Some stats (mostly core stats) have both prefix and suffix versions, to increase possible combinations. This also means it's possible to find a blue Deft Lantern of Dexterity with double the stat bonus.

Wish I could upgrade my skills - Ive got them all and now just stuck on leveling stats :P fun, but not as fun as it could be. Thanks!

needs items that increase item drops or quality at about -20%of the stats of the reg item of the am tier, make them purple, then have on with +20%, with a increase to both qaul and drop, and make that artifact and super hard to get

Game got stupidly hard, can't even go back and farm. lvl 7 stats are 10-20x high for the mobs then your heros. Having 4v6 with them having stats of a lvl 20 is not fun.

@Anoneemous You actually can do a bit of character customization, you can't change genders, but you can change the name, title, skin color, facial features, visible armor, and portrait, or you can make a custom portrait all by clicking the gears at the bottom right of the character whilst in the inventory screen.

Would be great to rearrange your customized bags, since even with selected rarity filters, it put loot in "first-come-first-served" order... so, if you later buy a bag, and want to put more valuable stuff into it, this won't happen, since an "earlier" bag with filters for common and useless lott will take those. While it's not utterly hard to reset and set your bags from scratch, it's quite annoying in sense how easy could be to implement some ordering or rearranging for those bags. Small annoyance, but still.

Actually you can customize your characters; in the character screen there's an icon that looks like overlapping gears. It can customize you portrait and the look of your character.

Holy crap, its been years since I played this game series. Garin, I have to say thank you, this was the first game that made me want to play DnD, this started the first adventure, hope you never stop trying to get the next game even better.

You should add a change of gender in the customization of characters. We would like to have some female mages and thieves!

At first I was disappointed with this game. Then I realized it is not a direct clone of previous MD games. When I stopped playing it like MD1 and MD2, and started playing it like MDC, it got a lot better.

It still astounds me how much more you could jam into this game. A developer would have to be creative and passionate about their game to include something as simple as naming and coloring your bags. I think I liked the inclusion of subclasses and achievements the most. It helps to have some goals.

You don't have to pay for campaigns IV and V, on the campaign selection screen there is a button at the bottom right you can use to switch between the 2 pages.

Shield Wall does not last long enough. Having it removed after action makes the skill almost useless for a tank. Or at least not very useful. One has to get lucky that your tank's turn will come up at just the right time, so that the enemy group will take the majority of their actions just after you put the Shield Wall up, and not after his next turn comes about. I think it should last at least 2 turns of the tank who cast it, and be removed ONLY if that tank takes an action other than passing his turn.

Forcing you to equip an item before enhancing could be a balance mechanic. If there was no required equipping, you could just apex forge an item to tier 100 and then spirit guide it so anyone could equip it.

Great work folks, this is a HUGE improvement on a good series. I pretty much love every single change you have done. Thanks for all the hard work!

Always remember to get the sorcerer and a medic to battle. Sorcerer can spawn golems who tank enemy damage and also they deal some dmg as well. Medic surely can ensure the survival of the team with right abilities (like heal all)

Just want to add to the pile of comments about the auto-leveling mobs. It's not just that the mechanic is unexpected, or even that it makes it hard. It makes it BORING. Part of the thrill of RPG's is that rare, but oh so sweet, reward of things all the sudden becoming easier. And then, before boredom sets in, moving on to a harder area. That on top of being able to revisit old areas to grind, or just to show-off to the mobs, and getting to choose how the game feels at different moments. Now it just feels... flat.

I'm keeping track of how often I "miss" a 95% or higher attack. After just under 400 such attempts I'm at a 70% hit rate. Either the RNG is screwed up, or it HATES me.

The Renowned Dungeoneer Badge made me lol a bit. Get 600 renown? So then, it's an achievement that you get for doing enough achievements.

loot seems so much worse than previous iterations..looks great visually, lots of improvements all around...but halfway into first map on act two and ive still yet to find upgrades for most of the beginning white equipment.

@ souicia No, its an old school dungeon crawl where you need both strategy and tactics. Free health/power refills are a modern thing, and make a game much easier/simpler, which is not always a good thing.

Ghouls are probably the worst enemies in this game, or at least one of the worst. Very fast turn speed ( I used cold front on one twice, and it still went right after my mage + his shadow ) and bleeding, as well as just overall good damage.

In case anyone missed it, Monster's Den: Godfall is out! It's way to big to put on kong, but it's well worth downloading

I think 2 handed swords should have a smaller quickness penalty than 2 handed axes and spears. This is to make up for them having less damage, and not having armour piercing bonuses. And also, swords are lighter than axes, and they're easier to wield quickly and skillfully because of the better balance. 2 handed swords admittedly are still pretty heavy, but they should at least have a smaller quickness penalty. Maybe -2 or something.

Skitzo, you do realize you can save this game to your hard drive? How is that a "bad saving system"? It is by far one of the best savings systems i have seen on flash games.

If there's one thing I dislike about Monster's Den games, it's that I spend twice as much time comparing loot drops as I do in battle.

This is one of my favorite games on Kongregate. Detailed art, intriguing campaigns, and incredible game mechanics. Well done, garin, 5/5!

1. The two clerics make a powerhouse combo. The inquisitors retribution is the highest damage to single target. Right now my inquisitor has about 1500 health. If he's low and annointed his retribution will deal about 2625 damage. Afterwards, the other cleric can instantly heal him to full health with intercession. 2. Another powerful combo is the marksman's wall of arrows and thief's buff(which increases accuracy and gives crit chance). 3. Mages are underpowered, the marksman's poison attack will get a lot more damage per point of intellect than any of the mages skills. 4. Never use wraithstones, If the enemy has 50% missile protection and 50% magical protection and you hit them with a wraithstone bow it will only do 25% damage. 5. Spark of Legends are definitely the most valuable item in the game, use Artifier's solvent to save them. 6. Try to avoid lower difficulties as much as possible, your team gets more experience from lower difficulties but less loot.

-Not well documented: you can drag a Glow dust on your items and then use the disenhancer's sponge to remove the Glow dust from the slot, but the glow actually still.

I sincerely wish that the Possessor would get launched into outer space and drift around there, eventually getting stranded on some old comet.
