The game needs to adjust to all resolution types. I'm not using a wide-screen monitor so the text on the screen is going beyond my view space.

I like the idea of the defense strategy with a mix of dungeon creatures you can have and traps you can set in your little arsenal. But the overlapping game play makes it pretty boring when you reach Level 4 or so and the AI of enemies aren't very bright.

@Templar, I just beat Level 4 again, with NO upgrades (I just put all the upgrades into Liches and Vampires so they have no effect on me for this test) with just Minotaurs in the center and sides (maximize range), and then threw in some Manticores (anti flyers) much later and some spike traps. I am using Chaotic Ranger, Medium difficulty. Move your hero up to center to shoot arrows too while the minotaurs blocked. I barely had to do anything. (the best upgrade tactic is to reset and apply the points to your newly unlocked units, your hero goes up 1 level every map, that means 1 new unit every map. I also like spike trap upgrades, put them 1 spot ahead of your melee units)

This game is wonderful in that it follows the role of a villain. The gameplay and concept are fantastic, but each level will only give you so much to work with. You really have to pick and choose which bonuses you want to get to get any meaningful result in the later levels. That system is a bit skewed in the heroes' favor. Perhaps if gold could be accumulated across the levels it would become a little bit less of a hassle (although I think it would lean more towards a slaughter). Great game overall, but only ever so slightly turned off by the near-100% stock levels. I'd like to see more from this developer

Normally this type of game is my thing, I love em. However I can't help but find this boring and rather difficult. Which to me is a terrible combo. I do not know if it is the simplicity of it or the lack of doing much of anything but it just doesn't give me any fun. 2/5

By the time I finished level 8 everyone's speed was so high I had no idea what was happening, just placing buildings on every square inch. Now I have to beat level 9...

This game is trash. It has the appearance of being actually something, but it isn't. Your lairs die instantly if enemy units touch them. Your items you collected do not carry between levels thus making them pointless. Melee units must be set every single time to increase their patrol range so they actually ever leave their dens. Perk points are so limited you can hardly do anything with them. Your hero's stats/level reset every new map. It's almost impossible to see what's happening due to enemy units being so small and overlapping. So much is wrong with this game. 1/5

"Sir they're sending mages at us, they're slaughtering our goblins!"
"There is only one reaction to this... SEND MORE GOBLINS!"

Made it through the first seven levels pretty easily but lvl eight is kicking my butt when wave 30 or so comes, just so many flyers to deal with.

You dig by selecting the shovel icon among the monster lairs and clicking rock you wish to dig, you can't dig rock blocked by other rocks and diggers can be killed by incoming enemies.

also, does anyone have trouble with lots of text getting cut off? no matter how much i change my zoom level parts of the main screen are still unreadable.

Reset your skills and pick new selections for each level, depending on the demands of that particular setup. And for those having problems with level 4, note that the two corridors are ideal for the use of Boulder Traps.

@alexanderkiller would be cool, but they should put the "invade" part into a 2+ multiplayer so each have their dungeon to defend and each get attacked by some random creeps tho you can buy and upgrade your own invaders and send them to the others dungeon

This game has a lot of potential, but the way it is currently set up it is more frustrating than enjoyable. Would be nice to see some more evolving challenges, equipment saved between levels, the ability to redirect your enemy (perhaps build walls, as well as dig them out?), and most importantly, the ability to reset skills without having to waste time replaying the previous level.

Nice idea, and Beautiful music. But it's too slow. To be honest, I'd feel more motivated if I could replay levels and get my skills up. So, all in all, solid 3/5

FYI -- You will not be awarded the City Sackers Badge (Win Level 9) until you click Finish on the power-up distribution screen. This is required even though you have 0 points to spend and the end-game message has already been displayed. (IMHO, this is a bug.)

Something about the music and style still grabs me years after the first time I played this game. Eerily haunting, maybe taking me back to early memories of D&D adventures. Good stuff. A sequel would be very welcome. Manticore/vamp/gym spam with tough as nails Death Knight blocker to win.

PauloBauCouto, why is it that your profile information is in english yet that post is obviously some foreign language...

Level 5 on hard is a nightmare because of final round (the druids summon bears that actively try to go on to your monster tiles and destroy them).

One of the best games i've ever played. Unique. It'd be nice if it had a few more lair choices, and a few more levels, but all in all, this is a great game.

maaaannn... screw level four. I have no clue what to do, it seems like no matter what i get overwhelmed by a lack of money and huge numbers of enemies. This is less forgiving than demon's souls, maybe I'll just go back to playing that.
