How to save and load games in hardcore mode: Find files named party1.sol party2.sol party3.sol. Those are saves for your 3 party slots. Location of those files will be different on your system but it will be something like C: \ Users \ YourUserName \ AppData \ Roaming \ Macromedia \ Flash Player \ #SharedObjects \ 7BWSTQAA4 \ chat.kongregate.com \ gamez \ 0000 \ 5407 \ live \ monstersdenk.swf \ party1.sol Copy the saves into some safe place when you want to save, and copy the save file back when you want to load the game. When your party dies the game just deletes its save file. Copy it back and you'll be able to load game. Also, this way you can have more than 3 saves, just store the extra files elsewhere and move them back when needed.

hmm... when i kill the demon i run away to avoid getting squished by falling rubble... yet when i continue with my adventure i find i have a cloak 'fashioned from the skin of the demon itself'. now how did that happen?

4 noobs: In beginning, give good stuff 2 warrior and what warrior was wearing to cleric. Hope this helps, I learned the hard way.

How to own impossible badge: 1 Ranger (Super DPS, you spam his Hail of Arrows every fight for the win, with poison/lethality/stun, only back row unit.), 1 Cleric (Tanky with good heals, don't put in back row), 1 Warrior (Super tanky, spam shield wall, make sure you get speedy items so he takes all hits with shield wall). 1 Rogue (Semitanky, you spam create opening) = easy win.

I love two of the portraits. The "classic mage" (old man on green tunic) and the "assasin" (the one picked for the impossible badge). Very good artwork.

I had a very fast ranger so by using my rangers's pin move I aced the final boss (a solitary monster without minions) without taking damage. I used pin, boss can't move I hit it with my allies, and repeat.

Hardest of Core Badge DOESN'T have to be on hardcore gamemode, as it is not in the badge's description. All you have to do is report missing achievement and send a screenshot as proof.

Unfortunately, the boss is a joke if you have a rogue who is maximizing damage. Hide, pierce defenses, some help from your other party members and you're done in 2 rounds. I even got lucky and stunned him before he could move.

So don't check equipment after every level. Just check after battling a boss. If you've picked a decent party composition and build strategy, you don't need tip-top equipment to deal with the rif-raff monsters. And after you defeat them, you should be able to easily identify junk stuff, just don't pick it up.

It's SO annoying to check what to equip EVERY TIME you win a battle. Needs less items or an auto-equip button as suggested earlier.

Just obtained the Impossible badge with a team of 4 Mages. It was pretty easy by lvl 6. Just get INT,SPD(to 70 so you can outmanuever every enemy in the game aside from Voidwalkers)and Drain Health. Electrical Storm,Incinerate and Cosmic Prison is all you need for extra skills. The person who isn't in the front, give that person Invisibility.

Currently using a team of 4 mages. All point go into INT except 1 which goes to END for about 10 lvls. Always get gear for INT,HP Regen,MP Regen and LETH,STUN and VENOM. 1st few pts, get 2 mages Elec Storm and another 2 Incinerate. Then, get the others the spells the other ones have. After that, get Cosmic Prison. You will blow through almost every fight(unless you let 1 die by not utulizing potions).

5/5 Great game! My strategy: 1 cleric(meatshield+heal(AoE)+ability to wear heavy armor), x2 ranger(high damage+cheap 2 targets at once+double damage against creatures+decent AoE(kick asses with high accuracy items) and the rest was mage, just for using some unique items(like staffs) + it's got the most stable AoE . If u want to do impossible badge, u should clear first 9 stage 100%(it's important), then u could just beat every boss until lvl 20-25. From the lvl 20(25-30, if u'd have shitty stuff) u could go even without killing smth or with 1-2 battles per stage. PS: yep, it's rly time consuming badge so be aware :)

Mousing over items won't give you the pop-up boxwith stats. If you drag an item the pop-up might show up but it won't go away.

Very nice old school game, my team that was warrior , rogue , cleric and huntress and i get only 2 deaths. I enjoyed the theme with the Corruptor and the Dark avatars of my heroes, the toughest was my huntress and rogue.

Another skill set with 4 clerics: give 3 of them more than 70 speed and max int (in the back) with litany of pain, and smite, and give the front guy be the fastest, with high armor, END, and health regen. Then give the meatshield in front anoint, and shield of faith. other stuff matters very little. Now on every battle just anoint your most powerful Litany dude and use litany three times. on bosses do the same, but after that turn use shield of faith and then smite away. once you get demonslayer stuff, you can give it to the dude in front to refresh him and make him EVEN MORE POWERFUL. VICTORY! ^.^

Guys I'm having a serious problem here. I just downloaded the newest Adobe Flash player and attempted to play this game, but only a black screen appears stating the game could not finish loading. Help!

2 clerics + rouge + mage.
Clerics in first row, rouge + mage in second.
For clerics you take a endurance and some intelect.
attributes: For mage and rouge you get intelect/dexterity and some endurance (you want to be able to survive single round).
skills: one cleric must have holy light. It's good to have revive on both of clerics. Use smite to finishing off enemies in second row.
About ranger and mage - i think it's better to focus on pure dmg/poison and not stunning. Also not survival skills.
items: heal regeneration is good, better than armor and additional endurance.
Drain health is also good.
Reflect damage is not very useful.
i didn't used shrine even once. Game gets easy and boring with this build.

To those who aren't getting the impossible badge, I tried most of the combinations suggested here, and the one I was successful with was: 3 rogues and 1 cleric, keeping the 3 rogues at the front and the cleric at the middle back. Equip your rogues with health regeneration and your cleric with power regeneration. Give the rogues 2 points str and 1 point end every level, and your cleric all int. The best way to play is to make all your rogues use the 'create opening attack' every time, and keep your cleric's mana reserved for healing and revive. Btw, don't equip your cleric with heavy equip just cause he can, but always look for the ones with best power reg! Worked for me, hope it helps!

1: The start is the hardest part. Afterwards, you can focus on single attack skills. Towards the end, everyone is so strong that you need to use more multiple attack skills.
2: You must manage your inventory all the time. You have to refill your health and power using your abilities within a battle or you will run out of potions.
3: Special items such as “health regen” and “power regen” are extremely valuable. Items that allow “Wearer may retreat instantly” are a must for when things go sour.
4: The skills that are most useful – Warrior: (he’s the tank). Cleric: Heal, Holy Light. Mage: Power Siphon, Cosmic Prison. Ranger: Nature’s Balm, Focus, Pin.
For those that are curious, here are my stats after 50 levels: 48 bosses killed, shrines used 4 times, 20 total character deaths, and of course no party wipe outs – just a couple of close calls near the start.

Anyone else had any success using non cleric builds?
First 15 levels were hell (had to restart a couple of times and avoid most enemies), but once I got quickness for each person above 80, can wipe out most parties before they attack using area of effect spells. And you can use stun causing skills on the key enemies if you think you cannot wipe out in one go.
Current party 2 x ranger, 1 x rogue, 1 x mage.
Try it, it makes the game play much more differently.

Loaded this up again after a while. Throwing away loot all the time, one by one, is very tedious. More robust roguelikes allow users to create filters to alleviate this, but this is a Flash game after all. Still, well done.

I had to play up to level 58 for my Impossible badge to register. I did it on Hardcore mode using 3 Rogues and a Cleric.

Well I am having some trouble getting the impossible achievement to register. I have reached lvl51 but its saying that my highest is lvl33. I still do not have my achievement. D: Does anyone know if there is a bug with this or if it is just screwing up for me? Thanks!
P.S. Yes I did play it on hardcore
