The enjoned the game a lot, but it has one disappointing aspect: The difficulty. The game starts with a fine balance, but then gets easier and easier. So the last level is the easiest mission in the game. Also the legendery mode doesnt seem to be harder. I played until leven 10 in legendery, then i realized, that is still much too easy.

Just finished the game, It was pretty easy, I just went pure assasin and buffed them with every skill I could , I maximed their health and dmg and then went for more start gold and gold generation, Which means you are pretty Immortal, Knowing the assasins cost only 14 have 25% chance to block and 10% chance to instantly kill ANY unit these guys are just perfect. On the last like 10 maps or so I could just spam 12 assasins In one line and then directly kill the enemy, Then It was just spam all other cash I was gaining on killing remaining units, I always survived on 100 health and killed the enemy In like 1:30-2:00 minutes, On the last maps.. So If you're wondering what to go for, Assasins are your best choice! I'm not sure when you unlock them , Might be second area but they'r light infantry so focus on getting it upgraded and work with other units till u get assasins, Then just upgrade them.

one of the best unit combos is shield maiden + border cav. sometimes using shieldbreakers or centurions as wave too, and having some units on the line already, you can also stack rangers. this is quite an easy way to pass it all

sorry for posting twice but for all those stuck on beserker lvl, use legeoneire, with a spear thrower and archer behind, it costly bu effective

-50% exp for replaying levels is understandable, but not in combination with 0% gain when you lose a level. In other words, please give me something for losing, or remove/lessen the penalty for replaying because I'm stuck on a level and need upgrades.

There should be a unique tag for games such as this - the type where you command units along lines across a battlefield. Would make them easier to find.

Library updates for units that defeat you are SORELY needed. I can score 100% on every level without blinking up to Brinewood, but using 4 strats, I can't pass it. Macemen buffed by captains, macemen with javelin backup, spearmen, legionarys... they tear through my men and heal at the same time, and I can't get a good grasp on their mechanics.

There are some slight balance issues. Guardsmen are one of the best units in the game, but are the cheapest. Archers cost more, yet 1 guardsmen can easily take down 1-3 archers (depending upon how good your shields are). Archers are supposed to be good in swarms, but the enemies will inevitably hack through the archers anyway. Besides, a swarm of guardsmen is even more effective. As well as cheaper, and doesn't get hacked to pieces as soon as the closest melee unit disappears. Archers should either be cheaper, or deal more damage, or both. Also I stop giving the enemy infantry attack bonuses vs. infantry. It ruins the strategy, give them attack bonuses vs. axes, or swords, or spears. That way there's some way to counter them.

How to not to lose a saved game:
Go to, on Windows XP c:\documents and settings\username\application data\macromedia\flash player\#sharedobjects,
and on Windows Vista/7 C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects.
Open SharedObjects and copy the folder you find there to the desktop. Do it regularly.
If you have lost your saved game, just copy the folder on the desktop and put it in the SharedObject folder. Your saved game is back.

Awesome game. Although, I'm confused with the comments. All I'm getting from the *Fight" switch is a black screen, I've tried different browsers, even different computers. It seems like all this game is, is just some black screen.

Get victory XP without finishing a stage: 1. first get the enemy down to 0. 2. Then let yourself get down to zero, but make sure you have the last unit on screen (create a guy later than the last guy coming down). 3. If you have done it right it will say "victory" but at the map screen you need to replay the level. Rinse repeat for faster XP gain.

For fighting Berserker at Swinebrook, use Guardsman first, Skirmisher for 2nd, and Helian Archer for the 3rd. Usually only the Guardsman that died, and the other 2 can kill the Berserker.
and for killing the Son of Khargat at Brinewood use Scout for 1st and Border Cavalry for the 3rd, since the enemy deal extra damage on infantry unit

what's the point of the first stat of lyonian lance if there aint any spear calv under ur command? Is the game missing a heavy calv unit or am I just missed something somehow? Anyway, scout need some kinda nerfing against scout rushing, perhaps a limit on number of a unit that can be spawn that refills over time. like start with 5/5 limit, and if it's below 5, it refills one every 10 sec so you can only summon 5-6 in one go.

For some peculiar reason whenever I try to play legendary mode I do not start with all units, but with no units at all, making the game bug out when trying to start the first battle. Regardless of this, the game was a clear 5/5. A little repetitive, but the many different classes provided longevity. Marine and scout cavalry is extremely useful, just a pro tip.

One thing that was a little bit annoying here was the general lack of cavalry units, both on our side and on the enemy side. There are about 8 gazillion different units that use spears and yet we have 3 total cavalry units, but more much more importantly 1/4 of our units are spear users despite the fact that the enemy really fairly rarely uses cavalry units. Also, due to the fact that 17 (18 maybe, since I guess the siege crossbow isn't infantry) out of our 20 units are infantry, it kind of makes it difficult to counter enemies who have +dam to infantry. Speaking of which, where the heck did the 'lancer' unit come from? I don't recall having it upon finishing the game, and yet now that I'm on legendary all of a sudden it's there. I think a heavy spear cavalry with deflect like that would have come in handy the first time around.

Hmmm can't defeat swinebrook because of the dual-wield axe guys. Can anyone who beat it tell me thier type and weakness?

Anyone who is stuck on the berserkers: Poison FTW. Use assassins if you have them. If not, scream in pain until you finally beat it D:

It would be so much better if the faster units could take over the slower ones! The way it is now makes the support units almost completely useless. Especially the ranged units: they are expensive (except the skirmisher) but weak and attack much slower then the melee units. If two ranged unit faces eachother that will effectively freeze that lane for a long time. The other support units rarely worth their price too becouse they are too expensive to support only that 2-3 units you can send before them and also they slow down your cavalery.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Assasin-like units are a real bother when the enemy have them, time and time again killing your most expensive units, but they are kind of worthless when I try to use them in the same manner: their poison hits so rarely and they fall so easily compared to their price. Whenever I tried to use them they just drained my always too few money!
Btw berserkers are so unfair - especially the stronger ones - as there is no porper unit to counter them!

A winning strategy on normal and legendary: spam marines with skirmishers right behind them. Late in the game, add shield breakers when affordable (and whenever you can do "Launch Wave"). To finish up battles as quickly as possible, spam siege crossbows to mop up the last of the enemies.

I agree with radar816 and others, units should be able to move past each other. It makes no sense for a guard, a melee unit, to have to wait on an archer, a ranged unit. It makes me have to worry more about production order than I should have to.
Anyway, I like the look and feel of the game. It's fun. :D
