Quick newbie guide
1st 5 sets of 3 skills:
* Gold Vault x3
* Gold Vault x2, Height Advantage
* Cut Out, Cut Out Mastery x2
* Cut Out, Cut Out Mastery x2
* Cut Out x3
Now cut a forest, get 100 gold. Do often.
After you are level 6, focus on beating Ninjas. Next skills to target:
* Mana Pool x 1, Soul Vault
* Mana Pool max
* Meteor Study & Mastery to take out boss Ninjas. Note that after selecting Meteor, you can shift-click to cast it more than once.
Next: Mind Control, Mana Extraction, Ice Mastery.
Don't bother with these:
* Mining. You're going for Brilliant ratings, so why bother?
* Return Portal. See above.
* Frenzy Study/Frenzy Mastery. I never Frenzy.
* Poison Mastery. AVOID.
Level strategy: Beat Ninjas; you can then beat most everything else. Build towers up front so Ninjas disappear ASAP, then spam towers by the gems before Ninjas come to take out Ninjas after they reappear. Build towers in the middle to take out other dudes, too. Keep enough mana to beat Ninja bosses.

remember for the ninjas they don't go invis until they get hit (i'm not sure if it's get hit once or lose mana). all the non champion ninjas if hit early enough are easily killable with a few demon or hunter towers before they touch gems. as for the champ ninjas i suggest meteor like the game says or as in the 14th and 15th waves destroy all towers except for your ballistic dens because if you have enough dens it will one shot the champ ninja even if the ninja "goes invis" after the first hit, IT IS POSSIBLE TO ONE SHOT A CHAMP NINJA WITH BALLISTIC DENS WITHOUT USING METEOR IN EVERY WAVE. you might have to sell dens if you have skilled up the poison cloud so the ninja doesn't go invis until all the rocks and arrows are in the air. i hope this helps. it took forever to figure out an alternate strategy to "click as fast as you can to kill ninjas"

for the people trying to get all brilliants...
i breezed thru everything and got all brills until the 14th mission. i had a tough time beating the champ ninja bc even with the shift E you have to keep clicking. I found that if you make enough ballistic dens (no other dens or other towers) they will all hit the ninja the first time, and the ninja isn't phased, the ninja is just invis so once invis the champion ninja gets to the gems. i found that you can one shot a champ ninja with enough ballistic dens. if you don't one shot the ninja you can finish it with a meteor or 2 without using shift (i still suggest using E).
i hope this helps. i spent hours going thru 50 waves only to find out my twitch skills weren't good enough to kill a boss in a strategy game. i am very good at video games so this was bothering me.

The big ninja guy is a bitch to kill. He gets half way through the labyrinth invisible then pops up and runs back like is on shrooms.

The one thing I don't like about this game is that it makes you feel too guilty about losing the gems, I know we've all heard the almost maniacal laughter that plays when an enemy captures a gem.

These ninjas are masters of deception:Not only do they manage to stealth around my towers in the middle of a noon,they even do it with full black clothes on...

May I seriously question the intentions of the person (It's very probably just one spamming the same thing over and over and over again) that's spamming the game comments with these freaking virus overloaded sites? We seriously need a permanent removal tool for such bullshit.
