Ah, the leaderboard must be broken. That explains how I got the high score in hard and couldn't come close in extreme.

For the hard badge:
I used the right side of the Bad Pipe map. Takes up a lot of space
In a figure 8 make room for 9 towers. Couldn't figure out how to show it so I'll describe it
Make a circle out of 5 towers. At the top of these 5 is the Big Damage. Add the other 4 towers on top in the same fashion.
Each rocket will need to be in combo range of a Tazer and 2 Cannons. This combo mainly focuses on the nuke. The rockets will be closest to the action and you will max them out completely. The Tazers and Cannons only need to be maxed in damage.
This is roughly what my design looks like:
After maxing the first Rocket, I laid out my design. Leave room for each Big Damage. Max out the second Rocket followed by maxing the damage on 2 Cannons and 1 Tazer. Then I saved up for my first Big Damage Tower. Then max the other 3 remaining towers with damage only. Last, I put down the final 2 Big Damage towers on each side so each tower could benefit. Wave 155, $23515 left, 1528 kills. Easy to do.

If you play map "Lyne", fill half of map with lasers and upgrade only damage and rate. Lasers will shot to each other and makes super strong shoots ;D

You can speed up by going into the 'game', 'settings' and increasing the 'time factor' percentage. I've been playing for years and only noticed this morning!

I wish the instructions would give more information on forming combos. Since they didn't, you can follow this link and see all the possible combos, along with pictures of the turrets for those who don't want to work so hard as to put the name with the right turret. I recommend using the nuke first. The two cannons plus the rocket give a HUGE kill radius destroying everything. The two cannons also form their own combo with landmines for those units the nuke misses. http://onslaught.playr.co.uk/about.combos.html

If you want a tower to shoot in a certain direction, press D and it will slim the green circle in the direction your mouse it from it's base.

Great game but is shows its age. If the combo system was fixed, the main towers were rebalanced and the more useless towers were removed I would be happy to see an onslaught 3

Very imbalanced game, in my opinion. I beat the medium challenge badge simply by making one each of the basic 4 turrets next to eachother so they'd all combo with one another. Upgraded all to max weapons, then I'd just come back every five minutes or so to spend my money upgrading their other attributes and getting different enhancing towers. Took a ton of time, was very boring, very easy.

Hard game even after you learn the basics. I played, I learned, I worked hard, I had fun. I won the achievements on Kongregate, but after that there's no more end of a level. It's just fight until die. I really enjoyed playing this game but nowit's over. Thak you.

To get the $100,000 achievement really fast, go into the tutorial and click next until it says "Your first combo". Then click "Show Me" and the game will give you around $14,000 to spend. Spend all of it on damage, range, etc, then go back and do it again until you reach $100,000. Upvote so everyone can see.

we can handle one wave at a time just fine. 2 waves at a time, no problem. 5 waves at a time, easy as pie. 10 waves at a time, ramping up the difficulty. 11 waves at a time, dead.

My turrets seemed too powerful for 1 wave at a time, so i tried 2, they still seemed too powerful so i tried 5, and the enemies still died b4 they got on the screen so finally i tried 10 and then my laser missiles disappeared and a massive wave of enemies marched right into my base and didnt seem to take any casualties on the way. impatience ftw!
