Has it ever occurred to anyone that these Freaking awesome Orbital bombardment Stations, might be vulnerable from SPACE???
I mean...these guys that we are shelling the shit out of came on spaceships... So shouldn't we consider some Warships to attack us and Not nuclear missile silos?
What's guarding us from being rammed by a Cruiser? Obviously NOT our shields!

Pretty solid game, but the upgrade mechanic needs work. If you don't focus on a few weapons, you lack the power to kill baddies. If you do focus on a few, the rest rapidly become totally useless. I am also not a fan of the game forcing me to buy and upgrade a specific new toy. It's easy enough to save my points until I can upgrade what I'd like again, except sometimes it locks me out for several waves at a time.

Would be great except for a few (but probably fixable) points.
First, as others have already pointed out, no permanent upgrades! This is horrible.
Second, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how upgrade points are awarded. Sometimes you get them after a wave, sometimes you don't.
Third, the structure of the upgrade system is kind of crappy. Some upgrades are worthless (e.g., armor reduction) and some can't be purchased until after you really need them.
Finally, the underground sections where vehicles can hide are kind of annoying (i.e., not fun).
As a small suggestion, how about a hotkey toggle autofire for the cannon?

The hard badge should really be an impossible. You get next to no energy so no attack you can do will have any good force to it, combined with the fact that the enemies in survival are exceptionally strong, even if you compare it to some of the later missions on hard mode, except you got 25x or more energy throughout the campaign. 2/5.

i truly hope whoever designed this upgrade system is in one of the tiny yellow vehicles that are destroyed in one hit

It felt like there was a good new control mechanic being play tested and that's it, Flesh it out with a persistent upgrade system and a larger map set as well.

You be absolutely right about that Kryc... best I ever got to was wave 9 and that's all she wrotr, boyo! lol Ususally make it to 8 on normal ok, but can't get past 3 on Hard. Still figuring out the right weapons/strength combo.

There is a way to not even have to buy a new weapon. When the game tells you to buy a new weapon, open the purchase screen, and close it without buying anything. If you can destroy the practice target with your other weapons, it'll stop asking you to upgrade your weapon. That said, most of the weapons in the game are necessary to win. The only weapon I didn't buy was the armor-remover, and I was playing on normal difficulty.

Could be a good game, but lack of persistent upgrades makes it really start to suck after about 3 levels. Hint: It's not about you telling the users how the game should be played, but about how the users tell you how it should be played. Seriously, you've got a good concept here. This could be a 5 star game if you would just listen to your users. Right now I'm rating 3, because I hate starting with nothing every level. Go play Protector or Don't touch my Gems for a way that persistent upgrades do work. Towers can be built at level 1, and upgraded, that's fine. But once a technology is earned, don't take it away.

The upgrade system is horribly implemented. It's simply not fun to receive upgrades at arbitrary times and only to be able to upgrade what you want us to upgrade.

I get the logo and then a dark blue frame.
I'm on the latest Flash (installed this morning) and the latest Firefox.
BotD fail.

This would be a good game if not for the shitty music, bad spelling, and a whole bunch of instructions that somehow fail to point out why upgrades aren't permanent.

Commander: Capture enemy bases!
Sodier: But sir! There is a... uhh... gigantic cannon-and-other-highly-dangerous-weapon-wielding spaceship! I say, let's shoot it down using our nuclear missiles!
Commander: Missiles? NO! Send out our cars! Why do we need to settle to missiles if we have unlimited amount of cars that allow that ship to gain points - ehm - energy every after wave?

not bad, but not that good either. i think it is overdeterminated in many aspects, limiting the possible choices and tactics. you overall have to play every level according to the developers set up for it, making it boring after a few levels. wold be better with: persistent upgraded, energy based on your outcome on previous levels, less limitations in number of weapons placed on the battlefield, less limitation in upgrade choices. rating: a weak 3/5

If upgrades were cumulative and lasted throughout the whole game, then this game would be much more appealing. Otherwise, there isn't much incentive for replaying older levels. I would give a 4/5 for now.

Game doesn't load. Just black screen. Tried turning off ad block, switching browser, restarting computer, and uninstalling and reinstalling flash player. Anyone else figure out how to get it to load?

Was having fun, even without getting to keep my upgrades (which is annoying), but then the game stuck coming out of the upgrade menu and I couldn't use any of my guns - just watch while all the vehicles slowly killed me.

The "Hard" badge should be impossible. Just look at the success rate, the amount of difficulty added to the boring gameplay and frustration compared to just 30 points doesn't add up. If you wanted a hard badge wave 10 woulve been fine. Thanks Kong (and Greg?) for, yet again, botching the badge rewards and screwing your users over. Game itself: 4/5

The music made me laugh: at first I thought it was Ride of the Valkyries, then it turned into something entirely different. Next, I thought it was the theme to Star Wars in the intro, but nope.
