I know everyone shares a hatred for lvl 10, but I figured out a way D:
just cut the tentacle close to the organism that your shooting from, the cut off tentacles will gain speed.

Excellent. Very creative twist on the "Phage"-type genre. One of my favorite genres now has a great new mechanic to be copied into oblivion! Sequel please!

Great game. It will be great if Tentacle Wars 2 comes out. And different bacterias which you can choose looking at their stats in the beginning.

Quick team trick : lvl 17 : hook up cell#1 and #2 to cell#3 when they all reach 16 units then extend the cell#3 to the enemy by repeatedly cutting and extending cell#1 and#2 tentacles. As cell#3 extends the cells occupancy goes to 0 but by repeatedly sending units from #1 and #2 the cell#3 puts more into its tentacle.

One of the few games that I will actually replay again and again. I found it very simple to learn, but so incredibly fun to play! A tip for the future, though:
Some levels are unbeatable unless you attack first.
Some levels are unbeatable unless you upgrade (evolve) first.
Some levels can be beaten either way.

Quite aside from the need for more/better tutorials, the fact that the main colours are Red and Green makes this game near-impossible for colourblind people like me! shame, I like the game.

i don't know if someone has noticed, but when you connect a tentacle to a cell you push it a little back,a great way to realizeit is connecting various tentacles in the same side of a cell and then restarting, that cell will be a little far from it's starting position
this tip can help a little on zone 17,pushing the right cell even more to the right,it will put it more close to the enemy cell

still no badges? .. usually i am not one of those asking for badges .. but "4.24 of 18,256 ratings" & "Game Plays: 507,982" should be enough i guess.. well, nevertheless the best (and most working) flashgame site i know.

The game gets easy when you understand the system. You need to feed weak cells with your strong ones, and when they ge as strong feed the main cell again. You repeat this and get better than your opponents. Also, level 17 isn't that hard, all you have to do is wait a bit with teh tentacles connected to the cell to the right, and then send on tentacle to the far away cell and keep cutting and attaching tentacles to it.
I don't have 2 of the achievements and have no idea how to get them.

Definitly needs a proper in-game walkthrough; I went all the way through to level 10 without even knowing I could cut away lines >.>
Good game, but this is so bad.

A game with a good concept, executed well. My only problem with it is that it is almost impossible to tell how long the tentacles are. A number next to the tentacles saying how many cells are in the tentacle would be awesome. Still 5 starts though.

Really interesting bug: When you send a tentacle to another cell, the cell that you sent the tentacle from moves back slightly. By creating and the cutting tentacles, you can very slowly move cells to a new area (around walls, for example)

Mybe the best abilitie of the tentacles is that it's not sending the troops from his cell, a tentacule send an unit THEY create. That's very important because then if u multiply your tentacules, u can send 2 or 3 more troops, and then the game become 2 time easyer

It took me ages to find out that one high level cell can be used to pump up the surrounding low-level cells without any cost for the high level cell, since energy transmitted across the tentacles is "free". Unimaginable for a nanowar-like player like me. This game definitely needs a tutorial.

The really important thing to note is that a tentacle can be grown longer than the power limit for a cell if you're tricky - choose which tentacle you want to send the long tentacle from, send tentacles from some other friendly cells to that chosen cell. Draw the tentacle toward your target, then as your unit count in the tentacle gets low, cut off one of the feeder tentacles at the source - all the units in that tentacle will add to your main tentacles count, allowing the attacking tentacle to go further. Important knowledge for level 17.

I thought 10 was easy soon as i found out about cutting.
19 Took me a while, but i managed it in the end, wish there was some sort of random level generator, i had loads of fun playing this.

Level 17, chain the two far ones to the closest one. Wait for them to fill up to 16. Send the closest 16 to the enemy and cut one of the chains to feed the closest one, re-chain after cut, repeat with the other one and so forth. If you do it correctly, you can extend all the way out there and take it.

Level 10 is easy if you ignore the ant (big guy)... quickly conquer the spore then the embryo (attach and cut), then you have it made. In fact, you don't even need to conquer the ant to win.

How do you get Quick Victory? I've finished a level in less than 30 seconds and still didn't get it, what does it take?

can't wait till number 3 i suggest the new colour for number 3 should be yellow or blue and that there should be a new evolution from predator [+] if u agree
