So because of the way quick select sometimes chooses only one instead of two of the possible dice, the cautious AI attempted to bank at 200 points, prompting the message that 'you can't'. Thus, the round soft-locked. One could still quit to menu, but I thought it was amusing.

Tip: Quitting a game with the Quit button does not break a win streak. To get the badge, you can get any 100 badges of all 120. The award counter on the Hard badge is broken, so you should count your badges manually after a while.

Get pure zilches on your first game, check rules and scoring... and Bam! If you're going for achievements, you just earned 14 of them.

Easy badges - 292,972 awarded, Medium badges - 200,086 awarded, Hard badges - 9,560 awarded. Given this ratio, Greg, don't you think the Hard badge should be changed to an Impossible one, especially given that it undertracks your awards?

Might be a glitch, I get two Game Over messages when I lose the game. Or it could be because I am so bad at the game ;P

Seeing as you can't delete your own comments, I'd like to note that Realist is selecting one die and rerolling, which the player can also do- not getting the full score for both dice while taking one, which is what I was assuming. Feel free to downvote my prior comment.

Game does seem deceptively in favor of CPU. I was 7k in the lead with him rolling nothing but Zilch and then he was dropping 2k points instantly. I won with the cpu only 200 points short me. Fun game, but yeah something is fishy about the CPU.

To everyone who claims this game cheats. This is a game of probability, I've played this with actual die and yes you can get a ziltch with five die, its not common but possible. Now its also possible as I've seen once to get 10,000 or more on a single turn, also not likely but possible. If there is a probability of something happening then it will happen with enough chances.

"A dice game of great skill (and a little luck) where winning is all about knowing when to take the points and when to take a chance." That is a load of crap. More like a dice game of great luck (and a little skill)

The computer only seems like it's cheating because you don't understand what the word "random" means, and human brains are way pre-disposed to noticing patterns where there isn't one. This is why statistics exists, to tell you if what you are noticing is actually a pattern. If it's beating you but not all the people that voted it 4 or better, then there is one common factor in your losing all the time that you might not have noticed.

You don't have to click on the cards. If you've got a pair of ones or fives, you can click on the individual die that you want to keep. That's what the hardest AI does. It only keeps a single one or five in order to maximise the chance of a big roll next time.

Nice BoTD. Pick a game that hasn't worked correctly for years and will never get a update because the developer has passed. RIP mate.

OMG, turn on fast rolling. I was playing normally, grinding to get the medium badge, fooling around with the settings while Reckless rolled. My turn came with three rolls later I had over 3000 points. Yay badge. Reckless took his turn. For some reason he glitched and this little bubble kept popping up saying that he needed to select an amount before he could roll. It took him five minutes to figure it out, which is weird. After that I beat him by 8000 point as he just got zilch after zilch. I laughed so hard.

Reckless: Now now Mzhades, you're doing it all wrong! You get a 3000 like this...or this... this works too!... oh this is a good way... or you can just do it like this...
Me: All right all right I get it! *rolls* *takes single one* *rolls* ZILCH!
Reckless: You're still doing it wrong! It's like this...
Me: ARRRRG!!!

I can see why some people would say this game is rigged. Sometimes, it definitely feels that way. Then I score 3000+ points in one turn, catching up to the PC, and I decide I do not mind it being rigged.

Honestly, is it even possible to win against reckless? Every game I play against him the best I get is maybe 2 ones, and he gets a free roll and four of a kind nearly every turn.

I can't see this getting any attention this long after the game's release, but hey...I know you can quit out to get around this, but I don't think that meets the intention of the game. There are many unavoidable zilches, it seems at least one a game. Some are one 5 or 1 then nothing. There's not really anything to be done about those. But some are a bad string of single 5s where you can see it coming. I've had 3 unavoidable zilches in a row several times. It would be nice if there was a "fold" or "take a zero" button that didn't count as a "zilch". It maintains the "no cashing out below 300" while adding some amount of strategy to the gameplay.

my first achievement won't check off; i have banked 10,000 points, and it has not given me the easy achievement!!!! any reason why?

People, stop complaining that the dice are rigged. They aren't. Gaby even posted the source code and explained in a blog post how the CPU players work. You can find the links at the Kong wiki Zilch page. If you play long enough you'll see for yourselves that it's possible to get some of those wonderful rolls - it's just the luck of the draw.

I was offline for quite sometime. I didn't know Gaby had passed away. May he rest
in peace. But I still say the computer is a conniving cheat when in this game.
But dammit it's so addictive!

Some of you guys seem to have selective memory. Remember all the times that the CPU was getting bad rolls and you were getting really good ones? It's a random generator, the game isn't out to get you, I promise.

Getting even 2 consecutive Zilch free games seems completely impossible. This reminds me of Badge Outta Heck from Spore, which was impossible to achieve without modding.
