I would love to see a badge for this game of some kind. It was amazingly done, and I loved discovering the story. It seems like the sort of game that could easily have one.

As nearly-everyone says, a map would be helpful. Links to a map have been found, but a map in the game is what I really need, something to show where I currently am. Also, a save button, or some kind of save point. I would like to look at all of the endings without having to restart and collect all of the artifacts over and over again to get all of the endings, one by one. On another note, I liked having a lot of little details to notice: I took a while to notice that the little person actually runs, and the structures have shadows. I played most of the game muted, but when I finally turned the sound on, I was totally creeped out - not a bad thing. Although it's wind, I feel like something demonic is breathing on my neck, it was pretty thrilling. Maybe it wasn't wind, afterall. Another question: what are the crawling things? Bugs, mammals? Either way, I started feeling bad whenever I stepped on them and they ran away. Really great game, just needs a map and saving points. 4/5

To anyone having problems finding the FIRST Signpost, it is located EAST of the LARGE CROSS on a Grayish small land. For you to find the LARGE CROSS, just walk NORTH from your starting point.
OR
Find/Go to the SECOND Signpost, according to the 4th Signpost located between two Metal Plates, and walk straightly through NORTH and Find a small piece of grayish land/the First Signpost
BTW http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/1065/loomingmap.jpg
It is the mini map
LOL

I can't find the last two shiny things. DEAR GOD I JUST WANNA FIND THE LAST TWO SHINY THINGS!
Seriously though, I love this game. I come back to it again and again...even though I never seem to remember where anything is, hehe.

I just realized while claiming my BOTD points that you created Babies Dream of Dead Worlds, How to Raise A Dragon and The Day, along with Majesty of Colors. Trying out this game for first time, and know I'll be pleased with what I see!

i generally am baised against newgrounds, but this provided an immersive setting with newgrounds usually more disturbing content to a minimal. i finished to all but one ending (in which you find all of the rings of sciences), but had no instigation to move onward due to the fact that no "end" really carried a satisfying result.

Developer, have you considered adding the Kongregate API? You could have it report the number of endings the player has unlocked, and maybe separately report each ending... I could smell badges.

I thought this was great. I reviewed it on my site: http://hyrulechozo.tumblr.com/post/32201202439/freeware-review-looming

Dear September,
I'm running off because of your infatuation with this damn place.
I'll stay with October.
Love,
January
P.S.: I don't know if you got the mini-map I sent you...

yeah because all of the sign-posts are refered to by previous sign-posts, the lower their number the less likely you are to find them. and then the one hint "east of the second hidden sign-post" which requires you know the first hidden sign post, which is the most unlikely to find is a little... there could have been a trick to help finding the first sign post, like having one of the later sign-posts read something like "east of here, just past the first hidden sign post" or something like that.

looking at the comments, a lot of people describe this game as creepy. is it possible they confused relaxing and intreguing with "creepy", somehow?

wow. very good game. very moving in a weird way... makes me want to re-evaluate my life. 5/5 and faved for leaving me breathless, and wordless

So far I've wandered and bumped into stuff and it's looking a long tedious fetch quest or random objects to random locations. I'm out. Lern2Gameplay.

'Dear January,
I'm Sorry, I will not be coming back to your love anytime soon. Why? Oh, January, It is not because I want you to pair up with August or even October, I'm afraid it's because I cannot find the portal. If you want me back, please send me a map...'

I wasn't going to complain about anything, until I didn't walk through the portal I made by finding all the signposts, instead opting to try a different one because I thought hey, I found them all, everything stays. That immediately made me drop the entire game because there is no way I'm redoing that in a game this "empty and vast". Yes, I was intrigued by the story, and what happened there, but not enough to waste more minutes simply walking and being lost on a huge map.

I know you made everything be near the path, but I felt like I had explored all of the path and not found everything, so I started a tedious exhaustive search, and then found a walkthrough to find the last few things. This was unpleasant enough and basic enough to the gameplay that it dropped my opinion of the game to 3/5 from probably 5/5 otherwise. Some amount of mapping with marks of where you had found things would fix this.

I know the point of the game is feeling overwhelmed, but it would be nice if September made a map of The Looming as he explored. Not a detailed one, but one that at the very least looked like a sketch.

Blech. This game can be considered an art game but that doesn't make it good. In a game you're supposed to involve the player which this doesn't do. I just walk around until I find something and it does nothing to draw me in. This would have been better as a book or a movie.

I like how the Seecha are like machines - they are masters of mechanisms without understanding and count in binary. The Lorem are like people - they know science, but they can't implement things at the speed of a machine. Still working on ending 7.

i really cant figure out what the puzzle does or means. the 7th ending is still open for me. the top-rated comment by samerules4ever doesn't solve it for me. i systematically scanned through the whole loom searching for that artifact-related location. i can only find the triangle (tally), dome (humans), and that dragon thingy.. and searching through 400 comments searching for 7 and "seven" didnt helo either

The aimless wandering around looking for places you've already passed and forgotten the direction of, makes this adventure more frustrating than engaging. There really needs to be some sort of minimap.

This game is one of the most beautiful I've ever experienced. The extremely stark contrast between the wonderful depth in the game (of September, of the tribes, of the Oarbor, the world itself) and the the fact that the game only has two colors adds to the beauty.
