I'm disappointed that they added the "option" to pay for "more skills and battle settings". In reality, they took away some of the skills and "modes" that were in previous games, and will only give these things back if you pay for it. Take a look at the skills and battle settings that are limited to Premium - a lot of them are oddly familiar to previous game skills and modes that were ALWAYS available.

@WraithofCERBERUS - the game saves automatically, but some setting on your browser is deleting it. Lots of them clear saved data as their default setting, so you'd need to find that option and change it (think it'll be under privacy/security in most browsers).

It took me forever to figure out the skills page comes up when you're going into battle. This is poor design; it should be on the map page.

People don't ask for badges just rate well and the game will get them. Besides a gemcraft game without badges is like a final fantasy game were the guys look like guys.

Prismatic Gems (8 colors in one gem) were actually removed in this game, it's therefore a bad idea to go beyond pure/dual/triple (1-3 colors).

Ways to grind as much XP out of many levels based on what you can get out of them (once you are high on a level enough to revisit): max setting on monster amount & hit points next to high banishment cost, raiding tombs, building 10 towers and 5 amplifiers, destroying nests, creating grade 6 gem, summoning 60 monsters to get score multiplied (I use grade 3 or 4 at most), build 2 shrines, 10 towers, 5 amplifiers while only having them around two towers with gems as high as you’re allowed to go, and get 100 or even 200 kills and sending in waves really early. All this will guarantee ten thousands of xp on the first few levels. If you're struggling to progress if all the levels have been squeezed out of as much xp (too many swarmings to fend off or have to deal with giant that instantly wipe too much mana, set the monsters to armored only to eliminate them and take advantage of the wild gem that makes a world of difference. One of very few games I still come back to every now and then, simply because it is fun and easy to get hooked on.
Still need to get to the center, though.

Dear Chrome users who have lost their save: go to your plugins and disable Shockwave Flash 11.6 r602. Reload the game and your save will be back. Also, make backups of your save files. If you don't know how to do either of these steps, google them. :)

The wizard struggles to keep the monsters away from the orb, so he builds many towers with magical gems instead of just blocking the path to the orb
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hm, If I place a tower here, it can block the path for the monsters to reach the crystals!
Actually, nah let me just give the monsters a chance.

CooperKon, you can't get wave 100 challenges without premium, but it is possible to get all the other challenges done. Yes 7000 monsters are a lot, but then you can anger so you'll get that many if you do it a lot.

Sad day when you have to renew your computer and all of your data on gemcraft is gone. All the other flash games too, but this one (and the whole series) has a HUGE amount of time and effort that you put in to get to the end.

Great game indeed. One of the best games on kogregate ever. I play it periodically - after a year or so I always return. Unfortunately, my saved data always got lost. It would be great to improve the way this game saves data.. save it on my computer, generate a code.. anything.. just do not let it on players (some of us do not undestand IT). Saying "search with Google for local shared object" is like "Hey, I made the whole game myself, if you want to save your progress, search for instructions using Google." Saving is really important part of any long-lasting games and it is a great help to players who return, because most of us can´t play nonstop 365 days in a year. Still, 5/5.

Endurance maxed. 3,333,333,333 hit points each creature. Gem level 22 and 8 amplifiers with triple damage, chain hit and mana gain. I can play literally till infinite...

Never get tired of "placing tower, placing gem in tower, mixing gem, upgrading gem, placing amplifier, placing gem in amplifier, mixing gem in amplifier, upgrading gem in amplifier, winning level, another level..." =] It's just so addicting isn't it??? O.o

giant monsters usually enjoy having swarm right behind them since the swarm is insanely fast it acts as a shield for the giants cuz most of thee time swarm is gone be in front of the giants.

How the heck did string97bean get to 53,972 for his Wizard level? The other day he hit 27k and I thought that was weird. 3 days later he has double the amount of XP of the 2nd place player all time!!!!?!
Is it a hack or something?

1) Rise wild gem to te maximum. 2) Rise up triple gem mastery to the max. 3) Rise up multiple damage, chain hit and bloodbound/mana gain (depends on what do you preferr, for me its better bloodbound). Once you have this attributes, it will be very very easy to gain fast exp. Put every setting as difficult as possible, and begin in field G-7, you will win for these first battles like 50-60k/battle if you do things properly. After you get lvl 150-200 it will very easy to beat everything (7000 kills, 100 waves, etc...) Enjoy!!

Very good game with several additions from the previous Gemcraft games. You can play it for an hour or two, but then it gets a bit repetive, however, I find it interesting again the next day. So maybe it's a game with too many stages, I don't think so, you just don't need to take them all at once people ;)
The only thing I don't like in the game is the premium stuff..

@Rannen It's for endurance mode. After about 120+ waves, red starts to lose the edge that it has with lower levels when it comes to attack power. The reason why people say that Lime/Yellow/Orange is the best is when it is put in a trap and it is surrounded by six amplifiers, the specials are boosted extremely. By grade 9 or 10, I (I'm a premium 30 something) have a gem with 100% 5x damage (Yellow), 100% chance to hit 5 targets (Lime), and ~4x whatever my mana multiplier is. The Y/L/O Combo is better than using red with anything because the multiplier isn't dependent on the kills, plus you start getting flooded with mana at "high" levels (100+)

Another Gemcraft game, another week of distractions. Loved the series, and this game is an even better example of its previous games. I liked how the developer listened to what the people wanted in the game, like getting to choose a gem colour and make that colour gem without getting another colour, like in the previous games. A great effort put into this, and a lot more levels...D: 5/5

Same issue here. "This build of Gemcraft lost chapter: Labyrinth can only be played on Kongregate.com
Please visit the site to play this game."
