archers hit the slimes, ghosts and bombers instead of them. I also recommend the 3-stars saver regen skill.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, but I can't get ANY of the mage items to work. I press the hot key, nothing. I aim and click with the mage item selected- nothing. What am I missing??

For some reason this games give me massive freeze laggs. Got one at the last wave at the final battle, it lasted for half a wave. It would be great if I were able to change the quality so that I will be able to play this awesome game! :)

on the last level i just play with 2 lines of archers at back and 2 layers of knights in front and the rest spikes and use Fireball->Iceball or just use lightning and cannons

this game is so **** i keep take 2stars in the level 8 and 9 and i cant finish it i use 4spike row 1knight row and 2 archer row it still lose with those monster why those monster it stronger than before?

Oh yeah, and cannon is good for those pesky slimes. Or archers. Or barricades. To make them suicide before your base...

Or, you could farm the lower levels for EXP and then use both BennyGreen's and Krolan's ideas, using maxed spikes, barricades, and archers, and using cannon-shotgun-arrows-fire-ice-cannon-shotgun-arrows-fire-ice to stop them dead in their tracks...

BennyGreen's advice was the most useful. Krolan was, too, but using the Cannon-Shotgun-Arrows method was much better than using Fireball-Iceball-Fireball. The fire rate is much faster is much faster.

The last wave of the last level was long, and I have no problem with that, but the strategy needed did not change one iota throughout. That's what made it tedious. I appreciate the relatively quick leveling up (some games are far too grindy on this account) but do find it odd that you can max out pretty much every tree quite fast! The Ice Trap and Pit Trap were the only things I hadn't maxed out by the time I got my Hard badge. I'd also have liked a bit more depth and a slightly longer game, but I did like the graphical style.

Another Trick to getting 3 Stars:
- Upgraded Archers + Poison Arrows
- Upgraded Cannon
- Upgraded Knight + Berserker
- Upgraded Coins
- Upgraded Castle Regen (to make up for stray hits)
- Upgraded Heal
- Upgraded Freeze Tower
- Upgraded Mana Regen
- Lightning
Ultimate goal:
- 4 Columns of Archers on the Far Right
- 3 Columns of Freeze Towers on the Far Left
- 1 Column of Knights in the middle
Start with 2 columns of Archers, then get a Column of Freeze Towers. Alternate between Columns until complete.
For taking down Dragons/Elementals, Do Cannon -> Lightning -> Cannon. Aim to hit multiple enemies to get rid of more at once.
Heal/Replace Knights as they die or get damaged.
Same with Archers if they get past the Knights.
Shot anything you see on screen, and grab coins to reduce lagging ^^;
