Under rating threshold (show) Loved the original and was so happy to see a sequel, Half way through it. I'm glad to see a level selection part. I have to agree with some of the comments that insanity is quite rare to get, which i feel is ashame. As Hp Lovecraft was all about insanity. Would love to see a level skill point system, where the player can choose how to make certain cards more potent. ( Increasing taint, increasing insanity, increasing human card powers, unlocking certain cards going down certain skill path routes ) But great game otherwise !

Under rating threshold (show) i feel it need challenges like the first one. I finished this one way to fast. the sanity needs to be fixed , more like the first, it just became such a non-factor now also though the great old ones was cool i hardly ever saw em and you really can't use em to your advantage like in the first. Also Im not sure how i feel about not being able to stack things like tomes and such.

Under rating threshold (show) An amazing game, with plenty of improvements from the already good original. The cards were great and I found the opponents to be quite challenging. If you plan to make a next one, I think giving it something of a storyline would be great, as well as a return of challenge mode, but regardless, this game is a 5/5.

Under rating threshold (show) I enjoyed getting new cards like in the first one. Still a really fun game. I would love to see factions you could choose from and start as if you make a sequel. Each faction could have their own cards and characters and locations. Plus you could make a story and gain new knowledge about Cthulu as you defeat opponents and gain new cards. Thanks for keeping Cthulu alive!

Under rating threshold (show) Way, way too many useless cards. So many times I end up with a hand full of cards I simply can't use. This version has too many different types of cards, slots and such and a counter card for each one? Meh, so many garbage cards I have to wade thru just go get the ones I'd rather have : (

Under rating threshold (show) I really miss the multiple and random effects of sanity loss from the original game, always unpredictable (that's the meaning of insanity!). You never knew what could happen, and, best of all, you had to adapt your gameplay to the different obstacles if you want to survive. This game is not the same without that "chaos factor"...

Under rating threshold (show) In an ironic twist of fate, I beat Nyarlatothep (Remember this joker from the Curse of Nyarlatothep mission in the original? That mission was a pain in the neck.) by having him go insane via Yog'Sothoth /w Miskatonic. He then killed himself. More like Curse of RACEBANDIT!

Under rating threshold (show) There are some interesting new concepts here, but the fact that sanity is no longer a real concern keeps this sequel from being as good as the original. Consider making players pay 1 sanity each turn for every creature they control after the first and increasing the sanity cost of cards that apply a taint.

Under rating threshold (show) Boring.. too easy.. ugly graphics.. cards are unreadable so you have to click on each card then read what it does. all cards look same too.. should have made all the different types of cards a different color to make them easier to distinguish. Very little strategy in the game.. too much luck based on the cards you get.. You can't make your own deck of cards.. Sorry but there really isn't anything good about this game and i don't understand why the rating is so high either.. It's not even fun.

Under rating threshold (show) The game is a rough start, but then the S's start coming in like crazy. You should consider rescaling this so it doesn't scare away new players before they have figured out how to play.

Under rating threshold (show) How about putting us on the select screen vs into the start of a match when we choose to "play game"? Also, if I replay a match (maybe because I am forced to by choosing to "play game") and I get an unlucky draw and end up getting a score lower than my current (ie I had an S, but forced to replay and got a D due to an unlucky draw) why does my rank downgrade? The standard is to keep your highest rank obtained during a level.

Under rating threshold (show) I liked the game. Just a bug suggestion to discuss. The Wilber Whateley card does not cause the opponent to have to have at least two taint. A remove taint action by Eldar Thing card removes Wilber's effect for the rest of the game. And I also may have missed it, but is it possible to go back and play a previous level you didn't score to highly on?

Under rating threshold (show) I've been waiting a long time for this sequel, and I'm so glad it's finally here! Some things I love about this game include: The wide range of cards now available, the amazing artwork (if i do say so myself ;) ), the achievements and the new level select and ranking system. However, I believe the game could be vastly improved with 2 small features - when loading the game, it should go to the level select screen, instead of going straight into a match. The other feature is the card library. I miss this feature from the first game, where you could view the entire list of cards in the game with ease. Another thing I miss is the ability to unlock cards as you play through. I really enjoyed playing with a limited deck at first and then expanding it as i progressed through the game. However, I thoroughly enjoy this game, and well done for managing to create another masterpiece! 5/5, and favourite!

Under rating threshold (show) I like the star thing and be able to play more monsters (but defensive one are almoust of no use maybe to give them counterattacking as in necronomicon 1 & 2 but for monster attack) more cards woold be nice eaven with no deck building but when finaly got insane (in first level me and 2. or 3. enemy) later it becamed impossible i found that there is xenophobic, megalomania, agoraphobia and other just for this one give 4/10

Under rating threshold (show) I really like the sequel! It makes the game much more tactical and fun, especially with the 4 monster slots. My only complaint has to do with the sanity thing, I liked the old rules around sanity better. But still, amazing game 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) This is the first time I play this game and I can't bear playing anymore.. The card system is TOO RANDOM. There is no consistency in card types and namings. Monsters, magic, and then... bulletproof vest!?!?!? What a pain.

Under rating threshold (show) What the hell happened here? Necronomicon 1 was a fun little game, full of flavor and reactive cards. All of that has gone. Sanity, one of the best aspects of the first game, is totally unimportant. Creatures are now the same as Taint, i.e. damage every turn; there's never any reason not to drop your biggest guy into play and attack with it every turn. Why the extra superfluous clicks to attack? There's almost no point in not attacking, so why make the player click around to attack, rather enabling an option to STOP attacking, when The King In Yellow is in play? Slots for 2 attackers allows lucky draws to crush an opponent, and defending is virtually worthless. Diversifying the cards into different types just reduces possible card interactions. What's the use having an Assassin if your opponent only has a Tome and a Location? To cap it all off the music, while atmospheric, is on a loop so short is grates after very little time. I cannot tell you how dissapointed I am with this game.
