How to win the 8th mission as Crimson Horde: Kill the two nearest ogres, and use the gold to build 6 obelisks (or 5 obelisks + 1 farm if you need one). Launch diversionary attacks on the nearest citadels using your cheap 85 gold immortals, and use your magic spells (AOE + Summoning) to cap the outer points. Use the gold to further boost mana production which will allow you to quickly whittle down the inner citadels, and take them with 1-2 units.

perhaps a system where a castle defender gains a bonus for being inside the castle (it seems strange that troops defending have no advantage) perhaps give ranged units at least the ability to fire at attacker without needing to leave the castle and become vulnerable

This game is exactly my most beloved type of flash game, and as I began to play I got excited because it looked like a 5/5. But as I neared completing it all too soon I realized that while the basics were all there to make it a brilliant and fun strategy game with fun and unique factions it just seems a little unfinished. Thats ok tho that is what sequels are for :D definitely need that retreat function and maybe a few more type of building to capture with more perks and much more missions that get more and more challenging, keep up the GREAT work guys!
Thanks! The game development took much more than expected so we just couldn't wait more and had to release what we had. Though the game has great potential and we will definitely create a sequel to let this potential transfer to a great game %)

Good game overall, but selecting troops to attack specific locations needs some fine tuning. I would often be in the middle of dragging my curser and all of the sudden my troops would become randomly deselected. 3/5 the way it is, but potential 4/5 after some slight alterations to gameplay.

Found a glitch where I jammed on the Cataclysm button and it went off a few times and made everything zero and nobody could build troops and it just sits there.

Exactly what Pongo_3931 said. When i order my squads to go to an Ogre, because I need the money he has, so that i can raise more troops, It is super annoying for them to get within 50 yards of a castle and they just run at it all willy nilly, and there is no way to communicate to my tiny soldiers that the task they are trying to undertake is futile! It is so hard to watch them throw themselves like a wave at the unmoving stone wall that is my enemies castle.

great, because my units choose to go in circles and walk back and forth in stead of just taking over the town, I did not perfect the last lvl, but got the time 05:31.... stupid troops...

1) What a refreshing fun game that provided its 5 star vote for sure.
2) On the sequel could you focus less on zerg rush winning, but have ranking for complete domination with fully upgraded units, goal accumulated , or other items to mix it up. Let different play styles not be penalized.
3) Set up squad quick keys? Highlight a group, assign them squad 1. Select another group, squad 2. this way in the heat of battle I press 1 or 2 and quickly move units.

I like this game alot but this is ridiculous, I spawn with 1 mini village and my enemy spawns with 3 castles + 1 mage tower? Im good but im not Chuck Norris :p

Garrisoned units should automatically go back inside when the immediate engagement is over. Ranged units should always stay inside when garrisoned, with a defense bonus.

I have to say that the time restrictions on missions are really a pain in the ass. I mean, It's hard enought to level up your castle, produce money, produce troops, and then send them around without having to do it all in under 5 and a half minutes.

Unit selection is a real problem. It's far to easy to miss the banner when try to move a group, end up deselecting them, and fail because of this.

I hate when I send soldiers to a mana tower and along the way they decide to attack a castle. Really takes the strategy out of the game.

Troops constantly making inexplicable movements, horrible interface that routinely fails to respond to mouse clicks. Nice effort, but really, really unpleasant to play. Damn those badges!

Nice execution, would like a retreat button though. And troops following orders instead always going after the nearest enemy/structure.

Very fun - I agree with the last comment about the guys running around the castle instead of immediately entering it. Directing the units is awkward - I have to select their icons and hope I can quickly aim the crosshair on their destination quickly enough to get a Perfect time, and then some units just want to fight instead of go where I want them to. About the aiming thing, if i want a unit to grab the giant's gold chest, sometimes he defeats the giant but he isn't QUITE close enough to the chest, and I have to direct him again. Maybe the crosshair should click onto an obvious objective, or soldier should go ahead and grab the closest obvious objective?

Nice game, but in my opinion cataclysm is broken, it says that it´ll do average damage to you, an high damage to your opponent, but it does more damage to me. Could you fix that?

Nice, but you should be able to pull back the squads from fights (especially trebuchet and archers, that are too easily lost because they keep fighting even if you tell them otherwise).

I think its pretty funny how after my troops see opposing troops, run to kill them, destroy the castle, and after destroying it, walk back to where they came from walk all the way around the path just to go back to the castle and rebuild...

I find it annoying when my troops are just next to a building when they destroy it but they have to GO OUT.... walk to the freaking road then march in... =.= thats how i got 5.31 once...

Really wish I could see the status effects that are currently affecting the troops when I mouse over them! I know the little emoticons are there but they are cryptic and too small to identify easily.

@Bonzo - Yeah, I agree about the movement. Not natural at all. And I hate when I send my troops to point A, but they see enemy castle B and decide to attack it instead.

You can spam the hell out of that heal spell. *gets into fight, spams heal about 3 times* Literally impossible to lose with that spell.

The post-combat pathing for units is really bad. I just missed a Perfect rating on a level by one second because a unit surrounding a castle wasted 5 on going back to the point from which they charged into combat instead of just occupying the castle they're standing right on top of.

Call of Death can 1-shot your Lord's Avatar, and still convert of most of your units. I wouldn't mind if it did one or the other, but both is a bit much.

OK, i got all missions. i got all badges. i got all on perfect. why does "Johner1261" (look for the kongregate.com-Highscore) have a rating of 25 "perfect missions" while there are only 24 missions? noone else has 25 perfect missions. neither have I. dafuq?

I would prefer is my units listened to me when I gave the commands, like they are losing so I try to retreat but they just stand there and die.
