I forgot why I never finished this on hard, then I fell down between 2 roof tops while fighting and had to star all over:P

Love the game, hate the controls... There are too many buttons. Up, down, left, right, space, W, A, S, D, E... There may be more, I don't know.
Many of those buttons I don't really use. For example, I haven't used the up and down arrow keys other than platforming (which is a pain) and I feel like the game wouldn't lose anything being a side scroller. The dash and dash attacks are quite finicky. Sometimes I double tap and it doesn't work. In the heat of battle, that can be costly.
I'm just nitpicking though. Overall, it's pretty good. 4/5 for me.

I watched the series when it first came out on Newgrounds, loved it and am still waiting on the next installment. However, this game's design is just awful. The graphics are nice and the mechanics are intuitive but the way they put blade traps in tricky jump spots is downright obnoxious. Every bit of health counts (on hard this is most prevalent). It's particularly annoying when it can take you 15 mins to do a level just to be killed right before the end. Let alone the fact that combat picks and chooses when you hit something particularly if you walk sideways to your target. Lessons to be learnt for Jazza? Yeah, stick to videos. Everything about this game that made it good; the music, animation and story are video features. It's the playing bit about this game I don't like!

Dear Dev, your attitude towards the players is atrocious. Your inability to realize that massive difficulty spikes at the bosses make for bad game design is completely unacceptable.

after falling off the rooftops for the fourth time and having to start the first stage from the beginning again, I said, "screw this" and quit.

I can't even jump over the first barrier. Two times tap on the arrow key? Which arrow key, I have 4. I assume "up" arrow, but that just gets me tangled up behind the back row of crates. I can't seem to double tap and hit space bar. My problem I guess. That's why I prefer mouse games.

PLEASE READ: this game WAS uploaded several weeks ago, by a thief. i was busy getting a version ready with the Kong API and other stuff, as well as fixing bugs, please don't vote it down because someone ripped me off.

I feel a bit unfair for this, because there's nothing actually _wrong_ with the game, but the parts that seem meant to be funny just aren't that funny, the parts meant to be fun just aren't that fun, and the story didn't progress enough to be interesting before the game got too boring to continue. 3/5

For the spike platforms, start at the top of the screen, sprint toward barricade, when you jump, make sure that you hold the [down arrow]. I’m not exactly how I figured this out, but it works. My only problem after that was "over-shooting the platform, and landing on the other side (if you have the same issue, jump earlier). I just got the hard badge, and this is a very challenging and fun game. Good Luck!

Gnomercy Badge! Not as difficult as so many people seem t think. I am no gamer superhero, I have quit my share of games, so just hang in there!

@CinnamonM to get over the boxes you need to press right arrow really quickly twice, then about a second before you reach the boxes press space bar. hope this helped, and like so other people who are stuck can see.
thanks :)

It would've been a good game, but the 2nd boss ruined it all. He throws his spears once in a blue moon and he can snipe you with his bull. Seriously?

Anyone else having trouble sprinting and jumping over that first box barricade? To anyone who isn't, please tell me how it's done.

Great game, decent beat-em-up with standard mecanics but fun to play. Anyone else threw their sword at the start and lost it?

I can't imagine that the developers didn't catch flak from the testers about putting the 'attack' button next to the 'throw weapon irretrievably off the edge of the screen' button. Did they manage to convince themselves this was challenging rather than simply frustrating? Or did they blow their budget on voice-overs and skip testing? The miscreant sadist who designed the keyboard controls should be confined to working on bosses: he has a gift for villainy.

Bosses that are easy but take forever to beat, can't move through levels easily because they freeze progression with encounters that require the death of even the smallest enemy (Who might be really far away), and levels that are absolutely full of bushes that damage you when you touch them.
This is the worst game of this genre I have ever seen.
I guess playing Dust kind of spoiled me, but still, 1/5.

4/10. Graphics are simplistic but good. Effort has clearly gone into the storyline, although it is a bit lacking. There is very little to explain hp, stamina and rage as well as bonus weapon damage, though these are easy to figure out. Small hidden gems are a nice touch, makes it worth taking the time to clear up even when full hp rage and stamina. However gameplay is poor, combat is slow, laggy and stamina takes far too long to recuperate, thus cuasing the game to basically become run for your life for 20 seconds whilst your stamina recuperates. Some traps are placed far too close together, cuasing you to just bounce between them and die. I appreciate the extra work gone into the traps, enemies an weapons varying the game. Increase the stamine recuperation rate and i would say it's a solid 8/10. Until that its almost unplayable after about the third level (in my opinion).
