A nice proof-of-concept, or a framework for a game. Good job, I am looking forward to seeing a remake with some gameplay included. :)

Ugh.. any way to make it so it doesn't buy all of the upgrades you can afford by itself? not cool blowing 50k on hull upgrades when i just wanted one level

What a lame ass boring game. I completed it though for 2 reasons: 1. It was extremely easy, most ten year olds would have no trouble with this. 2. It probably will end up getting badges. I was certainly glad when it was over. Ways to make the game better? Random levels, maybe some enemies to avoid or shoot, or make the sub take damage when you hit the walls. Asking too much maybe, but, this game... just isn't fun.

This was pretty decent. Not bad, but nothing to phone home about. needs an ending. also, you were just taunting us with that map on land, weren't you?

There should be two badges: One for completely completing level one or something, and one for completing the game. Even without the badges, game was pretty fun to play and kill some time.

Sorry for double comment, just forgot to include in the last one:
Why ask for satisfaction in a congratulatory screen instead of asking for a challenge to actually be satisfied in without congratulations?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm just wondering where the challenge is... if I'm only limited by the stats that I'm spending the money on, it's just a game of "go here and do this." The only challenge is deciding whether you have the time to go for more, and considering I'm not penalized at all for going back up and the only penalty for death is having to do it again, that's not really that big of a deal. Everyone's asking for a "congratulations you win for life +1 self-esteem" on a game that's not giving me any satisfaction for progressing in.

This has a lot of potential. I can think of all sorts of things to add to make it cooler. 1. Some sort of enemies, say a shark that can bump you around, squid that can blow ink if you get to close. You can also add "air bubbles" under that could be O2 over tanks just lying around. Also some upgrades could be one shot uses, like say emergency O2 and shark repellent, a shield that helps for a while with depth once activated. Next I would add cool achievements, like deepest dive, longest underwater without surfacing, etc. Also you could make open ocean dives then, with other rewards, like sunken ships, or stopping oil leaks, with the enemies this could be a challenge. Also some sort of timer would be good, so one is challenged to do these tasks. Etc. Last I would make the upgrades make the sub cooler looking all the time, until you have a bad-ass looking deep diving machine! Put a story line to it with different challenges each level, and this would be a 5 Star game.

Level 10 (max) O2 tanks gives you about 2 minutes 5 seconds (125 seconds) of oxygen, so this is nowhere near "+30 seconds of oxygen every level". If it was, there'd be about 325 seconds or so of oxygen. Either fix the text or fix the upgrade levels.

A relaxing little game. Easy, but thats not really a bad thing. My only suggestions are 1) Add some kind of congratulations screen when you've done everything, so you at least acknowledge the player's effort. 2) Maybe do something with the sunken ship on the last level? It glows like it should be important, but doesn't really do anything.

*Phew* Sure glad those pirates left me some oxygen tanks. Stealing their treasure would have been impossible without them!

Fun, Played to finish. Could do with a bit more, or at least a longer music loop. Encountered a minor bug with buying the final hull upgrade, but it just wasn't showing up until I re-entered the shop. I'm not sure I believe that each O2 lvl gives you 30 seconds either! 3/5

You need to add some extra features, maybe some bonus content or a "Hard-mode" with difficult mazes and hard to reach treasures. An aquarium and pearl collection would be another great addition. Achievements wouldn't really suite this game unless the playability and difficulty is buffed.

well, I liked the game, until now. Came back to finish it off, and low and behold, all my saved data is lost. awesome.

Where’s the end?? Without an end the whole game is *pointless*! But hey, there was no real secret or conflict to resolve from the beginning anyway, which kinda gave it away already.
Conclusion: Story 2/5 (At least you did it for a reason.), aesthetics 1/5 (I’ve rarely seen such a ”default” style. It felt like it was generated by a bad algorithm instead of a human.), gameplay mechanics 3/5 (Controls and feedback were clean and default. The rules of the game were very default too. No highlights, no reasons, and no motivations.), technology 3/5 (A fluid Flash game. Nothing new and exciting at all. Could well be a EA game.), total experience 2/5 (Slight difficulty buildup, which is good. But no interest curve AT ALL., which is very bad. Let alone a fractal one.)
Feels like a game made for small children. But the thing is: That does not give it a free pass to be be bad and boring.

Graphics: Average. Nothing special. Nice to see the upgrades going on, but the levels could have done with more design to them - just having square, brown, featureless caverns is a little uninspiring. Nice lighting effects as you go deeper, around you and the fish.
Sound: Awful. That... I hesitate to call it Muzak, as Muzak has at least had some care and attention put into it... was just appalling.
Gameplay: Fun. Nice exploring, though it would be nice if you got a message once you'd found everything - a little congratulations or something. I ended up finding everything, and going and sitting by the Wreck on level 10 until my air run out - I hadn't died up until that point, so wanted to see what happened (Not much), and I thought it might trigger a secret. It didn't. I'd make it a little more challenging (Make crashing into the walls drop a tiny bit of air, or put kraken or sharks in it as enemies to avoid, something like that), and put a game-over screen.
Solid. 3/5.
