WHAT?! LMAO my base was completely intact. i killed the final enemy on the wave and my base collapses and i get a defeat screen.... IT WAS AT 100% HP LOL omg :x

aparently there is no lag issues with a previous version of flash. Finished it prety fast. From right to left 4 lines of archers 1 line baricade 2 lines spikes & in front of everything the freez turet went down prety easy. No spells where used just keep rotating with shotgun & cannon. Keep pressing 3-2-1 & keep repeating when canon is ready.

the lag I get at last 2 lvls is imense. Cant even fire. I ve noticed that if i manage to pick coins gets a bit better but still i get frozen after a while. Perhaps if you make the coins get picked up instantly might get better. That or fix your memory issues somehow. There is no point for coins to stay on screen anyways since they will get picked up after sometime. Just make them go str8 to your wallet or w/e u calls it. Nice game liked it but the freez issues on last 2 lvls is so annoying gona give you 2 * until u fix that. If & when u do I ll give a 4 or 5*.

@rtobyr, [flash lags after mouse click] appears only in 23'th version of Flash Player. You may downgrade if you want (I did).

I really think an auto fire option would be great. Holding down the button gets a bit crampy for old people like me with arthritis.

Last stage, last wave, a ghost got through my defense without me noticing, and when I "won" the stage i realized i lost my 3 stars because it took down half my hitpoints

A good tip is to put points into XP Gain at the beginning until it's maxed out. When you hit the max level faster because of it you can reset your skill points and can then put the points into other things and not worry about XP Gain at all.

Fix the lag. How am I suppose to get a 3-star rating on the last level if I can barely even shoot at what I'm aiming at? This isn't Bloons, there shouldn't be this much lag.

it dosent save at all for me i got to the icy mountian place 3 times and it dosent save all of those times im afraid becouse of this its a 2/5 :(

And I am not to crazy about the screen scrolling back and forth. I would like to be able to see my hero shooting as well as the enemy.

To be honest, I only had to replay level 8 in order to beat this game with my method. Basically, start upgrading your champion skill tree. Only upgrade the bow upgrades first (each all the way to 5 before you start the next). Then do the two at the bottom. Then work on the xp/shotgun/cannon. Make sure to max out each before going to another one. After that skill tree is maxed, move to the protector. Make sure to upgrade the spikes -> coins -> barricade -> hitpoints -> hitpoint regen. Then go to sorcerer skill tree and max out heal. Those are the only skills I ever upgraded and I beat the game using the 4 right rows of spikes / barricades in middle row / last three rows of archers technique. Good luck!

I was glad when I hit max level, not because I wanted the sorcerer branch but because the "talent points available" available sign quit appearing. It had a nasty habit of protecting dragons from my sight on that last level in addition to popping up at the wrong time.

If you have 4 rows fully upgraded spikes you really don't have to worry about the spiders and other little crawlers. Add to that a row of archers and you can forget about them. Just follow what BennyGreen above suggests and you will cake walk though most of this. I used a row of fully upgraded barricades to protect all my archers since they are much cheaper to replace. Max out Champion tree to start and you've got it. I didn't use anything in the sorcerer tree at all and walked through with 3 stars on all levels in 2 hours.

Completing the game seems literally impossible. I've gotten to wave 5/5 on the last level 2x now, and each time it just freezes halfway through, and locks up flash and firefox completely. Neat. 1/5

For last level I just did front four rows spikes, back three rows archers, then knights in the final fillable row. Shotgun on the horizon, and lightning whenever a dragon, fire elemental, or giant ogre got halfway through the spikes.

I remember giving up after barely not beating the last level a million times in a row a year or two ago. I think it's about time to try again, if only briefly -- this might be my favorite game on Kongregate (certainly on the Citadel at least).

My layout (starting at the castle): 1 row maxed archers, 2 row maxed walls, the rest ice traps. for weapons i switch between the shotgun and cannon, occasionally using lightning on dragons or elementals and healing my walls

Last stage layout: 1 row of freeze traps up front, 2 x spike rows behind it. A wall section in between the traps and 4 rows of archers. Use lighting for the dragons and the shotgun to finish them off after you zap them. Use fireball for the frozen creeps and cannon for crowd control. The healing spell has its use too, especially during wave 5. Use it on the walls in between tasks.

I confirm dot123's recommendation for 3 star level set up (left to right) 2 spike, 2 wall, 4 archer (everything fully upgraded) and then alternate arrow, cannon, shotgun. Rebuild walls as they crumble. After trying BennyGreen and Krolan's set ups a couple times on the final level, dot123's is definitely superior.

Why do we still have to pick up coins in 2013? Sorry but what a ridiculous comment, you should have to pick up the coins because it's a game, and games don't play themselves...why are you people even bothering to play if you don't actually want to do anything? The laziness of people astounds me...
