Well it's 4 am, I'm sleepy, and I've been playing for like 7 hours so I decided to make a full retreat at wave 133 (my lvl 45 team was fighting lvl 58 stuff) to go to bed. I think I could have pushed passed 200 easily but it's just too time consuming. I was using 30% protection potions on everything and lowest defense was my warden at 67% dmg reduction but it probably didn't matter based on the damage I was taking anyways. 202752 gold and 26 pocket thingies. Would take a full day of playing to push to limits but that's so exhausting and I don't feel like leaving my PC on overnight ;S

Well 2X warrior and 2X cleric is defensive but it's not the only defensive team you can build and it honestly sounds a little boring. Eventually you will be able to collect enough gear and sparks but for a really long time you are also going to have a hard time gearing with such little diversity. I prefer a defensive formation that has a warrior in center front and a confessor cleric in center back. Then you use 2 support/dps on the right and left of the cleric. With guard giving those 3 in the back +20% dmg reduction and radiance hitting 3 things on your side you can have an effective/defensive composition. I've been using conjuror and warden as my other 2. Back up heals/rez and conjuror is decent dmg (also the 2 golems up front is really good).

So I finished Act V by killing the brain/controller beastie, and the end text said that I failed by being 'too resilient' and I don't have the achievement. Did I miss something?

The most difficult for me was Guerilla.
My method is two cleric, the warrior (Captain) and the wizard (Sorcerer).
All characters have epic equipement. Health Regeneration is important. The wizard have Ignite on weapon. The wizard have a ring with -10 spell cost. If you have the whole set for the wizard, Omniscence, it's another -20 spell cost. The cleric have the ring with health bonus. The cleric have the biggest epic shield with mace. The warrior have a pole. All of them have items that have Health Regeneration.
Every wave I try to do Holy Light once with the cleric and use Lightning Storm like crazy and sometimes Fireball. The warrior was there to help mostly, remove mental curse if necessary, etc. The wizard was the main attacker. The others were secondary and only attack with the primary attack because it cost less power.

this game feels unnecessarily long like the game itself is not long but just going through the store trying to equip weapons and there upgrades seems i don't know like monotonous its a great game i spent the last 3 hours playing it my guys are equipped to the fullest which took me most of that 3 hours i would say 20 to 30 mins was actually playing the game the rest was equipping my guys looking at armor and weapon stats so to break it down for every 10 minutes u spend equipping your guys you get 1 minute of game time but Great game just simplify it a bit more!!!

I guess it's expected that I lost my save after a cpl years heh, but I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't show that I already bought the premium content. I wanna play again now!

to get the death maker badge get a mage and when you get a chance to upgrade your powers choose the fireballs. Then use the fireballs on two people that have low health. Hope this helps...

It's easily possible to get the Badge of the Day in the first fight(s). Choose beginner difficulty to make it easier. Make sure you have Ignus, the Sorcerer Mage, and Parthian, the Marksman Ranger. Search for battles with Acolytes (the red hood guys) and make sure there are two enemies above each other in the Initiates grid (on the map). If you're lucky, one of the Acolytes will summon a Voidstalker (creepy black creature) that is a one-hit-kill with at least the Mage. Weaken two enemies that are standing in a row (horizontal) until they are damaged enough to make a double-kill with the Marksman's Pierce skill. -> Badge of the Day done | Tips: Kill all enemies unneccessary for the badge first. Optimally you just have a row of two left, whereas one of them is an Acolyte. There is a Pass Turn button on the bottom right (hourglass icon) if you're just waiting for the Voidstalker or the Marksman's turn.

When you think its too easy or too hard, you can tweak the diffilcuty a bit for your liking...Yep, thats why i love it - if you choose hard, it becomes challenging and fun, while if you choose easy, it becomes somewhat boring, but still fun. Goods on the sequel you will make. Compared to Book of Dread, this game has its goods and bads. The GUI is less informative in Chronicles, while in BoD its better. The shop can be accessed at any time, not only by using scroll/special item from the store itself. Well, deserves a 4 like previous series. Unique gameplay is main reason why i like them.

ZagrajmyTeam, you are most like very new to Monsters den. Well, let me explain: Monsters den is the kind of game where just the wrong setup, party combination, and wrong moves can completely screw a team over on a moderate difficulty. From level 1 to 50, you gotta plan ahead with the equipment combination and skills so that you can beat each enemy. Not even backtracking makes the game any easier, save for killing enemies and leveling up faster (one floor=one opponent level. Start level based on avg between party members).

Too bad game isn't being maintained anymore; it coudl use some quality of lif efixes; the 4th act fight should have your heroes return to their base positions after each battle. I have to quit one now because the 5th round boss pushed two of my guys to the back row, and without the one warrior with reposition skill, ther'es no way to get your guys back into place.

Ever have one of them moments when you felt like the world's biggest idiot? I've been playing the game with one party member and wondering why it was so hard. Upvote to help the other unfortunate souls.
