@Seadrake - The ninth one you're looking for: There are TWO portals that can be opened with the Spotlights. One with the diagram, and the other with the 4 star signposts. Hope that helps!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
After you find all of the portals you can see some notes about the game as a reward.
I think this game was beautiful in its own way really.

Nice at first, very nice. Then I can't find that one final &^($#* dot. I prefer games where there may be multiple ways to get through them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it's a little difficult to find those objects because they look a little like the rest of the game... Anyway nice game 4 of 5!

So, anyone know where all the bones are? I have everything but the one between the skull and the hip on the inventory screen.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well it was an average game until the ending, by which I mean the nonending. I wish there was a point because if there is, I can't find it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
No idea how I found all the items. Finding that LAST item was evil, and ending 9 is eluding me. 3/5 for interesting, yet causing me to be extremely antsy.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
guys i have 8/9 ending and ill share the last two but i need someone to help me with the hidden signpost scavenger hunt one. ok, so the 8th is to go to each of the 4 corners of looming, and itll have a signpost that says "the (direction ex. southwest or SW) faces (direction). these refer to a series of searchlights a little left of the center of looming (go up from cross about 6-8 seconds and walk left til you see them). The first direction refers to a searchlight (ex. SW= the searchlight to the bottom left of the 4) and the second refers to which way the light should be facing (hold x by them to make the light change direction) a gate will open, and thats ending 8. ending 9 is achieved in the same way,m only, after finding all of the broken diagram pieces, look at them in your inventory to see four circles and directions. change the searchlights to these directions for ending 9. now here my question to you: I cant find the signpost at the base of te spire. can anyone help

Two complaints: a) Too much pixel-hunting for the artifacts. If I have to sweep the entire area to find them all, at least make them easier to spot. b) I had to look at a walkthrough for the second ending, and I have to say it's impossible to figure out what it is unless you stumble onto it by chance. Still, it's a good puzzler with great atmosphere and I hope to see a badge for completion. 5 stars.

I don't know why, but with the sound turned up high, I can't stop feeling clammy, and it feels very cold. I also shiver a lot. This is the most "realistic" game to date, and gives a sense about what real fear is. It's not devil's, its being lost with no hope.

@tragicsnowfall, they may be trapped in their own reality, but at least they make attempts to understand things, and learn. the seecha just built mindlessly and never questioned a thing...

yes, i enjoy the story, yes i enjoy the premise of finding out about the past settlers, no i don't enjoy wandering aimlessly looking for single white pixels that are out of place on a giant white pixel grid.
I went back and forth 1 screen at a time until i went from bottom to top of the map. I am still missing 2 relics. it took me about a a half hour of the most tedious thing I remember doing.

Yes it was fun the first 20-30 mins and trying to collect all of the items, but I started to get bored trying to find the portals after completly ganing all of the items and those things that ocme out of the ground.. what now?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
its a great game and all but i just dont have the attention span to play for more than hour. starts to get boring but i like the idea of it

I had guessed before I read the notes that Yume Nikki was an inspiration, I really saw pieces of the gameplay (insofar is quiet lonely exploration is gameplay?) come through.

Dear January, countless hours and energy were spent crossing these enourmous barren lands to come back to you, only to return again. Why do I do it? I have no idea. All this could've been avoided, if we just didn't care.

A wonderful storyline eventhough it doesent explain it clearly it progressively starts to make more and more sence, E.I.G. at first i thought i was a spirit of the lorem or something, know i know im a scientist gone to study and uknown world. The pixels actually make it easier, if there were any more depth than that in the design it would make the storyline too hard to understand. The combination of genres is a perfect mix of mystery, romance, and something else that there is no word for. 5/5. rate + if you agree. Just one thing for an update, it would be nice if there was like a diary, so you could see endings that youve accomplished and see your characters oppinion on whats happening.

I don't know why, but I'm just not that fond of the game. Maybe it's the graphics that don't really attract me. I certainly don't disagree with what other people say, it just doesn't grab me in my opinion. I'm not going to give a rating, just because I'm still trying to understand how I feel about the game.

I have found a map http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?quickkey=ulomrtzj4qm&thumb=4
just wish there was one in-game 4/5

Long, but not difficult (and guys, pixel hunting is when you need to click something too small with a mouse cursor that doesn't change shape - the artifacts here are clearly evident when you see them and catching them is easy). Loved it, like almost every other GregoryWeir's games. Takes quite some time, but it's time well spent.

im sorry number 7 is the first seerchlight one and 9 is still the second. the eighth is the finding of all of the hidden signposts, and i have this to say toyou who havent figured it out: the signpost that is right after the beginning one that say to go to the dirt patch isnt the one you go west from, it the one south of the group of spires. start from the second HIDDEN signposts. + both of my messages so everyone can see

Dear January,
I am currently hunting down those bastards that is rating Looming 1-4/5. I wish I am back home, full of your love, but those idiots really get on my nerves...
Yours, September.

3/5. Decent game, I get the concept, but far too tedious. I felt compelled to finish, but it was more in a "Grah!! how the HECK do I get this last one!?!?" way, as opposed to the good "Gee, I wonder what the next one will be." Way.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think all that has needed to be said about this game has already been said above... and I agree with all of it. Very deep and thoughtful and all together a genius piece of work. 5/5

@Piros12, I got the far right dot on the title screen but am missing the far left. Maybe instead of whining, we can collaborate to figure it out. Which is what old school gamers used to do to find out how to completely beat a game. (Not every one knew there was a warp spot in Level 4-2 of Super Mario Bros., right? You learned it from talking to other gamers.)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Deep atmosphere & background supported by a basic gameplay ; a very nice feeling of completion at the end of the game. 5/5

Remebering what will happen in the future, searching messages of brilliant but stupid engineers and bright but incompetent researchers that aren't there anymore, or will leave in the future, because they tryed to catch a skelleton that will writes signposts, waiting for an amphi.. what even is that thing?!... I finaly desided to spend my time chasing birds. 5/5 Stars, and maybe 20% of my common sense xD

1) If you are looking for a beginning, you will find the first signpost here: ˙ɥʇɹou dn ʞlɐʍ ʇuıod sıɥʇ ɯoɹɟ ˙ɐǝɹɐ ʎɥɔʇɐd 'punoɹ ɐ ɥɔɐǝɹ noʎ llıʇ ʇsɐǝ oƃ uǝɥʇ '(ssoɹɔ ɐ ǝʞıl sʞool ʇɐɥʇ ɹɐllıd ǝɥʇ ɥʇıʍ) ɥʇɐd ǝɥʇ ɟo puǝ ǝɥʇ ɥɔɐǝɹ noʎ llıʇ ɥʇɹou oƃ 'ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ ɟo ƃuıuuıƃǝq ǝɥʇ ɯoɹɟ
2) I suggest “geography”, or maybe only “topography” be a number VII path ring…
3) I seriously think this game should be badged!
