Wow, it's nice seeing this game being made BotD. One of the best games on Kongregate in my opinion. Just to bad it's taken nearly a decade for the 3rd game in the series to start being developed.

In case anyone was wondering: he hasn't been working on game dev in a long time but is writing a book featuring William and Sly c: <3

It is very rare for me to play the same game twice... and if I do it will be several months to a year in between. I completed this game yesterday, and I'm playing it again now. It is simply awesome! Kajenx, you have done an amazing job!

I rarely compliment a game or the developer, but this game is quite an achievement. From the artwork, to the story, to the silliness, I cannot find one bad thing to say. The lack of the map reminds me of those old RPGs that are like if you want to win, you better earn it and explore everywhere.
Well done.

One of the best Kong games so far ! Animation is wonderfully fluid, + nice music adding to the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere ! Excellent Work 5/5

Excellent job. Just enough 3D on the fox and human to make it interesting without being awkward. Very serene, charming environment. Great control of the fox, with very smooth movement and animation. Interesting for sure... it kept my attention through collecting everything. Praying at an alter is truly an unusual experience that rips you out of the calm environment for a second, so well done. Also, easy to pick up the pace and learn what to do.
Question: what are the "Nothing" and "Squeak" areas for? East eggs? Or do they actually mean something? I've collected all of the mushrooms and journal scraps and returned them to complete the game. Mushroom king! I also kept jump/flying up off the map and then let the fox fall for about 2 minutes, lol. I assume I didn't miss anything else?
Any ways, 5/5! I don't rate games a full 5 very often. :-)

Sly: "Hey, William, guess what? I can fly!"
William: "Finally, a day without rain!"
Sly: "What? Didn't you hear me? I can fly, dude!"
William: "Do I look tan yet? I don't wanna burn."
I did the music. :) I'm thinking about selling it on Amazon, actually. I'll probably add a link in the game. EDIT: Just kidding! Apparently it takes 15 days for a song to be approved on Amazon... -_- I'll just post a DL link. DOUBLE EDIT: Go to my blog for the music!!

how do you create such a marvellous game? its so amazing like the book pages, awesome graphics and the game quality is the best. how do you do it?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
"Hey bud, care to help me getting back some journal pages?"
- Fox runs away for the quest -
- Fox come back flying, surrounded by fireflies, with eyes somewhat different and holding a bomb, along with journal pages -
"Thanks!"

The first one was awesome; this one is even awesomer! ;) You managed to improve what needed improving while keeping what was great. The control is like butter, the graphics are spectacular, the theme is so inspiring (such a nice change from non-stop killing) the ambient sounds make it feel like you're really in the forest (I do miss the thunder and rain, but i get it, the storm's over), and the music is some of the best I've ever heard, and I'm an ambient/electronica junkie, so i know. There's so much interesting detail. I can't get enough of your games! I wish they were longer. I would fork over good money to have a full length version for one of the systems or PC. Like i would literally go out and buy a PS4 if I knew they offered Will and Sly! I can't wait to check out the other two. Not to get too sappy but William and Sly's world is my utopia, and when I play the games I literally feel like I'm in heaven! I can't thank you enough for this brilliant work!!!

Already played it through once. Then came badges. UNFORTUNATELY, I have to do it all again. What a sacrifice. ;) Love the game!

I don't understand what I'm even supposed to really be doing, yet I've been playing this for hours......good work man!

So once you earn flight...you can jump infinitely....whomever put up those magical "invisible walls that weren't there in the first game" forgot a roof XD

Are all you guys who're asking for the location of "the last journal shred" and "the last mushroom" serious? How are we supposed to know which ones you're missing?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It seems to me that William is someone who seems to be sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, and then asking for help to clean up his mess

Wish there was minimap while walking around. I know you can move around with the map open but it takes up 80% of the screen, even just making it transparent would be nice.

Finally got everything! I made a map through my second play-through, with mushrooms, keys, bombs and journal pages: http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff213/SpinelessCoward/Williamandfox2-map.png

There probably is a guy living in an awesome forest, having a super cute fox as a pet and I'm here, pressing some arrow keys.

Because you helped all of the ohnem, devoured all of the mushrooms, and did it quickly:
You are a thoughtful, bloated, and light footed fox.
YAY! **THUD!** ZZZzzz.....

I also got the sprite jump first, and the runestones last. Though the sight should have been last, the jump just kept letting me find non-rune rocks to use my bombs on, and then I needed the sight to find the last bomb.
Haha, oooh the joys of non-linear gameplay. :3 I don't think it matters too much in the end, except the game might go more quickly for some. I assumed most people would get the runes first, since it's the easiest to do, but that won't be true for everyone...
EDIT: I added a game tip to help with the rune quest. Maybe that will help more people finish it first.

I read the comments before i started playing the game... I saw "The artwork is unbelievable!" I thought to myself that it cant be that good. Then I started playing the most visually appealing game I have ever seen on this site. Great work!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
LOL. What a great description:
"You are a caring, bloated (fat), zen-minded fox." |D
HAHAHAHAHA~ I finally finished it! AHAHAHAHAHA~ >:'DD
Wow, such a great game. I never tried finishing games like this unless they really interest me.. and THIS is a very interesting and creative game! I love it. 5 out of 5 bro.

A small guide- there are four pixies but many more ice crystals, get the four pixies by bringing fire to them from the dragon statue, and go the farthest left shrine for the ability to fly. The items that are in impossible to reach areas need flight to get them. Break the four boulders to use the runestones inside them as teleporters. Find the four ahmni orbs and place them (air is top one, earth is bottom one, fire is left one, water is right one) and items have bright blue sparks coming out of them. Hope I helped.
