It seemed like did not know how to create text in your program..... well sometimes like when you beat easy, i didn't really understand why you didn't use static text...

Great game-- just improve the AI by coming up with a value system that evaluates each system based on the number of pieces, and possibly the position. Ex getting a position in front of my flag should be key, so perhaps setting an increased tendency to move towards my flag, instead of backing up and playing randomly

'The AI doesn't try to look more then 1 move ahead' t really hard. Most players only have to plot 2 moves ahead to say on top of that. Its not hard to get the AI into unfair exchanges or to move pieces out of position in favor of the player because they are plotting more than 1 move ahead. Still a good game, very interesting concept.

the only thing ive found that i think should b changed is that upon reaching the opposite side of the board, something should change. my soldier units keep reaching the other side and becoming stuck and its like they basically were sacrificed. other than this, great game so far

AI: 1) do i die if i move there 2) do i eat enemy by moving 3) do i get closer to flag by moving. cause of this you can rush towards flag as long as you make sure you got one who can protect AI will not attack if it would lose a single unit by killing you! so AI rather loses game than sacrifices a soldier duh...

I like the spin on chess. You really are on the right track. I would like to see a challenge mode too. That may help with people who want more of a puzzle feel. You can keep the standard progression you have here, but then add challenges where you start mid-game and have to pull out a win or even have a unique non-traditional board where you are out numbered or whatever and have to win. I like what you are doing! Keep it up!

It is rather difficult to distinguish between different tiers of the same piece in later levels. Just put a number on the piece to show its level.

The game is real nice but I think the screen that switches you from "easy" to "medium" could use some improvement. :)

Hey ranoknas, the Piece movement being confusing is def something I thought about. Because the pieces level up in a way I wanted to add in some visual cues. So you have the 4 pieces types, soldier, centaur, dwarf, and minotaur. Then they have 3 levels which allow them to move 1 space, 2 spaces, or across the board in their own directions. Finally there is a visual cue for each level. Level 1 have no weapons, level 2 has a shield, and level 3 has a shield and weapon. Hope this might make it more clear.

Great Game!!! i love chess puzzles and want to see your game get better. just some ideas, perhaps get a unique shape/icon for each piece, if not a different character like shogi? i found playing to be kinda tedious as i need to keep checking how each piece moves.

You should really change the finished screen. I mena, A red button with text written in with paint? You can do better.
unless it's some kind of easter egg.. lol

Seems too similar to chess, though I actually prefer Pawns to whatever the first piece is. Not bad, but it needs to have some variety, as chess itself gives you more options than this does.

I love the different moves that wouldn't normally be in a game of chess. The moves of the AI are predictable after a while. Good game but not the very very best. 4/5
