I am a level 56 user on Kongregate. I’ve been here since 2008, and I’ve played countless games here. One summer, I went to the badge list and played every game that was there, starting with the oldest. I got a lot of easy and medium badges, and even a couple impossible ones.
You’re probably impressed, right? You shouldn’t be. I’m just a guy who plays a lot of games. But I can tell that you are. Somehow, I have over 100 fans. I don’t chat or post on the forums much, so I haven’t met most of you, yet here you are.
So, I figure I might as well put my seniority and knowledge to some use. You’re here because you’re bored, right? Browsing through peoples’ account pages when you could be playing a game or something.
Over the years, I’ve worked on crafting my favorites page in a certain way. I don’t just put any old game there: I seek out hidden gems or unusual works, the sort of thing you don’t see every day. If you take a look there, you might find something you wouldn’t have found otherwise.
If that isn’t enough, I’ve also started writing little reviews for each of the games. I plan to be a professional game maker someday, so I figure I can get started by analyzing the games I play. And I figure, why keep it to myself? Maybe someone would be interested in seeing my reviews.
Check out the Intro first if you want to know what games you might find there, how things are ordered, and what I mean when I say “Type 1, Type 2, Type 3.”
All right, that’s more than enough introduction. As said, I’m just some fool with countless hours of game experience and dreams of game creation. But right now, I’m nobody. Why did you come here? How did you find me, for that matter?
Actually, if you’re still there, could you do me a favor? Write me a shout or whisper, and tell me how you got here, on my profile. If you’re a “fan”, why did you decide to do that? I’m curious to know where this traffic is coming from. Be as long-winded or as brief as you like. I don’t mind lengthy explanations, as I’m sure you can tell. :)
Thanks for listening to my rant, and thanks to all you who’ve decided to become my fan. I’m not sure why you did that, but it was oddly inspiring. Maybe I do have the power to become somebody after all?
