Quick tip: You can speed up the game. Press 'G' and scroll all the way to the bottom, then slide the bar up to 200% for the fastest speed.
Now for all the people complaining that the game is too hard because your turret damage caps out: you need to learn how to use combos correctly. Believe me, I struggled with the 2000 kill achievement for ages before finally looking up combos. The method that worked fastest for me was having one blue turret and leveling the damage as needed for a one shot kill each wave. Then I kept a second blue beside it for backup. After I maxed the damage on the first turret, I finished the damage on the second blue to activate the land mine combo. Then I added random stuff from there, and just now got a game over at 3052 kills (Wave 308).

I had to take a 5 year break...This is definitely the best TD ever made (with gemcraft beeing second) Sad to hear the creator (Gaby) passed on..He/She was truely something remarkable.

If you play map "Lyne", fill half of map with lasers and upgrade only damage and rate. Lasers will shot to each other and makes super strong shoots ;D

the medium badge is glitchy or bugged or something, got to 1100 kills then it stopped counting even though i went to over 2000 kills total on the map.

Lucky! 1526 kills on xtreme right before the computer killed me - at wave 154, two waves just cruised on by, taking only 3-4% damage. Totally ridiculous!

To get the easy badge quickly, go into challenge mode after the tutorial and change the preferences to:
1 huge
Drunk
start with 3000
Easy Peasy
Unlimited Time & Turrets
Then just create a blue turret and rocket turret and max out all of their stats. No one should get by you for a while, then continuously make these 2 types and max their upgrades. Easy way to waste money.

To ensure that your turrets are close enough for a combo, move the turret you're going to place close to them. If the turret is close enough, the turret already placed will have a coloured circle light up around it.

Can't beat extreme. So far, I've died at 1233 kills (wave 127). At some point, my damage output just isn't enough, and my lazer rockets and other combos start failing.
Any tricks to it?

Build a rocket, and max it. Then buy a laser, and place it right next to the rocket. Max only the dmg on the laser. Enjoy the show.

upon replaying this game i found that my old methodology of a series of 5 lasers was not that powerful... by merely adding a rocket to the end of that stream of 5 (and of course maxing it for the combo), one can have an endless stream of circling rockets on the screen that shoot the super powerful beams that the end laser would have... its ridiculous

I was doing so well then a small weight dropped on my spacebar sending out 20 waves at the same time I died with one more needed for the medium badge

The turrets need to always aim at the enemy that's closest to my base within their range. It sucked watching enemies that were nearly dead cruise into my base while my turrets were shooting at enemies that had just entered the screen, all of them within range.

oh idk if people know this but you can speed or slow down the game up by going to the in game menu and going to settings and changing the time factor..

haven't checked the comments to see if anyone else suggested this, but it is very easy to get the spending limit for the reward points. skip ahead to message titled "combos", hit the show me button and you're given $14,500 to spend. just repeat the tutorial 7 times and you're done.

i started playing and saw a button on the bottom right corner (the wave timer) and clicked it and it made a funny noise so i started making songs with it duda duda dudaduda but then i looked a the screen and i was like oh s***!

If you want to win. Make a big laser chain in any level. I choose lyne. Then upgrade the first and last laser in the chain to max damage. Then add a rocket to the first laser and upgrade it's damage to the max. You should get rockets that shoot super powerful lasers. Once you get to 1000 kills add a fire rate + near the rocket and lots of big damage +'s near the first and last laser in the chain.

We should be allowed some sorte of action during pause. Either upgrade or build. At later stages, the game gets laggy and sometimes we can't build or upgrade the towers we need, ending up on losing the stage (or the highscore).
