For those that think that there are only 8 birds available in this game... the last is Black Swan which is very possible to get in the demo. No, really. I had 2 in the same flock at one point.

Gotta love Apollo's Pheonix. There were 2 blimps side by side (!!!) and my flock was obliterated. But then of course the pheonix flies in, turns into a black swan, summons a billion regular swans, then makes them all invincible.

lol that moment when you have 49950 points and are about to get the Unwavering achievement, then a plane come from behind, right up the middle of your flock, and you can't avoid it at all and lose most of your flock... ><

After awhile, gets really laggy sometimes. On chrome, btw. Great game, just seems like there is too much going on in the WW1 battle scene. too many particles or something. I'll try it on IE and see what I get.

- it would be nice to have combos : if you collect many birds of the same species, you earn a bonus.
- it would be nice to "earn" something at each new vortex-time-travel (feathers, information about birds, map pieces about the migration, fun pictures, etc). Something that let the player know that he just reached a "new level".
- It would be really fun to "discover" new birds during the game : you're flying with your flock and suddenly, there is a new bird you had never heard about (mythological bird, tropical bird, prehistoric bird, alien bird).
- It would be interesting to have a few mini games. For example, in one mini game, you can actually fire (eggs, mails, droppings ???) to fight back the planes ; in an other, you're a plane and your goal is to crush a max of birds. It could add a certain diversity in the game, and a "goal" perspective (reach this part of the game to unlock this minigame).

This game is awesome, nice idea, nice graphics, nice music, nice gameplay ...
A few possible improvements / ideas although :
- Everytime I choose a new order for my flock, it works for the following game, but it isn't saved over time. It is a little bit annoying.
- It would be good to have keyboard shortcuts to change the leader of the flock. The current system (mouse click) isn't good : you don't really see which bird is selected, it is complicated to change when you're in difficult situations. A keyboard shortcut (1=black swan ; 2 = albatross ; 3 = sparrow, etc) that fit with the order you previously customized in the flock menu would be a nice improvement.
- A full screen mode would be interesting to really enjoy the ambiance of the game.

Bug report: Occasionally (1/20 games or so) after game-over, you can click on the "main menu" button and the game will return to the final frame of the game and freeze (with sprite animations still running).

Some of those planes are so massive, and there are so many of them on the screen at one time it makes me wonder if it is even possible to get even one bird past them??

It would be nice if there could be an "expand your flock without danger"/zen mode. With birds going away every n seconds, depending on the type, for example. Just making a flock. No killings. (Just an idea though)

I love the World war theme in this game, and i can see that the real version will be having to guide them out of the past and back into 2012, so you will be flying through all the names it came up on the screen.

It would be nice if you could set flock leader and mockingbird copy priorities separately. Otherwise, great game! Looking forward to the full version! :)

You should make a stats bar in the 'My Flock' part showing what birds are doing what depending on the pecking order and other traits, such as the upgrade function.
Good game 4/5. Also nice music.

i think that the birds need to move alittle faster and the pecking order needs to be explained alittle more but other than that its a very good game

I really liked the first game and I really like this second version. However, I find that the pecking order needs to be explained a bit better, and also that the mechanism for changing the flock leader needs to work more smoothly. In order to see which bird I am trying to select for leadership, I need to keep the flock still as it is nigh impossible to see which one is selected otherwise. However, this meant that every time I wanted to select a leader, half my flock (and often the bird up for selection) would be wiped out by a plane....

oh wow i feel so stupid. forge my previous feedback. i did not realize you were supposed to hold down the mouse button to move. i thought you had to keep your mouse in the little white circle to move. whoops

I may not have played this for very long, but so far this game is frustrating to me. as your flock moves to slow and me times out of ten any plane that hits your flock wipes out every bird in your flock. I loved your first game, but I think the maneuvering part of the gameplay should be modified. Im glad to see your trying to make another one. I hope it turns out to be another fantastic game. the idea certainly is unique. thank you for reading this and I hope you consider my feedback.
