Under rating threshold (show) Getting massive amounts of lag when the screen starts getting really busy (overrun with 0.5fps giants in wave 9, flawless score up to that point). My computer isn't too hot, but it should be more than enough for this sort of game. What's the deal?

Under rating threshold (show) this is a good game, but it could have been MUCH better, this could go from 3/5 to a 5/5 IMO with a few tweaks with the coins and other major things stated in the comments. this is one of those games that has alot of things really good and then there is the major faults that really drags it down. anyway, good game so i gave it 3/5!

Under rating threshold (show) A bit too easy, but I enjoyed it. People are not kidding about the last level. It is a grind 45 minutes of slaughter. Follow Krolan's advice for an easy win. I made one change, I put the ice wands on the first enemy row and the 4th enemy row with spikes on the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th. I had archers for the last 3. I beat it without even being hit or losing an archer.

Under rating threshold (show) Secondary points: I maxed the xp talent first, and ended the game at level 31. Freeze traps will set you up for the bonus fireball damage, which can be really handy if you just want to quick-switch a spell in between other things.

Under rating threshold (show) Maxed Champion first and had no problems rolling right through, picking up some helpful additions from the other trees. I managed to finish the last level with a full health base by sticking to the trap set-up that served me well through the levels. I liked to start by making two rows of Archers on the far right, then a row of either baracades or Knights (depending on how much money I had) to protect them. Filling in the rest of the space with solid spike traps, except for one row of freeze traps at the far left. Shotgun and Cannon make for a nice burst combo, basically just keep firing arrows and then switch over briefly to fire the Shotgun and Cannon when they come off cooldown. At max level, two rotations would kill me a Drake with no problem. Traps should be able to handle the ground troops at full build, otherwise keep some pressure off them with Cannon and Shotgun blasts. Once you have skill points for the Mage tree, toss in spells to take out enemies and to heal up your dudes

Under rating threshold (show) i get why ghosts don't attack barricades, but why not my people? makes them annoying since they have no counter. even an expensive one. Good game, no ending kinda sucks. also no plot. also it i'm spending 15 points in arrows. can you make them better than something else. even if its for single target its a waste late game. perhaps 250% vs flying instead of crit maybe, or in addition.

Under rating threshold (show) Awesome game!! Love all of the upgrades that are available, and the different tactics that can be deployed. I agree with the previous comments, as well, but the one thing that annoyed me was that I upgraded everything and still wasn't finished the game :( And still couldn't beat it!! I guess I'm just a skill tree junkie :p Keep up the great work, though :) I will try the tactic listed in Krolan's post - not giving up yet!

Under rating threshold (show) Alternate way to beat final wave of final level. Back row: 4 fully upgraded archers. In front of them: fully upgraded walls (replace as necessary, i only had to do it once). First row: frost traps. Everything else spikes. Use the cannon/shotgun alernation technique pointed out by tortnotes in his post to eliminate the elementals and dragons. I bought everything in the middle skill tree and mixed some arrows into my alternation to maximize damage. I beat the entire game only dying once using this technique, and got perfect scores on every level. Great game by the way. I'm not usually a fan of defense games, but this one kept me hooked for the whole hour and a half it took to beat. Loved every second of it :)

Under rating threshold (show) Switch between the shotgun and the cannon with the number keys while firing and you can put out a massive amount of damage. I've done well using spikes to kill the low-level enemies and this to kill everything big, along with a row of knights at my castle who don't do much.

Under rating threshold (show) Game comments: Knights are... pretty pathetic. Walls have much better defenses, and the damage from a knight just isn't enough to compensate for them costing five times as much. Especially when they die too quickly to deal much damage. Maybe give the knights a "shield" that blocks attacks randomly, or let them attack through walls, or something. Poison arrows don't do much. Archers are sweet, no question. But the poison doesn't really work as a "capstone of awesome" in the way that, say, Lightning does. Maybe give them access to the Champion's bow upgrades or exploding arrowheads or piercing shots or something. Know what would be awesome for the Sorcerer tree? A "rapid casting" skill that reduces the time to fire spells. I'd sink points into that ASAP.

Under rating threshold (show) Whew! A fun game, but some parts were annoying. Meta comments-- *Change the hotkeys, there must be twoscore comments about them. Instead of "tab" to switch between two sets of units, put the traps on one row and the weapons on another so that you can pick any of them with just one keystroke (so bow on "1," shotgun on "2," spike trap on "q," barricade on "w," etc). *Add an upgrade/trap/-something- that picks up coins. *Add a Final Boss. The last wave is kind of a letdown-- you build up your defences, you face hordes of enemies, dragons and orcs start pouring into the battle in a steady stream... And that's it. If I can handle one batch of two orcs and a dragon, I can handle fifteen. You need a capstone boss of some kind. *Do more with stars. List the requirements for each rank, put in some kind of a special shop (or secret levels unlocks). Heck, maybe make three "inside the portal" levels unlocked with stars and put the Final Boss on the last portal level.

Under rating threshold (show) Last level advice. Have the first 3 rows be all ice panels. Then have a row of walls (when you get money replace them with knights) and have all the other rows be full of archers. The archers are great for killing the exploding guys and ghosts.The first archers you place should be way in the back so they can be more selective in shooting fast targets (slow targets will get frozen and clump up).............Fastest way to kill dragons is ice ball then fire ball then quickly use cannon, shotgun and a few arrows...........If a few ghosts get near the castle wall don't be afraid to bust out the lightning.

Under rating threshold (show) The arrow/shotgun/cannon mix is awesome. Fun to switch between them frequently and tactically. Same goes for the fire/ice combo. A fun way to deal massive damage................ I am not a big fan of the little exploders or ghosts. Most of the enemies bunch up so AOE is the way to go but these single units take a long time to kill and have to be killed all by themselves. This forced me to get a row 4 deep of archers.

Under rating threshold (show) A very fun game...... Fairly easy all the way up until the last level which kicked my teeth in. But in a good way. Sadly most of the challenge came from the fact that the game is so blistering fast that I didn't have time to set up my defenses....... At first I thought the heal spell would heal all my guys. The fact that it has such a long wind-up and such a long cool-down means that it is very impractical and I was never able to use it that often. And even maxed out it doesn't fully heal and I can never tell which walls need fixing since they never repair visually.......... I like how there is only one type of air unit. The dragon. Way to often games have too many air or gimicky units and it takes away from the focus of the game (ground combat)........ I don't know how the pit traps work but they couldn't kill skeletons or goblins even when maxed out.........And it simply must be said. Only one loading screen. An easy to forget but great addition to the game.
