i got really far in the green and blue campaigns and then i start the red and suddenly the purple guys spam their magic and all my horsemen and archers get turned undead all the time

Combat is too slow, and units don't follow orders. I need a better reference for the differences among normal, veteran, and elite soldiers, as well as decent documentation on spells and the abilities tree. I shouldn't have to play the game once just to get this information, spending time and game resources just for the privilege of looking up characteristics.

When i play the Icedales campain i don't can defeat the tower in level 7 he send a troup every 20 seconds to kill me... D:
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why is it that in this game-world ogres do nothing but sleep guarding chests full of gold (poorly)... and your enemies have no interest it getting it? Joking aside, fun game!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well, that's the hard badge completed. Now to never play this game again. It could've been more fun than it was, but I succeeded in wasting... 4 hours? So y'know, cheaper than a movie.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Boy, it sure would be SWELL if Frost Enchantment had some sort of visual effect so you could see if was actually being cast!

then send him to west castle followed by sending him to west city (again, dont claim the land around castle), fighting should still be going on at east castle, keep supporting them until they manage to destroy the castle, when they do send the weakest one to claim the south castle and magic tower land (the rest should raid the east city and then go towards the north castle, keep supporting them though, they will face resistance), the west castle should also be destroyed by the time he reaches the magic tower, after that he should help the lonely guy with destroying the west town, this strategy beats the stage in about 5 minutes 25 seconds.

final ice mission: build only myrmidons: send 1 troop towards ogre, send another troop toward east castle, freeze ogre when your southern troop is close, freeze opposition at east castle when your northern troop is close, when you get money, build 3 farms and as many myrmidons as you can, send your ogre guy towards south castle, send all reinforcements to east castle. keep freezing enemy troops as often as you can, especially if some are made to fight the south guy, when south castle is destroyed (dont claim the land yet, that wastes time) send south guy to enemy magic tower, if done right he should be able to destroy it (dont claim the land yet) before the enemy can use ultimate

finally got hard badge, final ice mission was really tough, but I beat it by sending 1 guy towards ogre with chest and let that guy go clockwise while the rest of my troops distracted the AI to keep spawning units at them while inching forward counterclockwise, all the while spamming spells like theres no tomorrow

RydWolf, just spam cavalry, don't upgrade, and don't build anything until you have excess cash. I completed it in 4:30ish first try thanks to the stronghold plunder edict.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the time goal is a bit dumb, and you need luck on some levels to get perfect. i never upgraded or even repaired one city, just conquer, push on, build farms get more units. controls could be a bit better, drag and drop is one of the worst possibilities (rts games been around for ages, the ideas are all out there and are generally used).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Finally made it. Didn't really take /that/ long. But it felt like much longer. I dread to think about what it'll take to do that 4th mission in under 5 minutes 30.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Are we just supposed to lose repeatedly to the Crimson Horde's 4th mission or farm the earlier missions until we get enough 'edicts' to just muscle through?

The game would be much more enjoyable, if your stupid units would give a shit, what you tell them. I say "Go there and leave the trolls in the way alone" of course they don't...well the heavy melee units do, the heavy ranged ones of course not. Also "Attack Base A" they attac base B "Okay plan change, since you are already attacking B keep doing that"...after killing the enemies they turn around and attack A instead. HOLY SHIT that's the worst umit commanding system I have ever seen in my life! Also: You want perfect ratings? That's easy, just whatever you do: DO NOT ENJOY THE GAME, JUST RUSH, RUSH, RUSH, RUSH, NEVER enjoy the game or you won't get perfect ratings.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The moment, when you're finishing your enemies just in time, but don't get the Perfect, because the timer goes for two more seconds.....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
And because they need to go around to the front to enter a town, my Immortals attack the forces of two separate enemies rather than going straight back inside after defending my town.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh, my half-health Immortals decided to charge at the 2 groups of gunbots since I can't actually force them to move when they're being attacked.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I love the time challenge! Makes that to need to be creative, take risks and think fast. Although I think most people hate taking risks ^^
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
In the time between completing the mission and actually going to the mission complete screen my rating went from perfect to great.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Soldier: "Commander, the enemy castle is straight ahead."
Commander:"Let's hit that Giants' cave off to the side of the road."

I think there may be a problem with scaling the difficulty of levels, considering that a perfect rating requires the same time to complete regardless of which level it is. The levels don't seem to get genuinely harder and I completed most of them with the same basic unit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just a 4. Game play is good, but the ability to earn edicts on already completed levels (even just one edict on a replay versus the two for the original) would have pushed it over the top to a 5 for me.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nice Game!
Some Ideas I would like to share are custom leaders/generals that you can create and battle other players on a huge map, kind of like RISK, except for the custom leaders :P
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Couldn't finish it. The game just makes me rage every time a group doesn't obey my orders or path stupidly. I'm looking forward for the sequel though as this should be easily fixed in it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Don't like the game because they make it harder and harder but don't give you anymore time to do things for perfect. Don't ever put a achiv like that if you can't make it right.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Volume sliders would be amazing was my first though about this. The SFX are SO LOUD. I want them on, but they just overpower everything.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
[5/5] and very fun, but it's irritating that my troops don't listen to my command when enemies are nearby. Example: I saw a squad of undead heading for my base and sent a few of my squads to defend it. I lost the base because my troops felt like fighting the enemies near them... and then attempting to capture the base that was sending the troops. I think a retreat button/ability and being able to switch squads between Passive Mode and Attack Mode would be an excellent feature in your next game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Toimu: There is a "SKIP" button in the intro at the bottom-right corner. Did you really think a developer would be evil enough to make us watch a movie EVERY time we start their game? : )
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A multiplayer feature could be interesting. There could be like 4 players in one big map, with the undead also being playable. (I don't know if the undead are actually playable in this game, sense I haven't gotten so far yet).
