The first boss on hard is difficult, but if you re-spec to speed up the winged bombers a couple levels and place two thunder globes, then two freeze rays, you'll be able to keep the boss busy long enough to take him out. I was level 11 when I did it, and I had to be really tight about point distribution. Level 11 is also about as high as you can realistically hope to get in the first six levels (this includes the hidden level)

I think the game would be better if you added the "slow enemies" skill to the main game frame, rather than having to access it through the options menu. A real oversight there.

they should have made the Gem Craft badges impossible instead.

the secret way for the medium badge is to get 5 stars on all the levels before the first boss, which open up the secret level, then beat that.

ohh and what vizuna said... incase you didn't see here it is - This game stinks. If you find it fun you need to see a psychiatrist. i 100% disagree... hes likke the only disliker of the game... he mneeds the psychiatrist not us

to get huge mantee badge its the guy with a red face on him in the 6th level (gold level) he sneaks out with arond 10 other big baloons though so keep your eyes opeeled

Second tip regarding the main gun: Level up damage, reload speed, shell speed and accuracy more or less at the same levels. Once reload speed is at 5, you can start adding in firing speed (i.e. reload 5, fire 1, reload 6, fire 2, etc.). This means you can completely ignore ammo capacity as your reload speed keeps you at full ammo. This in turn allows you to put points in other, better things. For non-gun skills, I like building armor first, then more support skills. A few points in balloon score gain are nice too, as are points in building speed. Save "start with more score" and "build price" to the end, as the savings don't justify the price. You'll always have enough to build. Good luck!

If anyone is looking for any tips, I've got a few. First, make liberal use of your support abilities in all 3 campaigns. For campaigns where you can build defenses, this allows your defenses to level up to the point that support is no longer needed. For the oil campaign, there's no reason not to spam support.

if you ask a flak 88 to destroy an airplane or tank sure no prob, take out some trucks easy but ask it to shoot a balloon and its reputation is soiled! lol

one problem with the in-game badges. if you earn a gold (for example, not a single bomb dropped) it doesnt award you with the bronze and silver.

One thing I don't understand is why bullets can't hit enemies that are in the line of fire. The game forces you to aim at the exact spot, and why this is so is beyond me.

Jeej, just won the elite campaign, takes a lot of time to complete all three.
I make first 3 oil rigs, then one thunder globe and then only freezin rays. Completed all levels so except the last, there I made 2 oils and then just spam as lot buildings as you can, isn't so hard with all upgrades ;-). When you start next campaign, you ca't recognise your gun, soooo slow :P

Since balloons are flying left to right and your missions have you constantly beeing pushed right, and you are on defense, doesnt that mean you are somehow losing after each battle?

I do get upset that the tesla towers don't do as much as you'd expect. They cost the most points, but the speed and damage are rather... meh.

although i know most people have probably noticed this, this game is very much like the gemcraft games. they are both similar in map layout, in-game badges, and upgrading. even made by the same group, game in a bottle.
however... for some reason i never got much into gemcraft. i found it repetitive. but i love this game. even after i've upgraded almost everything, i never get tired of calling in support or shooting tons of geometrical looking balloon designs into oblivion. great game, superb in fact.
most of my comments usually end with a small complaint or suggestion, but the only thing i have left to say is i'm disappointed there's not more to play. 5/5. excellent job

I found that the impossible achievement is more long then hard. I am on fuel of war atm almost have it, but it has been 3 days so far. 5/5 loved it first 2 plays now third time its 4/5. :)

Whoever taught these hot-air balloon guys how to fly is pretty darn pro. They have amazing pitch and speed control! Dropping like rocks and stopping on dimes.....

I just have to give this game a 5/5. The graphics are beautiful, the difficulty modes are actually equal to how difficult they should be, not just 2 easy modes and one insanels impossible mode. And its refreshing to see a game that has 2 extra modes, for when you beat the game, giving it even more length, without pushing added features on the player. And the experience system is amazing, given the fact that you level up based on how well you do. lus, you are given power-ups right off the back, and while they do cost points, they really help in a pinch, and you might be given a medal if you use a power-up enough times. Absolutely amazing.
