To people who have trouble figuring out how the repeating rifle works, it's really quite simple.
The steam connector at the bottom fires the bullets and the connecter above reloads. You need to use a control valve to alternate between fire and reload as the weapon will not function if steam is going to both inputs at the same time. The gun also fires better if you increase pressure with a pressure valve.

is it possible to beat level 3? if so, can you all tell me the solution? (btw my previous post was right, but I found out how to fix it afterwards)

it could just be that my game was bugged out, but when the boiler is hooked up to an alternator, it doesn't make steam. I know that I didn't screw up the pipes because I even put a gauge on the pipes connected to the boiler and it didn't budge.

so if you are interested in how to actually win, for the first level you want to be able to walk forwards and backwards with buzzsaws, that is enough. For the second level you want to use the repeating rifle (connect bottom chamber with a fuse valve set to 60) and the top one to steam. and also connect crouch to the control valve, then just crouch to avoid his bullets and fire with your rifle over time. For the third level (perhaps the hardest) use a cannon (use a fuse valve set to 60 also connected to a steam tank) and a jackhammer and crouch to avoid bullets, you only need to fire one shot in cannon and then let him come to you and he will be destroyed by jackhammer (use jackhammer with a alternator valve set to 50). THE FINAL LEVEL is quite easy, i used one jackhammer and crouched to avoid bullets. Hope this helps. Remember to set fuse valve/alternator valve with the spanner tool :)

It's not bad all told, but it's too short, and it's outclassed by his later games. A nice early effort, but I'm still glad he moved onto other things.

Frost: The top pipe connect is for reloading, the bottom one is for shooting. Attach a pressure valve set high to the bottom one, and also connect the pipe to the reload chamber. Simples.

small tutorial:
the bottom two brown circles are your power, start your piping from there
when you fight you will see a lever at your bottom right, that will control your control valve(if you installed it) the red circle in the center indicates the pipe being used (eg. half the circle is red on the right the right pipe is open and lets steam through)

NEEDS a 2nd. I have 2 suggestions, though: 1. More than 4 levels -_- 2. When pipes/tanks get too much steam, they will crack, which makes them leak. Or, you could also make a difficulty setting, with that included in high difficulties. Great game though, 5/5

brilliant, *brilliant* idea. I can't overstate how much I love open-ended puzzle/challenge games like this, where I get to design and tweak something. Notes, though: a tutorial would help, and the first level isn't in-depth enough to count. In fact, with as few levels as there are, this feels like it should be the tutorial for a full game that hasn't been developed yet. The ability to save/share/export designs would be cool. Fighting other peoples' mechs would be exponentially awesome. Also, timed switches/valves would be really cool, and not just to make a machine gun.
I'd give my right arm for you to make a sequel. Incomplete as it is, this is one of the coolest games on kong. Let us fight each other's bots, and it will be far and away the best.
